First time taken my two Pomeranians to the groomers and this company did amazing!! Michelle was our groomer and she was nice, and helpful with tips for my dogs fur. Very happy with this location. And I already booked my next appointment with them.

My dog was cut on 3 different places after getting groomed. I sent photos to the owner of the cuts, and she claimed they looked like moles. Did not refund the groom, nor did the groomer apologize for cutting my dog. DO NOT GO HERE.When I finally got into contact with the owner and stated I was calling about my dog getting cut, she named off a DIFFERENT dog that had recently been cut. Sounds like a common occurrence.

My Pomeranian, Charlie, has a lot of medical issues right now and can be a bit fearful so I needed to stay with him during his bath to ensure he did well and was picked up properly to avoid further damage to his spine. I was surprised when Sam agreed so readily, and actually encouraged me to stay, when I had been turned down by several others. Since he had missed several grooming sessions due to health and does not like (hates) to be combed, he had many mats to deal with. Sam worked her magic with him and gently combed and cut the mats out of him. He did not yelp or cry out once, and at one point actually stretched his neck and kissed her. That one action told me this was the place all 6 of my dogs were going to get groomed. He had accepted her, felt extremely comfortable with her and was so relaxed with her gentle brushing and the background music, that he went to sleep on the table. This little dog has had to be muzzled at times in the past. I cannot say enough good things about all three of the staff at Dames. They definitely have a system where they work as a team - and they are very successful at making it look so easy and orchestrated. I highly recommend them and cannot say enough good things about the team.

We have been taking our German Shepard to Dames and Sires for about a year now. I absolutely love it. They greet him warmly and by name every time! The staff are so genuine and loving towards, not only my dog, but every other dog I’ve seen them interact with. We will continue to bring Brooks to Dames and Sires for his every grooming need. They are aware of his nervousness about being bathed and work really hard to make him feel comfortable and less afraid. They take such good care of our boy at Dames and Sires! ❤️

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We are fairly new to the Springfield area. I researched several dog groomers before deciding where I wanted to take our two dogs. I brought our tiny Biewer Terrier puppy to Samantha for his first haircut! She did an absolutely marvelous job. I am very happy with my decision. She took the time to understand how I wanted his cut and was very gentle with him. (He is only 3lbs) Tomorrow am taking our 12 year old Maltipoo for his haircut with her. She will be our boys’ go-to groomer!!

Samantha and staff are Great, I would recommend Dames and Sires to anyone looking for a Groomer. I had to find a new one when my previous groomer told me my dog was to BIG for her to groom any longer. Samantha did not hesitate accepting a new 120 lb Golden Doodle , love her !!!!!!

They an tails to remember are both fabulous, sweet and of impeccable quality. They took in my poor devon for final services after hours, and the presentation of his final keepsakes was touching. Devon was a special old man and they did right by him and i will not ever forget them. The actual pet spa was.immaculate, friendly, and welcoming as well. A fantastic establishment

I absolutely love this place. Bailey although isn't a fan of any groomer, walks in without a problem. This is saying a lot from a dog that would need a water bolus and anti- diarrhea and nausea pills from the vet after a grooming. Not to mention another bath. We have been going here since they opened. They are all so nice and loving to Bailey. They treat her like their own. Bailey even gives Sam hugs. I would recommend Dames and Sires to anyone that has an animal needing groomed. Also to anyone that has a special animal that requires love, patience and attention. Samantha is the best.

I am very happy with the job they did. I have a large Great Pyrenees who doesn't like to be touched in certain areas such as the feet. When I dropped him off, I emphasized that I didn't expect them to be able to trim the fur on his feet or clip his nails. They could have easily just left those alone, but instead, when I picked him up his paws were nicely trimmed and his nails were clipped. They also removed some of the matting I was unable to get to during my normal brushing and made him look very nice overall. Finally, the price was very reasonable for a big dog and was actually below what they originally quoted me. We will definitely be going back.

This is the best place to take your animal for care in cleaning. They do it all and my dogs love to come. They are anxious to get in and get their treatments they need. The staff is very kind and pleasant and most willing to serve. I have been to several grooming salons in Springfield, and this one has got them all beat. Thank you Dames & Sires for treating my dogs so well.

I'm pretty sure Sam is a magician.I have two very stubborn, very nervous dachshunds. One of them is absolutely terrified of nail trims. Last time I had his nails done, it took three vet techs twenty-five minutes and they weren't able to get every nail. I always dread scheduling these appointments because it's such an ordeal.Sam had both of my dogs done in less than ten minutes with zero struggle from either of them. I still can't believe it. Sam is our hero and we are now loyal customers for life!

I haven't been taking my dog that long but she loves to visit. This is the first groomer I've used where my dog isn't scared to go in.They do a wonderful job and take great care of your furbabies.

They were great with my cat. My cat is 11yrs old long haired and had never been shaved before. They let me stay with her and hold her while they shaved her. Such friendly people!

These guys are fantastic with my little guy. In the past he's fought groomers to the point of nipping but Samatha and her team worked with him, was patient, paid attention to his comfort and made the whole process so easy and much less stressful than normal. I will be the first to recommend them to anyone! The price is slightly more expensive (less than 10 bucks) than places like PETCO but the experience is definitely worth it.

So glad I found this place! The best and cheapest place we have went to. My dog doesn't have to be there all day like where we used to go. Here he is done in a couple hours. I trust Dames and Sires and they are always very friendly!
