Ordered two items, one of which was a vanilla shake with lime flavoring in it. Similar to a frosted lemonade but with lime instead. The girl who took our order was nice and polite but after we ordered an older woman came to the window a few moments later and told us she wouldn't make it because it was "disgusting" and that she wouldn't give us our money back if we didn't like it. Then she tried to explain to us what we were asking for like we were stupid and she finally stopped nagging us after me and my girlfriend both had to tell her we wanted it more than enough times and that we've ordered that same item before and it's been fine. I've been coming to tastee freez for almost 20 years and this last visit definitely makes me rethink ever going back.

The prices are way too high for what you get. Spent $20 not including tip on a large vanilla cone, med. fudge sundae and asked for the smallest vanilla in a dish. I had my dog with and they gave us a dog sundae with treats in it even though we didn't ask for that.

Cash only!! A seasonal stand, Tastee Freez has quickly become my husband and my go-to for summer treats. Incredibly reasonable prices and honestly almost too many choices (maybe that's not a thing!). If you get a malt or milkshake, you'll be surprised at how heavy it is- because it's real, quality ice cream, not whipped full of air like some places. Ohhh man, now I want Tastee Freez again....

I have been to a lot of ice cream shops. This little hole in the wall had amazing ice cream. I only order a twist in a waffle cone. Holy smokes it was huge. But I took one bite and the taste was beyond any ice cream I've tasted. I'm not sure how to describe it. Kinda like more rich, creamy & flavor. I will stop there if I am ever close to that area every again!

Delicious ice cream with lots of choices! Our group splurged on the Bostons which are half shake and half sundae on top. I had the Carley one which was delicious (caramel, banana, and graham cracker). We had a great worker who was beyond helpful and incredibly delightful! Prices are high. Most items were $5. Really good ice cream so it can be worth it! Spent $21 for four people.

One of my only actual reviews, I went with my cousins and family around 3 weeks ago, got 2 ice creams, both twists with the first being chocolate vanilla and my second being strawberry and vanilla. Really good stuff there.

Just went to get 3 cones! Just 3! and I wanted them to put the 2 ice cream cones in a cup! My total was about 12 dollars! I told her how much are the cones she told me 2.50 plus the cups that I got these people for real charging me 2 dollars for each cup that I got! The quality of the ice cream isn’t reasonable for the pricing! Last time coming here!

The best ice cream in the world! I'm serious tho!! I drive back an hour from Peoria often to see my son whom lives over that way and we always stop and get the ice cream cones there. (Sometimes up down banana split but mainly cones) It's so creamy and delicious and have never had any other that comes close to theirs!! Well Done Ann!! 😁😉 It's David btw

My wife and I stopped here on our way back to Peoria. We were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was! Be aware that it is a cash-only type of establishment. Don't let that deter you though! It was great. I got a chocolate dipped cone and she got a birthday cake dipped vanilla cone and we were both very happy.We will definitely be back. And my wife says to the lady who tried to pay with the $100 bill, haters gonna hate. It's good. Don't let other reviewers fool you. YOLO!!!

Woman was really rude when I called. The lines are always really long. They are overpriced. Ice cream is not even that good. I'd recommend going to Grandma Rosies!!! They are affordable, I love the staff, and the ice cream tastes better.

I was born and raised in Southern California and my parents would take us kids to Tastee- Freez in the 60's and 70's. Our favorite was the sundaes they served in collectible little plastic baseball caps you actually ate out of. They had every major league available....It was a great time back then.

Went to get chocolate ice cream and this isnt the first time this has happened, I pull up to the window over an hour before closing and they say there cleaning the chocolate ice cream machine. I asked to talk to a manager and she said I cant have chocolate ice cream and slammed the window down on me. Machines shouldn’t be closed for cleaning during business hours.

Too pricey; considering the mediocrity of the desserts. Also staff is rude, especially the owner. Asked them to fix my order once and they didn't do it right. So I went back to ask them to fix it once more and the owner demanded I pay for their mistake and then when I refused she grabbed my blue raz slush and threw it in my face. Not I nor anyone in my family will ever set foot back in that place!

This place has my favorite vanilla soft-serve! I've been going here since I was little and try to visit at least twice a summer. Their Oreo Flurry is great! I'm also a huge fan of their cherry slushie and banana split (I prefer the boat instead of the upside-down, but that's just me).I've only ever had an issue with one lady where I went during the weekday and she kind of assumed that I wanted an upside-down banana split without letting me finish the order and walked away to start on it. I was rather upset with her, because it put me in an awkward position since it wasn't for me, and the person I was getting it for likes it a certain way in a boat.Other than that one bump, I've never had an issue with any of the girls there. They're all sweet. And yes, they are cash only, but this isn't McDonald's. You want a place the locals go, this is it!

This is my favorite ice cream shop in the area. Rich and creamy ice cream, great sundaes, delicious shakes, and very friendly service. It is a cash only ice cream shop, so plan accordingly.

John Mellencamp won't find a chilli dog for Jack and Diane here, but he would find good ice cream at a reasonable price. Fast service despite a line around the parking lot. Definitely would return when I'm back in the area.
