I really enjoy the way they keep the beta fish now. Definitely way better than seeing them in cups with no filter/running water. They also have a nice selection of pet foods and toys for all species! :)

Love this place they have always been so helpful and make sure you ha e what you need. I have a 55 gal fish tank and I needed help with my filter system and the lady took it right in and helped me right of the bat. I feel bad cuz she remembers my name and I can’t remember hers :/ but I also got a bearded dragon from them for my kids and they love him. They always have what I need for food for them and everything I needed for the fish tank. They also have real good cat and dog food. Really love them here. ❤️

The person's running the store we're incredibly helpful and seemed to have a large understanding for the array of animals they sell. The selection isn't massive, but it was good quality2024 update: they have a new, larger location, and is really the only local place to get feeders (both insect and rodent)They have a mid sized selection of reptiles and a very small but surprising section of invertebrates (tarantulas, and scorpions) as well as a few different types of crabs!While the enclosures aren't anything to write home about, they're adequate for display housing cuz again, this is a pet store. Prices are a little higher than I expected, but when it's the ONLY place to get live feeders in the area, you just have to bite the bullet. (For example: it's 1.75 for one horn worm for my tarantula, I but 2x, and a dozen crickets, and paid 5.70, which isn't bad at all, but my scrooge mcduck heart breaks at 1.75 per worm 😅) if you frequent the store, you can sign up with your phone number and save a few cents, which racks up!They also sell all odds and ends of reptile/fish/mammal supplies! It's where I get most of my bird treats and toys!They sell tanks and im pretty positive can order them too!They also have deals on Cash v Credit! For example they have a beautiful ball python for sale. She's 650$ with a card, but only 450$ cash.All in all, if you need anything specific to reptiles or birds, I absolutely recommend Frank's.

Their store in Northpoint is excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I will be using Frank's for all my fish tanks and snake supplies and food!

Since moving to their new location, Frank's pet shop has turned into the premiere spot In LaSalle county for all things pets. From separate climate controlled rooms for birds, reptiles and furry animals, to the widest selections of premium dog food, I recommend this state of the art pet shop for beginners through seasoned pet owners. The associates are extremely knowledgeable and as friendly as they come. You've got questions, they've got answers. 5 stars across the board, highly recommend!

This place has to be one of the top 10 worst pet stores I've been to. Their set up is nice but the way they take care of the animals while in cages are are wrong. I had to explain to one of the workers how bad the hermit crab set up was. They have all reptiles in one area which is heated when half the animals there should have been in cooler temps then the other animals there. I give props to the young worker who took advice an changed it up asap but as for the owner she has no idea what she is doing with these animals and it's sad

I love this place I drive an hour and a half to go and check them out. Beautifully re done stocked with very neat fish,reptiles, birds and all kinds of things. Wheelchair accessible, knowledgeable staff will order if needed. Also very overly fair prices. I will continue to make the drive.

They are very nice every time I come in. They have a good size amount of fish to pick from. I have a 55 gallon tank and almost all my fish are from there. Also got a bearded dragon from there and he is in good health also. They always have crickets when we need them. And they are helpful with any questions that you may have. First time I went in there the lady helped me out so much and helped me figure out how to have a successful fish tank. They are amazing here :)

Very friendly. I went in strictly for their saltwater fish, which is just a very small section of the shop. I was very pleased. All of the fish looked to be in good health and very reasonably priced. I did not purchase anything, but I will definitely be back when I am ready to add another fish to my aquarium.

It's a great shop. They are still setting up at their new location. They have fresh water and will have salt water fish and aquarium supplies. Dog, cat, bird, and small mammals supplies. They offer water testing for aquariums.

The pet store is awful! We went to buy a bearded dragon (lizard), and the bearded dragons looked dark as if they were burned from the hot light directly on them! The one we got was skinny and very pale than usual, and a month taking care of it, it began to act sick, and not eat. We took it to a vet here, and the vet said it was healthy. But, it died afterwards because we thought it might have a parasite. He said we were doing everything right for it, and taking care of it well! I bet it had the parasite before when it was in the store! The workers acted like they didn't want to work there. The workers even said you can only feed the bearded dragons crickets, but Dubai Roaches are very good for a source of food, and a snack. We asked for a dozen, and the woman at the counter didn't look on how many she scooped, and just gave us what she had.

Small store but packed with merchandise. They have a variety of things you would need for reptiles. Staff was super helpful showing me the correct size of feeder I would need for my new ball python and took the time to give me tips and information on feeding. Will visit again for sure!

Sarah's very knowledgeable about the fishes and was very attentive and helpful as it's our first time to have pet fishes. They also test the Aquarium water for free if you bring samples in.

I went there about a month ago to get a hamster. The employees are very kind and helpful. Someone locked their keys in the car next to me and an employee (I think it might have been the owner or manger) helped them get their car open. Even though I live fairly far, I know I’ll be getting most of my pet supplies there. My hamster is doing great and they have a loyalty program for food and bedding. I think it’s like every five or so you get a free bag or something like that.

I called a few minutes after the store closed and explained to them that I was out of fish food (completely out). They said they would wait for me. I got there as soon as I could. What a wonderful home town business. You know people at the big box store wouldn't do that. I love Frank's Pet Shop!

One time I called to make sure they were still open 10min before their listed closing time on a Saturday, mentioned how I was very low on dog food and they are the only place in town that sells what my dog eats. They were kind enough to wait until I made it across town and said "we were happy to stay open a few extra minutes to ensure an animal didn't run out of food." Also more than a handful of times I have called to see if they would bring my order out to my vehicle because I am disabled and they are more than happy to assist in any way they can! Parking lot could use some gravel but that does not take away from their kindness.
