I came in a couple days ago with some of my friends and I have been debating on leaving a review for a little bit. There was 2 girls there and they were making very inappropriate comments to each other, calling each other names like daddy in the isle behind us. I really was hoping it wasn’t workers but when I walked around to see low and behold it was. I understand being close with your co workers but there are conversations that should not be had at work.I can say I am no longer shopping at petco.

Why have a pickup option in the app if the employees don’t even acknowledge you and/or bring out your items. This has happened now three times, employees will just stand behind their register after taking care of a line of customers and proceed to not assist you when you are parked out in the front waiting for them. White girl, blonde hair pulled up in a pony tail this most recent time…do better for your customers or get a different job.

Stefany is a fantastic dog groomer. My dog has a lot of anxiety, and she puts her to ease. Stefany's cuts are fantastic. Petco is lucky to have her. Can't say enough good things

I’ve been going here for a while now and the staff just isn’t friendly. Petco was having their 20 percent off bucket sale running from the 14-20th. Well you guys ran out and still advertise around the store about this sale. SoI asked about the sale today 1/20 and yeah I was met with rudeness and an awful look on this girls face that I asked.Also been there numerous times and there’s always dead fish and everytime I’ve gotten fish from here except once, they’ve been sick. I have established tank, running over a year and these new fish just are always sick.

They have a awesome selection of fish! I was so excited to see they had a royal pleco and reasonably priced to boot! All of their fish looked healthy and in a good price range.The manager was also super nice and very helpful! She was very knowledgeable and the fish and when we couldn't find the cat food in stock that we wanted she helped us get the best replacement she could!

I love Petco!! Their vitalcare Premier has saved me so much money on food and litter. I feel like it’s the target of the petstores in town. The girls in there are always super helpful and funny. I’ll be signing my puppy up for classes soon and I’m sure it will be great 🙂I super recommend the vitalcare premier though. If you have the funds to sign up for it it’ll pay for itself.

First off let me just that the manager at this store is extremely rude. We drove 45 mins to get a bearded dragon. She was rude when we were asking questions and against my better judgement we went ahead and purchased the little guy Mainly because we felt sorry for him. Only after being told that if for any reason we could return him for a full refund. We had him a week and he was not eating or pooping. We have 2 other bearded dragons that we got as babies and have never had any issues like this with. So we ended up bringing him back. When I took him back to the store the manager first tried to tell me that I could not get my cash back just in store credit which would have been fine if I lived closer and actually shopped at the store. The purchase was over 300$ then she proceeded to tell me that they do not have that much cash in the store. After pretty much demanding my money back she “crunched” some numbers and magicallY pulled the money out of the register! I would not shop here. The ferrets they have were out of water after telling the workers they just kind of looked at us with a crazy look on their face. If I could give them no stars I would.

I recently went to Petco in Springfield, IL to purchase fish for my son's new fish tank he received for Christmas. The store associate Eric was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all the questions I had about starting up our new fish tank. He was great and taught us some useful facts that I didn't know prior to coming into the store. The fish and animals also looked very well kept and healthy. I will definitely be going there in the future for all my pet's needs. Thanks Eric!

Store is always clean when I go. Only thing is I ran across was they are only having high end dog food, most of the time.I love my doggos but now a days who can afford 50 dollars for a large bag. other then that is was a good place to shop for your furry or scaly, or feather babies

Went here a couple weeks ago. Not real founded of how the store is laid out. Looks like no items are where they need to be. Employees do not seem to know much of the job or fish. Why hire someone who knows nothing on what they are doing lately? Also dead fish where in the tanks which can make the rest of the fishes sick.

Went in to get cat treats. Asked attendant where they were. She helped us find them.We had our 2 dogs with us and we enjoyed strolling thru the store. Always like to see the cats up for adoption.

Was going to get some mollies this last weekend, noticed that a few seemed to be unhealthy. A dude who claimed he was the manager simply said "this isn't my department, so it's not my problem". Wow dude, you hate your job that much you can't even listen to me just trying to point something out...needless to say, I didn't buy any fish, and never plan to again from the "not my problem" store.

Went in quickly to grab a reptile tank and noticed the one leopard gecko they had in there was sick and starving. Extremely skinny, tail was no bigger than a pencil and he was breathing super shallow. I also noticed a frog that was upside down and not breathing. They clearly are not taking care of their animals.

Love the Springfield, il location the staff were amazing to George Albert II, its not that im afraid of what will happen with me, but him being with others and his trust issues on his end. From the worst day of his life to the day I found him on the streets, to my scared puppy to an amazing man, thank you for treating him with amazing love. I know he was tough as nails, but u took great love with him.

My dog and I had a delightful experience! This was our first time going, and we were so happy with our toy and treat finds. I was pleasantly surprised at how many non-toxic toys (and made in the USA) there were to choose from and how many plant based treats/food there were! I was also blown away with how many natural options there were for dental, flea & tick, baths, etc! Times have definitely changed for the better! Very happy with our purchase and will be back in the future! I would love to see even more plant based vegan treat & food options as my pup can't have animal products. Everyone was super nice and helpful!

Its my fault, I was expecting Petsmart, and I just assumed I made a mistake in believing Springfield didn't have one.Great place if you want to rob a store, dark - dirty building, with 2 employees who would rather be watching their phones than aiding a customer.Bought a hand full of fish and a pair of small plants.( One in the bag was fully rotten, the second had 1 leaf that I am hoping to save)All the fish either died in the bag or within 2 days of being housed.Yes they have a 30 day return policy, but a 65 mile drive to town isn't worth the gas to be given more diseased animal / plants.So Yes. In the other strip mall is Petsmart.Don't go to this terrible Petco.
