Great deals but filthy, cluttered, and very dirty store. Obviously lack of staff of take care of things. You get what you pay for, but still sad to see corporate allows this.

I usually come to this location and the staff is great. However, my cashier today was terrible. Her name is Sarah. I have had her ring me out twice on different days. The first time she was asking me personal questions about my watch-how much it was did I have an acct for it and how much a month I paid. And then she launched into a five minute story about her niece having a cell phone and she thought she was too young and wanting me to agree with her which was a little uncomfortable. While she told me all of this she stopped ringing me out and there were people behind me. Today was worse. I have zero issues waiting in line - I have worked in customer service for 20 years and I have no problem waiting my turn or when things get backed up. BUT she didn't finish ringing out the lady in front of me for a few extra minutes because she was reading a bottle of shampoo from my order. Two people told her to have a nice day. She grunted at them. Two employees told her to call for back up because her line was long. She didn't acknowledge them at all or call for back up. She tossed all of my items (I mean literally threw them) in my bag on top of food items and crushed them. I had my hand out for my recipet and she started to put it in my hand and then slapped it on the counter. I didn't say anything to her or anyone else because the line was too long at that point. Everyone in line before me and after me was polite (no one was complaining about waiting) but she didn't speak to anyone. She didn't tell them their totals or make eye contact with anyone. Dollar Tree was my first job and I know how crazy it can get, that everyone is short staffed and how rude customers can be. None of that was happening-every person ahead of me told her to have a good day and thank you. But her attitude was disrespectful to her coworkers, rude to customers and I'm sorry but throwing someone's purchases in a bag and ignoring people you are supposed to be helping is terrible customer service. Everyone else I have ever spoken to at this location is amazing. But I have never felt so disrespected just standing in line in my life.

On three different occasions at the Veterans Parkway store, the personnel has been rude and obnoxious. I love this Dollar Tree but will go elsewhere where I can have a peaceful and enjoyable experience. I had to report a certain cashier who plopped my bag and change on the counter, had no personality or social skills, and did not give me a receipt. On another occasion, a worker kept yelling, "the floor is wet", very loudly and rudely. You could hear her all over the store. She did not expect the customers to use the isle until the floor was dry, as if she was at home mopping.

Some of staff people we're very friendly. You can't take carts out of the store but when you have trouble breathing it's hard to carry all the sacks to the car. I had to have help carrying somethings to the car. But I found some good things, I'm glad I went.

Last visit there was a roach crawling around on floor by checkout which I stepped on it, floor was dirty, needed sweeping & washed. Carts blocking area where the frozen/refrigerator area making it difficult to get merchandise. Checking out the was fine which the person was friendly & curious.

We just left this store and the products and store itself were fine. It was the slow, lazy and poor management that disgusted us. A fantastic check out guy named Z was doing ALL THE WORK while 2 slow moving, lazy females in the back little room did nothing. The poor kid asked for help checking out bc the line was 7 people or so deep. After 10 minutes they still did not help. Only after he needed change did they MOSEY on out at a snails pace with change. They clearly had no clue how hard this kid was working and did not care that he needed change quickly. By this time the line was 8 or so deep. Disgraceful. That is the impression we got. My husband and I shook our heads. Well we think employee named "Z" was fantastic with a big smile and he worked very hard. Keep up the good work kid!!! Don't let lazy management ruin your fantastic outlook. We won't return. It was too painful to watch!

Nice and clean. Well stocked with nice variety. Covid precautions are well utilized and visible. The one odd thing is their return policy. Even with a receipt you get even swap. I enjoy shopping here.

This location is absolutely HUGE and a bit overwhelming. It had a lot of products but sadly it seemed they were behind on stocking because of all the boxes. But I dont blame the staff because it seemed that they were very short staffed but the staff they did have were very polite and professional, and working very hard and for going to this store for the first time I had a very nice experience and I wouldn't mind going back.

Wide variety of items, love the fact everything is $1. It was busy when I went, but staff was quick to open a second lane to help customers. Only downside was the fact the merchandise was a bit unorganized. Overstock was on the floor and looked cluttered.

The store on West Jeff is the best one in Springfield..The manager is such a hard worker and so friendly..The other stores have empty shelves..boxes in the isle you cant get thru...this store is so neat and organised an clean..I say Jefferson but the one on the corner of Mc Arthur and Jeff...not the one way out west next to Tasty Kake that store is gross.

Good selection that does change from time to time. Place seems a little run down, but when everything’s only a dollar, I can understand that. My only recommendation would be to keep overstock out of the isles if possible. Other than that, it’s a fairly good store.

The store was busy and unclean.The cashier was professional.with a good attitude .The prices were good ,because everything was a $1. There are cleaner store in Springfield, Illinois. This , is a MANAGEMENT issue. I would not recommend this store.

Everything is literally $1, so if you don't mind NOT paying for name brand. I got party supplies for two separate birthdays, including eleven "Happy Birthday" balloons with helium, napkins, hats, banners, everything needed for barely $65.

Cashier said that she couldn't accept a $20. The building was not clean. This meaning floor or windows of the frozen foods. The floors were gross, and looked like they haven't been mopped in a few weeks.
