I have been searching for a groomer here in Springfield since we moved from FL. When my search came to Doggone Gorgeous I said well yes my furbaby is 😍 Appointment same day actually ten minutes after I called. I am sooo pleased at how beautiful my shih tzu came back to me. My hubby was also commenting positively on her teddy bear face was cut perfectly. I’m not good on names but she’s awesome 😎 Patches 🐶 will be a regular ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ fyi your signage made me giggle 🤭

First time taking my 2 dogs today. One is a miniature dachshund, and other is a bloodhound. First calling and scheduling their appointment was easy, & quick. They greeted me promptly, they were friendly, made me feel welcome, they were kind to my dogs, they did what they said they would do, and they're not expensive!! I will be taking my dogs again.

The first time I took my pup they were great had him in and out in an hour with bath, nail trim and ear cleaning. The second time I took him it was awful!! I told them when I made the appointment and at drop off that I live out of town I would be waiting in town for them to get done. Almost 2 hours later I went to check on him because I still hadn’t been called and the person that was to do my dog had just showed up. So my dog sat in a tiny cage that whole time for almost 2 hours wth! So I waited another hour went to check again because I seen the guy walk out so thot he was finished no I was told my dog was drying so he stepped out to smoke. I peeked around the corner and there idea of your poor babies getting dry was the dogs in cages with a fan blowing right up against the cage and a wet towel over the fan and cage with the windows open and it was very cold outside. Wth!!! I was told give them ten more minutes I gave them thirty went in again thinking he would be done and they still had not even started clipping his nails. Ten minutes later they bring him out to me and they didn’t even clean out his ears! I will notBe back. They lady was extremely rude told me they don’t have a certain time to be done with the dogs unless u clarify u need him done at a certain time we’ll I did that when I booked the apmt and when I dropped him off!! Don’t tell someone to be there at a certain time to shove there dog in a cage for 2 hours it’s pointless! The whole experience was ridiculous! I will not Ever go back and I hope whoever reads this doesn’t as well!

Dog Gone Gorgeous is great. Lyric always does a great job with my little havenese. He used to not like getting his hair cut but since I started going to Dog Gone Gorgeous he doesn't mind. He always looks so good after he gets the full treatment. Glad I found this place.

I took my English Setter, Lela to them after a long time with out being groomed. She is very sensitive and fearful. Most times when we get her groomed she comes home afraid and won’t eat and hides for 2days because she has been so traumatized. NOT this time she was happy and cuddly her usual self, not to mention she looks gorgeous! So happy with the experience. Thank you everyone we will be back.

Excellent, personalized care for our Mastiff. They did a wonderful job with her, her ears, and her toes. They went the extra mile on an allergy bath and deep conditioning and she is a world of difference immediately! Our big girl really doesn't mind a spa day at doggone gorgeous!Sidenote: the entrance to the shop is on the north face of the building, Jefferson Street side. I had difficulty finding it the first time I went.

Edit: it's been two weeks and our pup STILL smells great! Even through rainy days and lots of outdoor time. She still looks amazing, too! Ask for Lyric!I took our collie mix here to see Lyric and she did an AMAZING job. Our fluffball looks so great! I had to switch groomers after our previous groomer became unreliable, and I'm so glad we made the switch. After leaving our previous groomer, we'd come home and would still have so much hair shedding everywhere... After Lyric, two days later and shedding is still minimal...leads me to believe that our previous groomer wasn't brushing out as much undercoat as much as she needed to.SO. I'm very grateful for Lyric and the work she did. She's so nice and very obviously cares about each pup that comes through. When we went to pick up, another dog was being picked up and had a seizure at the door. Lyric made sure to stop and make sure the dog was taken care of and you could tell she would've reacted the same for anyone's animal. We'll be back for SURE. Thanks Lyric!

A man who is like my father had a stoke and I was late after me and the rest of the family had spent all night at the hospital with him. He literally almost died. I called because we missed our app. They where so nice and understanding and even asked how I was holding up when I was dropping my 2 boys off. Nicest ppl ever and my dogs always look amazing

Usually great service, must of gotten a new dog washer. he is Rude and he lies. They were backed up and than was rushing me to get there. Lied and said He called and talk to someone and I am the only number on the account. I Called and talked to a lady and told her I would be there after I ran an errand she said fineRushed me with 3 dogs and excusesThe second time I was rushed to pick up dogsIf we have to wait because you are backed,you can wait also.

My groomer did a great job with my German shepherd. However, I observed another groomer that literally dumped a doxy to the floor from it's cage and then put her foot on the dogs neck to hold it down! Totally uncalled for. I won't go there again.

I would like to address the man with the huge & extremely matted Komondor. We explained to him on the phone that we had never groomed one before as they are a very rare breed. The different lengths of hair was due to having to use different size blades because of the mats, as far as the bleeding on tips of ears because the dog had all the heavy mats shaved off his ears he continuously was shaking his head in the crate hitting them on the walls of crate causing the bleeding. Had the groomer known she would have immediately removed him but she was unaware because it can sometimes be loud with all dryers on, barking dogs exc... I have since talked to the owner as I would never just let that go. We take pride in our haircuts & do not skimp on dogs for speed time. We are very good to our dogs & they are treated very kindly!

I heard from a past worker that quit due to the owner, the owner and bathers tie your dogs up with a chock leads by neck and belly to force them to stand so their underneath will get dry faster so the owner can take in more dogs. When confronted the owner the owner stated “when dogs get tied up, their gonna get tied up.” They don’t use collars they use choke leads . 😭this is traumatizing😭 please don’t take your dogs here these people aren't nice at all to the dogs here!

I have been taking you dog to Doggone Gorgeous formally The Dog House for over 8 years. I always have a great experience there. The owner Myla always works around my busy schedule do to me working in the healthcare field. Oreo always gets the extra love there that he needs. Many times the might have to play for a few before he will actually let Myla cut him.( Hes a spoiled baby). I will never go anywhere else with my 4 legged friend. You guys are the best.....

Myla is the ONLY groomer I trust with my shih tzu Murphy. He has a history of aggression but he adores her. She's so patient and gentle with him. My dog knows her by name and gets so excited for that car ride.

Had no knowledge of how to care or groom the breed of dog I brought in.My dog came back with several different lengths of hair.Also came back with the tips of his ears clipped off and a cut on his chest.The woman informed me that she didn't know how that happened and that when she put him in the holding cage "his ears weren't like that" his ears were dripping blood and she has the audacity to tell me that he must have been scratching at them...NOT THAT THEY ACCIDENTALLY CUT THE TIPS OF HIS EARS OFF!oh and to top if off I paid $120 for such service

The groomers there do a great job!! The building is dated and somewhat tucked away from the road. The dog holding area can uses some work as well but they are doing what they can with what they have.

I have always had a great experience here. Both my dogs are little terrors but have no problem here! They are always friendly and I can tell they treat my dogs well.
