Although the stock is always changing, Dorothy's is a staple payday stop for our family's grocery budget. Cheap snacks for the kids, a variety of frozen meal options for working lunches, fresh meats at reduced prices and the occasional treat we wouldn't have been able to afford from a regular store. The large packages of some items allow us to split with family members or divide into meal portion sizes. We really appreciate Dorothy's. 10 stars, platinum service, super clean bathrooms.

We drove 45 miles to to shop here. Was definitely worth the trip. For 225 bucks, we filled the truck. They don't have everything we needed but the prices are unbeatable. I wish more places were like this.

Great stuff for restaurant supplies and ready to eat meals or freezer meals. I also found lots of ingredients for international foods that I can't find anywhere else locally. The meat is a good deal too. They have a lot of great sales in general for stocking up on groceries and supplies.

This discount grocery store is a classy place. We drive 2+ hours to take advantage of the deals. Staff is very nice and helpful. Surplus product is sourced from the parent company, DOT Food. We get enough good pricing to justify the trip. We usually totally pack out 2-4 grocery carts. No food sales tax in IL!

Alot of things are cheaper at Walmart or other stores. So check prices. Also watch the expiration dates. But, sometimes you can find really good deals and prices.

Unbelievable prices. The sale items are really good deals. I got 5 lbs of 3 cheese shredded cheese for 4 dollars. Usually for 4 dollars you get a only one lbs at other stores. Also you can buy in bulk. Like 10 lbs of philly steak , or lbs of cheap veggies for only dollars. The inventory rotates so you might find something they didn't have before. They do have some staples that seem to stay always.

Stock varies from week to week, so I stock up when I see something I use regularly. Specials are always great prices, but when they are gone, they're gone!! Some items are bulk but not all. Take coolers or insulated bags. They supply grocery bags (plastic and paper). Tuesdays are senior discount day.

Great place to shop with great prices. The inventory includes food from a local distribution warehouse including products near expiration with some products such as chips that may already be past the "Best if purchased by" date but are still of great quality such as snack foods that remain crisp for weeks. If you're one of those people that refuse to eat anything one day past the expiration date and throw that food out then you'll want to carefully check expiration dates or shop at the higher priced grocery stores. However you will find quality, good tasting products here.

Absolutely marvelous! Just as wonderful service wise and price wise as 30 years ago. I had not shopped her so ce a kid when my aunt use to take me on the weekends where she always shopped for the meat for her bbq's and I was so impressed!. Wonderful job guys! Great service and family feel!

This is a hidden treasure chest for food service personell. This place hits a home run with bulk food. Prices are excellent store is clean. Pack sizes are varied. The employee are friendly and helpful. The products they carry are quality name brand's. Hientz, McCormick Land of Lakes, IBP, Frito Lays, Nabsicso, General Mills, Richs and On Top. You will fill your cart with great products without breaking the bank. This is a great place if your facility is on budget and you want to serve quality products!!!! You wont be disappointed!!!!!!!

You never know what deals you may find in the store. We bought some Double peanut butter cookie dough- excellent. Also got a case of yogurt for 3 dollars and its so good

Love this place. Great deals and lots of choices in items you can't find in a regular grocery store. Super selection on snacks and awesome meat deals! Frozen cookies, periogies, veggies, cakes, you can find the coolest stuff here. LOVE it and it's very clean. Great staff, very friendly!!

Found some good deals but it's hard to justify a road trip there. We stop if we are in the area. Dorothy's is not a everyday grocery store. Think bulk buying on most stuff.
