I came in about 430 and I was rushed and made to feel like I was stealing because I had workers every two minutes come up to me and ask if I needed help. its like bruh, I can read and I know what time you close why TF am I being harrassed every time I'm in this store near closing? and then I walked out and the manager was screaming at me. the manager at Dunham's sports on 4/21 working close needs fired if I go back and she is there I will NEVER be back to this store again, and I will continue leaving bad reviews until she is gone I had at least 3 people come up and ask if I needed helped just because it was 10 minutes before closing. I even told the cashier WHO WAS THE MANAGER that I felt as if everyone thought I was stealing with the way they kept harassing me. I have receipts of the time I was there. I felt very unwelcomed I hope something is done or I will never be back along with my family. The cashier who was the MANAGER WAS EXTREMELY RUDE AND SHE NEEDS FIRED THAT IS THE MAIN REASON OF MY REVIEW. 4-21-2024 17:59. She needs fired OR I and my FAMILY WILL NEVER BE BACK.Later I'm looking at receipts and the time says 17:59 that = 5:59pm which is incorrect its currently 5:39pm so how does that make sense I was there at 4pm close to 5pm so you guys also need to fix your time on top of your attitude. Pathetic.

Hidden gem 💎! I've been traveling here for work for a few years now and I decided to go. This is the go to store for everything! From clothes to sporting goods to guns! Also found a sexy pair of camouflage panties for Eshrat to wear and subsequently ripped off!! ❤️ Love this place!They have a great gun selection too! Unfortunately, no one was there to do business.... 😔

Dennis Phillips is very knowledgeable on firearms. I bought a hellcat on Black Friday and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. I also liked how everything was handled when I came and picked it up. Gun was locked and he also walked me out of the mall. I did appreciate the costumer service and professionalism I received in the purchase and will do more business in the future.

They have a good selection of 9Line t-shirts, and a HUGE assortment of work clothes, as well as sporting clothes. Around Independance day, I bought a variety of patriotic clothes also.

Good sales and with the coupons you can actually find find some great deals on women's athletic clothing! I was pleasantly surprised! 👌🏽😊Only one star from perfect though as the young man that was my cashier didnt give me my Whole discount because he didn't realize that he needed to scan the bar code of my email coupon and I had to go back to the store to get it corrected. Better training from management maybe?? 🤔🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

This place is very expensive! $$$$$They had a New Year's day sale. That's why we tried to see if there were any good deals. Hardly anyone was in there. 1 cashier. The yoga pants that they had on sale for $9.99 were size small and thin, cheaply made in China. Advertising them as women's. Never going back. Big waste of time.

5/19/2022 at 2:30pm. I asked the cashier if they had a go-cart in stock, she called another young employee to assist me. I asked him if there was a go-cart in stock. He informed me that there wasn't. I asked about the two displays on the floor. He informed me they do sell the displays. I asked him in the case I buy the display, will I have all the parts and pieces that come in the box. I also asked him about a discount for purchasing a display model. While i waited 20 minutes for the employee to return, i was looking over the display models. One is leaking brake fluid on the floor where it sits. The brake system didn't function. Of course, i don't want to purchase that one. So, i look at the other one and it is scratched and scuffed up. I thought to myself, i guess if i can get a disconnected price, i would risk purchasing a display. Finally, the employee returned to inform me that there are no other pieces that come with these go-carts besides what is already attached to the display and that they could print me out the owner manual. At the moment his manager was talking to him on the radio and i overheard him say, "as for the discount, those are going up in price." So, i have a manager who has 2 display models, one obviously broken (leaking brake fluid) and one scratched and scuffed model and doesnt think a customer deserves a price reduction to purchase it. This Go-cart was $700.00 last year, it is $1,000 this year, i couldn't get a discount...... i will remember.

Waited at the ammo section for 20 minutes and had to call the store to get someone to help just to be told they can’t sell me ammo without a foid card after informing them I’m not a resident of Illinois. They told me it was illegal to sell to me which the law says non residents are exempt from foid requirements. Asked them if it was a policy or law which they doubled down its the law. I can respect a company policy but don’t misquote a law you don’t know ( went to gun shop 10 minutes later and they sold me ammo with my id)

If it wasn’t for the decent prices I’d give this place one star! Literally EVERY TIME I check out I’ve never been greeted with a hello or hi how are you or anything pleasant. It’s always “what’s your phone number” or “can I have your phone number”. I seriously want to some day stand there until they say something nice.

Dunham's sports, in sterling, has a wider selection of products than I anticipated. I went to a larger store and the selection was pitiful for fishing rod and reel combos. Customer service was nonexistent. However, at Dunham's, I was greeted warmly. Asked if I needed help finding what I was looking for because their selection was such, I couldn't decide. Their prices were lower than reasonable. In short, great selection, customer service and prices. I will return.

I took my son here to buy equipment for baseball season. It took us forever to find a sales associate to help with cleats. Where was everyone? The cleats were in the middle aisle of the store. That wasn't their fault since we were directed to the baseball section first which was at the side of the store.The very last thing that we needed was a bat. We found a bat with a sale sign above it for $59.99. It was the first item that was scanned, but it did at $69.99. I asked why this wasn't the lower price. I would have gladly gotten the correct one. The cashier radioed someone to ask, "I think that they picked up the wrong bat, but which one is on sale?" Mind you, there is a sign that is above the one style of bats that says $59.99. The person responded, "That sale doesn't start until tomorrow." TOMORROW??!!!When is it okay to advertise a sale price before the sale and then have the nerve not to give me the sale price?! This is bad business all the way around. As a long time retail sales manager, I would have never denied the sale price. Secondly, if I were to set a sale the night before while the store is open, then I would make sure to honor the price and communicate it as such. I made sure to have the customer leave satisfied!! Dunham's is one of the few sports stores within 30 minutes of my house. Now I know that I should have trusted my gut and drove the hour instead for Dick's Sporting goods.If you think that I created a scene, I most certainly did not. It was agreeable and even tempered. I made it seem like it wasn't an issue. I put the bat on hold to get it today. The associate took my name and wrote it and "Tomorrow" - no date, no telephone number, nothing else. However, the lack of effort on the staff's part to help me either find the correct sale bat or show me that the sign had a date on it FOR TOMORROW (which is now TODAY) put a horrible taste in my mouth and does not motivate me to drive back the 30 minutes to get the bat my kid wanted.

Customer service is great. Store was neat and clean. Things were easy to find. The one and only negative about the store is the prices, unless you're after a sale item. But highly recommend going here!

Anything basically you need for hunting orclithes for family. Helpful employees finding item neeed. Since the previous review 2-3-22 we visited Dunham's we bought hand Gun Master PA the price clearly said $7.99 each but clerk rank each up at $17.99. Now the last I know the customer right??? She says 'can't you the 1 in front of the 7 and it clearly wasn't there. So watch how things are priced

Great store for this town. Wide selection of products. Stopped in browsing for a bicycle and walked out 20 minutes later with a great deal. Only thing that kept this review from getting 5 stars was the lack of customer assistance. Asked for help getting bicycle off middle rack and help never showed up. Left to get bicycle down by myself.

The staff was friendly when approached. This is a nice, big facility that offers many sports-related items that include kayaks, golf clubs, various guns and ear protection, athletic shirts, shorts, sweatpants, sports bras, insulated mugs, and various other items. Some of the clothing that are not on sale can be a little expensive, but there are quality things in this store. The fitting room was big, but did not appear to be cleaned in a while. Some of the shorts ran smaller than my size, while other shorts fit. I would suggest trying on the clothes due to the inconsistent sizing. Otherwise, not a bad place to shop around.

Very poor quality in employees. I have yet to see any enthusiasm and as for the knowledge of products they are selling. It's hard to get anyone that know what they are doing in the gun dept. Nice smiles when you come in but when you get deeper in the store employees seem to be bothered by any questions you may ask

Went to purchase a firearm and mentioned out loud that I liked the laser on it for my wife since she doesn’t shoot much and thought it would be a good fit for her as well. Kid freaked out behind the counter and said it’s against their policy to sell firearms to anyone that’s getting them for others or as a gift. I told the kid it was for me and that I wanted the gun but that my wife had her foid card and if I chose to leave it home once and awhile and she used it I didn’t think that was any of Dunham’s business. Ended up talking to the store manager who said the kid said I said it was a gift and I explained to him it was for me but that I liked the laser option for my wife, who has a FOID card, if she had to defend herself at home. Long story short I argued for about 10 min got asked to leave and went to riglers and bought the gun and openly talked about why I was buying it and they were very helpful as always. I will never step foot in this store ever again.

Nice Sports, and Hunting gear Store. A good place to buy all types of Sports gear, and Hunting gear. I've bought some nice things here, back some years ago. Before, and when it reopen after that bad storm that took off the top of that Dunham's Sports building. Now it's up, and running again like new. Thanks Dunham's Sports for my Sports gear.

Would leave zero stars if possible. Tried to buy a treadmill took ticket to counter clerk who said she couldn't ring up without a bar code. Had to walk around to find a sales person. They said they would call the front with bar code. So walked back to front the clerk said no one had called and she wouldn't call anyone. I will take my business elsewhere. You would think a store would want to sell a big ticket item.

For the love of all things paintball. DO NOT. get your CO2 tanks filled here. I brought in 6 tanks and if those 6 they broke 2. One of my friends brought in 2 and broke 1. They refused to give me a refund for the CO2 that I had to purchase ahead of time. Costing me an extra $45 between a new tank and more CO2. Take it from me save yourself the money and frustration. get a tank for $10 cheaper at Farm and Fleet. And get your CO2 filled at one of the two Do It Best Centers in the Rock Falls area.

Horrible place.received gift so of course no receipt.all wanted to do is trade for correct size or store credit was told no can do,store policy.way to so people ya care about no one.if it dont ft to bad.will NEVER SET FOOT IN PLACE AGAIN.and dont get me started about how slow n pitafull service was.cant wait for store to close,that bad of experience.such bad experience I left the stuff there,didnt even want anything from that store in my hand.cant even fathom a place that does that FOR 25 DOLLARS..that still had the tags on it.
