Unfortunately, this location has gone downhill. I mainly utilized the pharmacy, but it was taking them 4-5 days to fill my normal prescriptions. I feel badly for the employees in the pharmacy, as they are understaffed and there has been an influx of customers. My understanding is that the store’s hours will also be reduced and will close from 12pm-7am.

My medicine is always over 5+ hours late. Sometimes even over a day and it’s not ready. I’ve experienced rude window workers, I’ve also experienced them telling me it would be another 20 minutes (after I already had been waiting hours) and then as soon as I pulled around the drive thru to turn the building and was out of the long line, it was ready. It’s frustrating when it’s an every single time experience. I can totally understand it being a once and while experience things happen and I know places are understaffed but this has been happening for years and it’s frustrating when you ready need your meds for you or your children.

If I could give them a negative star rating I would! Two hours after leaving urgent care and they haven't even touched a prescription yet. After standing in line for an hour and a half I was told that the pharmacist went on lunch and this I was told at 8:30 p.m. . Worst experience ever at a pharmacy! Will not be going back and will be pulling all prescriptions from Walgreens. I will not be shopping at Walgreens in the future for any items that I normally purchase there for this reason! Save yourself a headache and an hour and a half of your time and get your prescriptions filled somewhere that cares about their customers! Very disappointed Walgreens, very disappointed!

I’m an animal emergency technician and I had a really bad back injury from work on Friday. I really needed my pain meds but when I got to the pharmacy it was soo slammed. Like literally 20 people in line. And some people weren’t being super nice to the staff. They were rushing around like crazy to help everyone. Just wanted to applaud the workers that were there and their efforts to help everyone. You deserve medals! I was able to get my meds and relief that night because of how hard y’all worked. Thank you so so much for all you do.

Visiting Springfield, my husband got sick and 911 took him to ER at Memorial where he was treated and given a prescription. We chose Walgreens because we've used them at home in WI and they have our information. They would not fill the prescription because some #s on the insurance card were smudged!!! Took over an hour, too. CVS was very helpful and professional. Walgreens was lazy and unprofessional. My husband now does not even want to go back to Walgeens Wisconsin!

Wonder when corporate decided to close this store? Looking back at the reviews six or seven years ago it was a great store! What happened to those employees?

Terrible pharmacy staff. Rude, can’t work the phones, hung up on me 4 times, finally got my prescription (bc they were the only location that had it unfortunately) and the drive thru is closed when they’re suppose to be open, in the rain, 5 people in line, come to the window to say we need to come in. What a joke

What has happened to the pharmacy? Things are ever ready when they say it will be. I was just told my son’s regular med was sent off to an “offshore pharmacy”. Huh? I request on the app that these refills be ready by 3 pm today. I’ve been there 2x today and they just asked me to come back in a hour. I stuck with them out of brand loyalty and that they were open 24 hours. They no longer are open 24 hours, anyway. Moving all my family’s prescriptions tomorrow.

Can we all please boycott Walgreens pharmacy until they are forced to shut it down please? They’re rude, they don’t give a damn, they’re extremely slow, they will condescend when they’re wrong (which is every single instance) and all of the employees have a superiority complex.

This store has more employees and longer hours than any other store in town, but yet consistently terrible service. Every single time they say scripts will be ready they lie and have excuses for why it isn't ready after texting you otherwise. I'm supposed to believe that there's computer errors every single time I go to get my scripts that they stated would be ready?!?! Unprofessional as always.

I dread having to use this pharmacy. I only ever go here when it’s late and it’s the only thing open, since 24 hour pharmacies no longer exist near me. I go elsewhere whenever possible. They often run out of my script. The store is chronically understaffed: the drive thru is shut down a third of the time I go. I have never NOT stood in line here each time I’ve come in to the store, and the line moves slow. Today I spent 15 minutes in line and my script wasn’t ready. They told me it would be a 20-30 minute wait, but not even 5 minutes later they announced my script was ready on the intercom. I thought that was nice, until I asked if I needed to stand in line again and the answer was yes. Wish I could stop giving them my patronage, but in the evening it’s often the only option. They get 2 stars because there is a far worse pharmacy: that title belongs to Walmart.

The only thing good was a pharmacy tech at the MacArthur branch. Now Walgreen forwards you to tons of people who don't know how to help you find your medication that is lost in the system of delivery. Also, lets talk about your terrible long winded robot that answers the call. I bet your customers would be much nicer to your staff if they didn't have to talk to an inept robot for 15 minutes just to get through to the pharmacist. Walgreens you are lucky we have Blue Cross Blue Shield and they only use Walgreens, because I would be switching immediately to another pharmacy otherwise.

I went to this location twice today and each time the employee (208) at the front was so rude to me. First, he didn't say a word to me so I didn't speak either but once I was done he said "hi" to the next women in line. Then, the second time I went, I put in my phone number and as I was typing my zip code, he cut me off by pressing payment so my employee discount wasn't added. I asked if the number went through and he "you were going too fast and it glitched my computer." Since I could tell he wanted nothing to do with me, I didn't even ask him to apply it manually. Which at that point I didn't even have my card out to pay so he was making it out to be my error. As a Walgreens employee myself, I would know if it was truly my fault. Overall he made me not even want to shop there if I knew he was working that day.

Night time staff and pharmacy is useless for questions and alternative suggestions when it comes to looking for basic goods that might be a alternative to something that your looking for and bought several times at Walgreens before. Twice as useless I assume if you have a prescription question. I asked for a product that what listed as out of stock that helps with upset stomach and vomiting. They had no one in the drive through. One customer inside. They told me they never heard of it. I showed them the product listed on their website as not in stock. Asked if I could be mistaken and if it’s available at another Walgreens location. They told me it must of been discontinued. Didn’t check their hand held devices for availability or their computers. Ignored me and started counting pills. Found a Walgreens manager. Explained my dilemma. Again, no suggestions on alternatives or a search for the product to see what happened just a weak apology for the pharmacy. No help whatsoever for a sick 15 year old with influenza. All the other Walgreens should be mad at this location. Ive always shopped at Walgreens and never felt like a dismissed senior until now and I’m only 44 . This location made me realize every locations employees are different. I hope that location changes its attitude. Attitude is just as important as ability. Pharmacy customers deserve some kind of treatment that at least matches what Walgreens claims it strives for.

Called the day before and spoke with a lady about filling my son's prescription. She said it would be ready after 9 am the next day. I show up at 5 pm to get it and they tell me is wasn't filled and it would be another 30 mins and that I will have to come back. I come back 30 min later and wait in line for over 20 min to be told they are out of stock of that medication. At any point through out the day they could have called me to tell me but they didnt.

Absolutely no stars! This happened 8:45-10:00 pm on August 20, 2021. I go to the pharmacy to pick up antibiotics for my abscessed tooth and I’m in extreme pain. Clerk asks my birthday twice says she doesn’t see anything in the system and that the system is running slow but no prescription for me. No problem. I’ll wait. 30 minutes later different clerk same thing. Fumbles with my birthday twice, inputs my information-no prescription. Angry, I emergency call and bug my doctor again on the weekend and she says that she called that prescription in an hour and a half ago. I wait in line for a third time, talk to the first clerk again, she stumbles twice on my birthdate yet again! Inputs in my information and Viola, the prescription’s there. Then she says it is not filled yet in a snotty tone. I ask how long. She says 30 minutes. I will never ever in my life go to this Walgreens again. Deplorable and incompetent snotty service! You should all be fired. Nobody fill your prescriptions here. Read all these reviews. They are utterly worthless at what they do and you will suffer for it.

Not coming back to this location again. The head pharmacist was so rude on our phone call this morning. Short, one-worded responses—I was clearly a nuisance. At the end, when I said I would leave a review, she hung up on me! Management, I would advise you teach your employees (including your head pharmacist!) about customer service and people skills. Bye, Macarthur.

UPDATE: They have reached a whole new level of complete incompetence! My wife called today to refill two prescriptions and was told that they were having problems with our insurance and that she needed to come in so they could see the insurance card. So we get there and are told that the insurance shows that it is valid and has prescription coverage and they contacted the insurance company who verified that everything was valid but we needed to call. I called the insurance and reviewed the prescriptions and they confirmed they were covered. The agent dug a little more and found that nothing had been submitted today by any pharmacy! They subm6the two prescriptions and received approval right away, and then acted surprised that we were still waiting to find out what was going on. What should have been a 10 minute trip turned into over a 2 hour wait because someone never did their job in the first place and tried to put the blame on the insurance while I was on the phone with someone from the insurance company who was willing to stay on the line with me and even talk to them if needed. I can truly NOT recommend going to this pharmacy for any reason, and we are currently in the process of moving our prescriptions to another pharmacy because of this utter and complete incompetence all while trying to place the blame on our insurance.ORIGINAL POSTI thought drive-thru places were supposed to speed things up, but not here! Picked up some prescriptions last night and it took 25 minutes to just get to the window. I stopped walking in just to wait the same amount of time, but when you are inside you get to watch as the person searches three or four places and then surprise the prescription is found in the first or second place when they look for a second or third time. How hard is it to put filled prescriptions ready for pick up in ONE place? Why would anyone put filled prescriptions waiting for pick up in different places so that someone has to search all over? This level of disorganization is unbelievable and unlike anything I have seen at any other pharmacy!

Went in to print off pictures of my brand new grandbaby. Got everything ready and it said the print time for 100 pictures was about 30 minutes. Came back after 45 minutes. I patiently waited behind another customer for approximately 5 minutes. I was then rudely asked what I needed. I told her my information. Then she told me my pictures were not ready. The lights weren't even on in the photo lab and NO machines were going. The entire time I stood there the machines were NOT going. I asked how many more needed to print and she didn't want to tell me. I asked again and she said 60. There was only 2 people in the store both times I went in. I don't understand how almost an hour later she had nothing to show me. Then she started them while I was there. I heard the machine start up and she says 'see that's them printing.' No explanation and no apologies. I might have been born at night but not last night. I've printed off pictures for years at Walgreen's (never this store) and I'm not stupid. I also don't like being lied to. All staff we encountered had no motivation and no hi's, thank you's. Nothing. Nothing but a big, fat waste of my time.Also....you need to turn down the temperature on your water heater as a lady got her hand burnt in the bathroom!!

I wish I could give this location zero stars. I've always done business with the 5th street location. Great staff. Friendly service. I was sad to learn the pharmacy was closing and received a letter referring me to the MacArthur location. I had called in two refills to the 5th Street location but wasn't able to pick them up that day and needed them over the weekend. It being Memorial Day weekend, the pharmacy was closed until Tuesday. I called this location on Friday and made arrangements for them to refill the scripts and was told since one of the medications was a controlled substance my doctor would need to call in a new order. I called my doctor and they called it in. Sunday I called to see if my meds were ready and was told they didn't have any orders for me. I spoke to the pharmacist who proceeded to tell me that since one of the meds was a controlled substance....and I stopped him and said this was taken care of on Friday and my doctor had called in a new order. He couldn't find any records and said he didn't know what to do. I hung up on him and will not be using this Walgreens and have to go without my meds until Tuesday when I can pick them up at the 5th Street location There is a location close to where I work that I will use. The 5th street location was ideal because it was within walking distance of my house. To reach this location would require taking two buses since I choose not to own a car. The pharmacy staff needs a refresher on customer service because this is not how you treat people who are coming to you because they are sick or in pain or have a chronic medical condition.

Was on hold from 7:15 pm til 7:45. Got through at 7:51 and pharmacist says we're closed. Counting me, there were only 3 people on hold. And she said I'd have to go to an Express Care?!?! Dingbat!! Just wanted to ask one question and I did over her relentless talking and not letting me ask my question. She would of gotten out of there a lot faster if she only listened..... "do you have free covid test kits?" She kept reiterating that I had to go to expresscare. Overworked?! Going into tomorrow to get the free covid test kits. They are for my son, and his family. She needs replaced and Walgreens needs to hire more help in the pharmacy. This is exactly why I left Walgreens and went to Kmart pharmacy and then to CVS. 😡😡🤬🤬They're losing lots of money from me taking my business elsewhere

Zero stars! Pulled up to the pharmacy drive thru at 9pm. Staff was rude, had an attitude, did not greet me but instead the first thing out of her mouth was ‘depending on what it is or if we have it, and we close at 10’ . I said ok that’s fine and told her the hospital told me that you guys are open all night. She said well the hospitals wrong in the sassiest way she could. I said ok then she said we just started closing at 10pm tonight. I said Ok fine I just thought I’d let you know they’re the ones who sent me here. She then told me I had to be back by ten. Obviously I know if u close at 10. She was The rudest person I’ve ever encountered. If my son wasn’t so sick I would’ve took my prescription elsewhere based solely off the woman’s facial expressions when I pulled up to the window. Honestly I feel super uncomfortable letting someone like that handle my personal info and medications!! Do better Walgreens because sick people deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and curtesy too!

Sure glad I had almost nothing else to do tonight after waiting an actual hour in the drive thru. Girl took my name and never came back when I finally made it to the window. What a jokeSecond girl came and asked my name and found my meds. Then the register didn’t work, had to wait until she came back from the other one. She was very nice but what a waste of time

I stopped by this Walgreens hoping for its usual great service, but will definitely never go to any Walgreens establishment ever again not even for prescriptions! I am highly disappointed in how I was treated. Not to mention I have only used Walgreens for all of my pharmacy needs but I won’t tolerate a company that is okay with making people of color feel uncomfortable in their establishment. I didn’t even finish my purchase. I bet the only good reviews are from their targeted clientele, which are not black Americans.

The RUDEST pharmacy workers I’ve ever encountered. I am transferring all my prescriptions to another pharmacy (NOT a Walgreens). Each and every person—with only one exception—who works at this location acts like they are doing you a gigantic favor when they finally do their jobs.

I have been using this pharmacy for approximately 6months and everytime I go there they are always very slow and never have my meds ready. This last trip will be my last trip as I am now switching pharmacies. I called in my son's prescription Friday evening and was told it would be ready Saturday morning after 8am even though they needed to contact my doctor for authorization. I called early Saturday morning to clarify as the doctor had submitted a refill prescription. I was told that they did see a refill and that they would start preparing the medicine. I went in around 5:30pm to pick it up and was told it was not ready yet, but that my name was being put on a board so it would be ready in 30min. I had other errands to run and received a phone call about 20min later saying my prescription was ready for pick up. I decided to just go through the drive through, which took 40min to get through the 4 cars in front of me only to be told that they did not have authorization from the doctor to refill the prescription. I would NEVER recommend this pharmacy!

I wish I could give this Walgreens no stars. Yes they are open 24/7, but they are extremely slow and unorganized. I had to wait 15 minutes at the window before I could talk to one of the workers. The worker who saw me when I pulled up and chose to ignore my existence, had the nerve, after making me wait finally came to the window and had told me my prescription was just received and that it would be 20 more minutes and that I would need to pull around while I have a whole line behind me, By the way I called that refill in at 3pm. It is now 730 pm. Lack of organizational skills. Lack of customer service. Bad place to get medicine. Will be changing pharmacies. I will no longer be putting up with this
