WARM STAY!We stayed here on the way to Galena. This is the only hotel in that area that offers lower prices. There is a subway at a walkable distance. The staff members at the front were warm and friendly. They even offered us some cookies, Tea and food. The room was comfortable. The pool was nice and clean. Breakfast was good and laid in a nice dining room. Overall we had a good time.

Pool and hot tub broken. Nothing posted on web site or when checking in. No discount given when question about it. He stated just broke down but reading past reviews it’s been down since May 2023. Scam artists! Don’t stay here! Breakfast was a sad breakfast that I could find better at a gas station.Noteworthy details: Pool and hot tub down and broken.

Very convenient location, but unfortunately that is the only perk. Extremely dirty and run down compared to when Helen owned and ran it. Most recently had issues with BED BUGS. The hotel does not appear to be equipped to deal with such things. Am writing this on behalf of my father and the hunting group he stayed there with. They will not be staying there again.

We paid on line a month in advanced and when we got there. Knowbody told us that the pool was down. So when we asked they said it just went down and they weren’t going to have it fixed until next week. Didn’t give us any discount when they said we did. After looking on the reviews it looks like the pool has been closed for months. Not work coming here.

We just stayed for 2 days. The gentleman at front desk was always warm and inviting. The room ,pool , hallways and front are very clean. There only a few small things they should have fixed. The elevator carpet needs to be redone. New remotes for TV because there where no more writing or numbers on our remote. The beds are firm and I loved the pillows. We would stay here again!

I am considerably disappointed in our stay. The pool & hot tub are down and looked to be down for quite a while as the bottom of the pool was green and slimy. The TV remote has only worked half of the time. The bathroom floor had not been cleaned appropriately. The hallway has an odor to it on the second floor. I think it was supposed to be air freshener ,but it stunk. The tiny refrigerator is only slightly colder than room temp. I will not be wasting my money here again.

Spent a week and a half here for work and couldn't be more pleased. The staff including Dan, Lauren, Kayla and I am not sure the names of people who manage it names but they do a wonderful job and work hard to make the Country Inn and Suites the best it can be. The big kicker for me after staying there for a week and seeing staff every day I was under the weather and the manager called my room and asked how I was or if I needing anything. Small things like that go a l long way for me. Not a bad hotel for a ton of 1900 people. With a Family Dollar, Grocery Store, Subway and gas station all within a block I don't think you could have a better location.

where do I start got there The A/C unit didn't work and made a loud noise. We were in a whirlpool suite, and when I looked in it, it didn't look very clean. There was hair inside of it. The shower also had hair inside of it. the pool was closed, and after reading some reviews, it looks like it has been closed for at least a year. The beds are uncomfortable, and the pillows are very flat. Overall, it's probably one of the worst places I have stayed.

The hotel was nice BUT they list a fitness center. Well they have three treadmills in there, 2 that wouldn't even turn on and the other the deck under the belt was busted and you sink in! How can you show three and NONE working?Noteworthy details: Get treadmills that work and are we not 20 years old!

This was a great alternative to staying at eagle ridge due to being a bit more budget friendly. It’s a small hotel but it was okay overall. The reason for 4 stars overall is because our refrigerator inside the room wouldn’t stop making noise; and going to sleep while listening to it was hard. Our mattress seemed pretty old and beat up. You’d fall into the center of it as if there was a ditch in it. I’m not sure how to describe it. It was either broken or used a bunch.

Wonderful staff - Lakash at the front desk and a second employee who was quite new there - both super friendly and professional. Both made our stay very comfortable and warm. The hotel was a little bit understaffed, as these two were running hard to serve everyone at the front desk, on the phone, for breakfast and in every room. But they did their best and we were very satisfied and appreciative for the three nights we just stayed there.

The staff was nice; the room was pretty much clean (for what I can actually see), and amenities were great. Coffee/tea was available late. Most places don't offer actual breakfast for free, and that was great. The only thing is that the sausages don't seem cooked all the way. It was great that it was individually wrapped, but it tasted a bit uncooked. Overall, it was a decent experience and just glad to have breakfast as part of our stay.

Severely disappointed with this stay. The pool was closed for repairs. My non-smoking room smelled like smoke. The room was dirty, with items left in the refrigerator, and pet hair and dander on the TV stand. Several areas in the bathroom, including the sink and the toilet, were cracked or chipped. There were paint splatters on many of the doors in the hallway. Though breakfast was decent, a few items like batter for the waffle maker, and cream and sugar for the coffee were not provided or restocked.

Clean room. Pool / Hot tub down for maintenance.Complementary breakfast was poor.No serving utensils. Potatoes were dry and tough French toast so dry and tough I couldn't cut it with a plastic knife. Empty syrup containers. Just not up to Country Inn standards.Observed maintenance issues. Owners need to get ahead of these issues asap.

We have stayed at Country Inn and Suites in Stockton, IL many times in the past, and it has always been a delightful experience. Our stay this past weekend in Room #110 was way below par.1. No soft water. The water was extremely hard and very difficult to use. We’ve always enjoyed conditioned water at this CIS.2. No snacks in the vending machine. The only product in the vending machine was “All” detergent.3. No pads or pens in the room.4. Lavatory faucet was not fastened down and leaned to the left. When I asked the desk clerk about someone from maintenance looking at it, I was told they didn’t have a maintenance person. The desk clerk came to our room and examined the faucet. He said he’d have to think about it for a while, and never came back.5. The faucet handle in the tub/shower came off in my hand.6. It wasn’t as clean as we expected.7. Stopper in sink did not hold water.8. No place to hang towels. When you only offer housekeeping every third day, you need a place to hang used towels.9. The toilet did not flush appropriately. You had to hold the handle down to get a complete flush.10. We stayed for two nights. We were locked out of our room on the second day.We have visited this area many times in the past. We have many family members and friends living here and have always enjoyed this CIS. This visit was very disappointing and expensive $257 and not worth the price we were charged. I hope it improves soon as poor customer service will lead to its changing to another lower grade motel chain or closing.

I have been coming to this motel every fall for over 20 years. The rooms are always spotless and the beds are very comfortable. I just finished my stay this week 11/7/22 and I found out that the motel is under new management. Every day the staff said good morning and how are you today and I found that very refreshing. When I was eating the free breakfast they put on which was delicious, staff came up to me and asked me if I needed anything extra. Wow, this is how any business should be run - with personal caring service. Before this stay, I can only say that the service was average. The new owners really care. I just found out today I left my jacket at the motel. I called to report this and Lokesh said he would ship it back to me free of charge even though I offered to pay $25 for his time and effort. I look forward to my next fall visit as I have made new friends. I highly recommend this motel if your travel plans bring you to the Stockton Il. The gentleman Lokesh was so personable and helpful - I wish all businesses could follow in Lokesh's footsteps. Thank You Lokesh for making my stay 5 stars. Clark

4 couples stayed Sept 13. There was terrible confusion at the front desk when checking in. 8 people waiting to check in, 3 people behind the desk, apparently only 1 competent person working. When we got to our room, the bathroom was visibly not clean. Toenails on the floor, and other things that should have been swept/mopped up. The next morning I notice the shower curtain has mold on the bottom, tucked up under a bar in the shower where it’s very visible. Then the highlight is when I step out of the shower and there’s pee all over the base of the toilet. I would not return to this location.

I am very upset and disappointed with our stay on 12/10-12/11. I paid for a hotel room that they charged me $170 for and I went online and the hotel room should have only been $88. Then they told us we couldn't go swimming before the pool closed, mind you it was only 5PM and the pool wasn't supposed to be closed until 10-11PM. On top of me paying for a hotel room they made me pay $158 for a swim party, which should have been free since I paid for a room. Went for breakfast downstairs the next morning and there was nothing to eat and my daughter had expired milk. The last straw... THEY TRIED CHARGING MY CARD $3,455 the night we checked in and my bank flagged it as fraud so now I'm without a debit card.

Hotel I will never stay at again. The room smelled so bad. Told the front desk about it and she gave me a spray air freshener. Didn’t help at all. Very dirty and stained linens and towels. Dust on the phone and coffee pot. Really gross!!! Not worth the $130 I spent. Actually should get my money back. Must have some nice rooms, but I didn’t get one. 😟

The hotel has a friendly helpful staff. The room and common spaces were clean. The bed was comfortable. They have a nice indoor pool and hot tub. The breakfast was hot and adequate. The decor is dated but at this price point it was fine.
