Unfortunately all these nice reviews didn’t happen for me. I felt taken advantage of, taking them one truck less than a hour to pull me from the ditch with a 10,000lbs load, charged me $2600. I’m feeling misused the next morning is why I’m warning truckers in need in the Springfield area. Tuxhorn was $580 a hour, is why I was shocked at the price I paid which was told to me at the end of the job. I should have been more patient and waited. Probably would’ve saved almost 2k.

We broke down just outside of Decatur this evening and Shaner’s could not have been quicker in coming all the way out and towing us and our vehicle back to Springfield. Their driver was even kind enough to offer to drive us to our door after dropping the car off at our mechanics. We had already made other arrangements but the earnest and generous offer was greatly appreciated. They kept us warm and got us home on a below freezing night and we couldn’t be more grateful for their services.Also Max the dog was a pretty rad little dude.

My truck broke down in Springfield and within five minutes, a Shaner's flatbed drove by. I flagged down the driver, Thomas, who was more than helpful. He immediately agreed to help with the situation. He moved my truck off of the busy road and set it down in a safe spot. Probably, the fastest, least expensive tow I've ever experienced! I hope I don't need a tow again anytime soon, however, if I do, I will use Shaner's again!

Shaner’s in Springfield has the nicest, caring and helpful people working there. They helped me by towing both my truck which wasn’t working to the dealer and also allowed me to park my RV on their lot (providing me with water and electric ) until I was able to hear from the dealer on how long the repairs were going to take. It took me a few weeks to get someone from home to help me go back and pick up the RV and Shaner’s made sure my RV stayed safe. I was a female alone on the road in desperate need of help and Shaner’s kept me safe and helped finding a place to have my truck repaired.I can not express how grateful I am to them. I highly recommend their services. They truly care about people.

Our tire was flattened when we called Shaner's. The whole experience could not have been better. We called a bunch of repair shops, all of them said they can't replace the tire before Monday. Shaner's towing service came, called their repair shop and told us they can do it today. It got done within half an hour. Friendly stuff, low cost of service, amazing experience. Super unprofessional and smoked getting into my car to give it back after making me wait for over 20 minutes for paperwork. Car was covered in mud and didn't seem like it was well taken care of. Use anyone else.

When I tried to buy new tires, the guys a the tire place found that the people who rotated my tires last time , stripped a lug and didn’t offer to fix it.Enter SHANER’S 24 hr Towing.They were able to fix the issue and charged me less than Brahler’s charges to plug a tire.A great place and awesome people!!

The employees of this company are absolutely amazing and wonderful people. I have on a multitude of visits and services need the employees of shaners. They made sure to be attentive and completely honest about recommendations but not only that but giving different options to not be broke with a compare. I’m thankful for this company. I cannot say enough good things about Shaner's Towing. I was moving from Illinois to Texas last week and the trailer I was hauling had a blowout at almost midnight.. No other service was able to help me. I had to leave my trailer on the side of I55 to get a room and rest. I received a callback from Shane and by the time I woke up, they'd already towed it. They fixed me up and I was on my way the next day. The price was more than fair and the customer service made me feel like a member of the family. My car broke down on Sunday around 11 am on the interstate. A relative suggested I call them for my tow. I called and they were there within 20 minutes. They did a great job at making sure we were off the road and the cars that were coming from behind moved over into the far lane.They offered to let us and the dog sit in their truck. They waited until our ride arrived and did a great job at getting my car onto the tow truck. They were very nice and I would definitely call them again if needed.Service: Car towing

I'm from out if town and have a car that I ALLEGEDLY can't be locked out of but, of course, I was. I had my phone but nothing else. Keys, money, etc., were all locked in the trunk-the doors were locked as well.I flagged down an officer with SPD and he had dispatch send Shaner's. The truck and KEN (yay!) arrived very quickly and popped open the door. The alarm began going off at that point and the trunk still wouldn't open.Fortunately, Ken pointed out that I could possibly get in through my back seat if they weren't "secured" too. He was right and within less than an hour of this happening I was already where I needed to be. All of it cost under $100, including Ken's tip. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH THEIR SERVICE!! Shaner's 24 Hour Towing Inc.I had a blow out just east of Springfield, IL. We called AAA and waited 2 1/2 hours they never came. Deputy Luna, of the Sherrif’s Dept, stopped and contacted Shaner's 24 Hour Towing Inc. Anthony arrived within 20 mins of the call. It was 10:00 pm. I asked if he could sell me and change the tire for me? I didn’t have a spare (Ford EcoSport). He loaded the car and drove me and my friend to the shop. He and Chris sold me a tire, mounted, balanced it, and put it on the car. Of course the shop was closed, but they provided towing and a tire change after hours. They were kind and courteous. Words can not explain how appropriated I am right now to the guys who came to help me on I72 today! I have a 5month old and a 7 year old. My tire got a hole and went flat. The traffic did NOT move off. The tire that went flat was the back drivers side. They were already on their way to another call up in front of me and came back to help me. The guy said he was coming back whether I had someone already there or not. They were super friendly and caring!!! I highly highly recommend them!!! Flat tire at the I-55 Southbound Rail Splitter Rest Stop area, took about an hour after talking to AAA but was a nice day so no worries. Tech arrived and quickly looked at the situation, checked flat and then inflated my donut spare. Back on the road with a recommeneded location to fix the flat with a bad valve stem. Very happy with the service. Thanks

DO NOT recommend this company they will give you a price quote then once the work is complete charge you double without letting you know and then they wouldn’t work with us to lower the price even though it was their fault for lack of communication then Jake tries to up the price while trying to come to an agreement and the office has no idea what’s going on. Save your money and call other companies that are actually professional and reasonable…..not even worth 1 star keep clear of this company unless you don’t mind paying double…

We are in town for work. I had to drive back the 3 hours to home to get my husband's medicine. On the way my tire blew out and I had no spare. Shaners was there immediately to assist me!! I had a flat last night in -15 degree blizzard. They came out to change my tire within 15 minutes. The guy that came, Kenney, was amazing. He made jokes with me since the minute he got out of his van until he left. Which I will say was the quickest I've ever seen someone change a tire. Turned my night around and wasn't expensive at all.

Called for dead battery under AAA. Corey arrived in a timely manner. He was able to determine that the alternator was working appropriately, and he quoted a great price on a replacement battery. We just followed him to the shop where he had the new battery installed in about 10 minutes. Excellent! It was a nasty, cold April Sunday made great by great service! Thank you Corey!
