The cashier never got off her phone during our entire interaction while I was checking out. The employees were about as useless as welfare collectors. They should automate the cashier and hire one person to stock the shelves and the place would run itself better than those people are running it now.

When I was there I was in line waiting to be checked out and the cashier had a lady ahead of me .. the lady got dizzy and almost fainted if it wasnt for the cashier realizing she needed help she would of hit the floor .. the cashier yelled shes going down and call 911.. she had such good compassion for this lady in need.. she impressed me with her knowledge of medical and caring nature (I'm medical as well and was helping) .. luckily the lady made it home safe and was ok to leave

They are so nice there. They are always helpful, they always stop what they're doing to help. Although they be very busy, they always help me with a smile. Thank you to all the helpful and courteous workers at Sparta, Ill Dollar General Store ☺️

Laresa is very AWESOME! When my daughter broke her ankle, and we had to shop. She let my child (7 at the time) sit up by the cash register, by Laresa so she didn't have to use her crutches throughout the store. I can say when we shop there its always clean, and most of the staff are friendly.

Good bit to choose from and great prices and the store is small and tightly packed in a good way you don't have to walk 5min across the store to find what you need and the employees are helpful if you need them

This is in a small town with only a Walmart and an Aldi to shop at, that I've found so far. I don't patronize walmart and Aldi has pretty limited selections so I was super stoked to find Dollar General for the things I couldn't find at Aldi.

The store is often cluttered and overstocked with narrow aisles - common of many of the smaller location Dollar Generals. Awesome friendly customer service so I'll definitely shop at this Dollar General again.

They have what I need without having to go to that "other" big store and spending forever just to check myself out. I like the fact that Dollar General has friendly staff that are willing to help you find whatever you need.

Dollar general is always fast to check out. The people there are really respectful and sweet and they have every thing you can think of in there . Very fair on prices .

Absolutely love the digital coupons and it's large enough yet small enough to find everything you need in a timely manner, unlike Wal-Mart.

Got pretty much everything. It's good to keep in mind though that if you don't know if it's there, then it's probably best to ask an employee, they're always willing to answer.

They changed their milk supplier, no skim milk and the cottage cheese is blah. When the updated the store they should of included fresh fruits and veggies like the Marissa store.

It's a alright place to go get your escentuals but they are low of stocked shelves right now due to the COVID 19 but return to normal eventually.

Most of the staff is nice & helpful. However 1 clerk on 11/9/16 around 4:00-4:30 talked rudely and horrible about customers as they left the store.
