Thr gentleman working behind the counter was extremely rude. He told us he couldn't show us anything because it was only him and 1 other person working. They weren't even busy. There were 2 other people. He told us to call ahead next time we come after we told him we were from out of town. His tone and manner just sucked. I won't be going back there ever. Monster pawn down the street was a much better atmosphere.

Those from Kims are thieves. I was 3 days late for the loan and the manager who was a worker before thinks he is the owner and stole my gold. I do not recommend dealing with these people. and I paid 4 months of interest and for 3 days I lost the clothes, they are thieves

I had a chain on layaway there and I had payments of 135 dollars not having my paper but knowing I had a payment coming up I went in and paid a hundred not a thing was said that the payment was 135. Friday December 29th I came in to put additional money down and I was told my item was put back into stock and my money was taken for a restocking fee. I asked about it and they said that I had made a 100 dollar payment and it was supposed to be 135. I said I wasn't told that the day I put money down and they said it wasn't there responsibility. So they took my money and now I'm also out of a chain.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Do not do business with these people.I've been a long time customer and up until recently I haven't had any issues. I'm now getting low balled, terrible customer service, and when I asked to speak with a manager she hung up on me ! There is only ONE PERSON who should keep the job because he even apologized for the terrible service.

These guys are great. They'll take almost anything that's WORTH selling. As long as you do your research and get a good idea of its worth, rather than asking way above it, you're good. They won't take your rusted jumper cables though, sorry folks. They're here to help you in a pinch, nothing more

Most of the staff seems to be cordial, but one taller dude was extremely rude.I inquired about a price on a item and he seemed bothered to help. When I showed him they’re asking more $ for an item that’s used and missing parts vs what it sells for new at Walmart- He told me to go buy it new then and walked away. Weird way to negotiate.When I asked about an another employee to help, was told “they’re busy” lolNot much of a reviewer but this was enough to drive me to come leave one.Yikes

They have a wide variety of things, and they always have done me absolutely great! My personal rating for this company and store is a 10/10! The Decatur Location is just as awesome as this Springfield location as well. Both get my personal, professional 10/10!

I bought jump pack they gave me 24 hr return money back it was dead so I put it on charger for 6 hr and still not taking charger.I returned it want my money back the one guy said no money back u can have in store credit I said ok and got another jump pack it was worse then the other and I took it back the bad thing they put the one I returned back on the shelf for sale. I was totally unsatisfied with the customer service I recieved

Your attendance are very nice and pleasant. They always help people that come in the store looking for certain items. It’s a clean nice environment. And I enjoy going into look to see what they have and you do you have a wonderful manager by the name of Dan thank you very much and all your guys are very good there and girls thank you.!

Bought a used firearm and was not impressed. I understand their policy- that didn't really bother me. Can't remove a glock slide without pulling the trigger and they wouldn't remove the trigger lock for me, but at least sell your guns in acceptable condition. When I got it home it was obviously never cleaned. Had the factory glock "copper lube" still on it and black deposits from being shot plus the barrel was dirty. Never dealt with them for buy/selling other items but as a gun dealer they are mediocre at best based on my experience. Price for the item was average...

Went in looking at making a firearm purchase and the staff was more than willing to go out of their way to help me out. I was given a fair price for my trade items, and given a great deal on my purchase. The staff is very polite and knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make sure you leave satisfied. We visited Springfield IL Pawn King searching for a couple items. Quickly located a generator being offered at a Manager's special pricing. It was an excellent deal and quality brand name equipment. I have been checking for a trucking gps and pleasantly surprised to find one today. Also in great condition and unbelievably priced. Shopping was pleasant as items are organized, priced, and available to test out. As a last minute idea I chose a wrench set , brand new as a Christmas gift. Finally and most importantly we checked out and were offered a $50 discount on our big item. Always feels like a win-win situation when shopping at Pawn King and working with store manager Dan. His sales people are knowledgeable and more than willing to help customers. They can count on our return trip !

I frequent this place because they will generally work with they can be busy as all get-out but still somehow find time to help you no matter how large or small the purchase is. And every purchase is treated like hey big one. The workers there are very attentive without being overbearing. It's my favorite pawn shop in the whole wide world. I can't speak to the pawning aspect of their business but as far as selection and prices, you can't beat. They will bend and haggle if you'd like.

I have shopped at Pawn King for years. I have always felt welcome as I walked through the door and is greeted with a friendly smile and a nice word. The merchandise is always in excellent condition and is priced very fair. I recommend to all, stop in and check them out, you will not regret it and might actually find what you are looking for. I brought a TV and wanted to just return it I had the receipt and all and being I didn't get the protection plan they offer I lost out on 100 dollars. I'm not happy and will not be returning. I would understand if I didn't have the receipt.

Springfield's Pawn King has always quenched our thirst for finding new items that obviously we couldn't live without!! They have a great range of everything. Most pawn shops that I've dealt with previously I haven't gone back to because there lack of variety. I'd rather go to one place and find multiple things instead of driving around. They have some awesome tools, guns, cameras, guitars, electronics, and most importantly swords and knives!! Each time we go (monthly) we end up with 5-15 knives/swords for our collection. The prices are great!! Matt, who is a cool dude gives us good deals when we bundle. So blessed to have found this great place. Would highly recommend this pawn shop!! Great shop with amazing deals. Zack helped me out in picking out a quality TV, he was very helpful and knowledgeable of the products and services. He was extremely nice and professional and even sold me the tv for lower than the original asking price, he gladly bought one of my old useless small tvs for a decent amount as well and allowed me to make payments on the new tv. I was thoroughly impressed with his service and the amounts and quality of the goods sold at the store. I will absolutely be back.

I was recommended Pawn King by a good friend of mine because I was looking for a new gun and I was not disappointed!
