Won't be buying a camper here. Went in just trying to get an idea of what we would be looking at for a down payment, but ended up with a hard hit on our credit on a camper they insisted was within our price range, but was almost $200 a month over what we said our max budget was. Called to see if anything could be done because that's not what we wanted and they say there's nothing they can do.

I would like to commend Sarah for assisting me today. I called to confirm my scheduled appointment for service. She informed me that she would have to transfer me to the service department. She also informed me that she had just transferred another customer and if the agent didn’t pick up to leave a message. I informed her that I preferred not to leave a message as I have never received a return call. Rather than her just transfer me anyway she put me on hold and went to the service department to get the answer to my simple question. She confirmed that I was scheduled for service and I would receive a call prior to the technician coming out. I could only wish that in future communications with this establishment others learn from her initiative to assist the customers.Thank you Sarah

Don’t do business with this company at all !!! We bought a motorhome for $113,000 when we did not pay for their service contract they had their service dept mess with things to try to scare us into paying for it like taking out fuses so things wouldn’t work cracked the water line open just a little so it wouldn’t build up pressure was supposed to do a oil change told me they did it and as soon as we drove away it started flashing oil change required lane assistance was going off awning wouldn’t go in or out stabilizers we’re stuck down wouldn’t go up and crazy financing we literally went to our credit union the next month after we bought it and refinanced it dropped 5 years off the loan and the payment went down $25 complete crooks lucky for us I do all the work to our rig but if you don’t know how you are in for a terrible experience !!! I only gave it a 1 because there was no option for terrible !

Mt experience with camping world was horrible. I was warn by several rv owners before I took minds there and believe me never ever again. Their service department suck to the highest level. They cost me so much money because they didn't know how to shut my vehicle down. I had a leak in my fresh water tank and I had to return there just to show them where when all they had to do was to look on the freaken ground. DA???? They cost Big time and money this past summer and I am presently waiting for a right size replacement part that Steve Wonder could have seen was the wrong size for my vehicle. I could write a book on why not use camping world for repairs. There is much more I could say about my experience with them, OH! Oh! Let me say this one last thing. I took it to camping world against the advice of other people that had Bad experiences with them before because I said to my wife " they are nation wide they've got to know what they're doing. BOY WAS I WRONG. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

The service department is the worst I have ever seen. Every time we take it in with a problem it is not fixed. We have had to do our own repairs. This last time the toilet was spraying water from the back. I explained they checked out the tank and told me it was not leaking. I never said the tank was leaking. I said the toilet. Then asked if I filled water up correctly. It is going on three weeks. Still no camper. Still won’t return calls and messages left. Seems like they need new staff or maybe I need a new company to purchase my next trailer from. Would not recommend this service department ever.

Based on our experience This company will violate federal and state law with sucking you into a good sam membership card that auto renews without giving you the required written notification, give your debit card information to Good Sam and Good Sam will change you for renewal without notice prior to the annual renewal date.

Camping world of Springfield IL was awesome of the best experiences professionally that we have experienced they didn't give up til they got us in a RV and Devin was incredible he went above and beyond for us I couldn't believe when they told he was new and first rv sold he was such a natural and Joshua in retail was awesome too making sure we know everything going forward and thorough they made us feel like we was joining the camping world and good sam family so more than 5 stars 🤩

The staff at camping world took great care of us as we shopped around for our new travel home on wheels☺️ They were very patient with us, as we took the time to search for the RV that would be perfect for our family. Dustin was awesome when it came to giving us pointers and things to think about when purchasing a unit. They even went the extra mile to obtain an RV that we had our eye on at one of their other locations. They made sure everything was up, running, and in great condition. And I can’t forget the paperwork. I’m sure I’m not the only one that doesn’t like paperwork😩Lol. But the finance department had everything ready to go, so that it was a prompt, but yet, efficient process. We are so excited for our new Class C motor home and all the “perks” that Camping World hooked us up with. So excited that we camped out in our front yard the 1st night! Lol. Thanks again! We will be back soon, I have shopping to do😊

My wife and I went in to look at floor plans. We had no plans to buy a camper that day. A salesman came by the name of Dustin, very nice, not pushy ask us if we need any help we told him we were just looking he left us a card told us if we had any questions to give him a call, we found a camper that we really liked. We called him he came over and helped us answered all her questions and took care of getting a deposit on the RV. We bought the RV the following Saturday. Our experience with Camping World was very good. We walked through a service. They demonstrated the camper to us even though we have been previous RV owners, sit down with finance paid for the trailer, and then we went for the store walk. Everyone in the store was very kind. Very nice to us, I would highly suggest Camping World. If you go to Camping World in Springfield, I would go see Dustin Jackson he took very good care of us.

We’ve looked at campers for years and years. We’ve always owned one, but Kyle was excellent at showing us and pointing out the different details that each company offers. He was so polite and so patient with us. We will definitely go back and see him for our next purchase.

My wife and I took our fifth wheel in for some water damage in the back wall four months ago. We had to literally call Forest River ourselves to make sure that the damage was covered by warranty. Every time my wife or I try to call the service department in Springfield Il. we get sent to a voicemail and seldom ever receive a call back. This has happened on numerous occasions. We end up having to drive 40 miles to the store just to talk to anyone about our camper. We have tried to call this last week to get an update on the camper and it has now been 7 days with no answer. My wife called for the manager today but apparently they were to busy to talk (imagine that). Anyway its the end of the day and still haven’t received any callback. After this is all over I would NOT recommend anyone do business with this company. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Went here looking for replacement parts for my camper. A gentleman said good morning as I made my way to the building. He was the only one that spoke to me. There were plenty of employees there, they even walked past me, but no one said a word. I spent 45 minutes looking at their merch. to find nothing I was looking for. Sure would have been nice if someone would have asked if they could help me, could've been out of there in 5.

Our salesman, Philip Clark, was amazing. He took the time to listen to our needs and our budget and showed us every travel trailer that fit those needs. Even the ones outside in the scorching heat. With camping at an all time high right now, thanks to Covid 19, they are very busy and must sanitize each trailer after someone has been in it so please be patient with the friendly and very helpful staff.

I'm giving camping world a five star review this time. ( My toilet stop working in my fifth wheel.) I walked in to camping world and was helped right away, the young gentleman showed me the toilets they had on hand and also crossed referenced the toilet to makes sure it was going to fit. In and out of the store under 30 minutes. I did the install my self really easy.

I would give zero Stars if I could this place kept my little A camper for almost 100 days just to fix windows and some small stuff. In the process of fixing my windows they left the camper outside with the windows out and it rained and destroyed my custom mattress and the wood underneath the mattress and destroyed the tabletop next to it which had black and green mold they had nothing to say about it. The day I seen this was supposed to be the day that I was picking up my camper they told me they was going to detail it inside and out they did not there was dirt and grime everywhere the window sealant job they did look like a 5 year old did it. I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever bring my camper to camping world and i don't recommend this place to anyone go somewhere else this place will keep your camper for months and months also every technician there are wannabe techs they all need to go back to school absolutely disgusted by this business need to hire SKILLED technicians

Came here to check out some trailers and had a lot of questions about towing capacity for our truck as well. Seth D. helped us out and was very knowledgeable about both trucks and trailers! He was able to answer all of our questions and then some without trying to sell us on something we didn't want. We let them know up front that we weren't there to buy anything that same day and he still answered our questions no problem. I'd definitely recommend going to this location and asking for Seth.

Worked with Randy at Camping World in Springfield IL to buy a 2 year old Class C. Sales team was great to work with but problems with the slide and 3 repairs prevented me from finalizing the sale. 2 180 mile round trips dissuaded me from making a 3 attempt at purchase. Now looking at a smaller class b and less complications.

Decent place to spend an hour or so. The grandkids absolutely love walking through the RVs parked inside. My son and his family own a fifth wheel and camp as often as they can so they like to come out and see what new items they have in stock. A bit on the pricey side but the customer service is usually pretty good.
