Things really went downhill after the pandemic. I used to love coming here for the convenience of getting my dog’s nails trimmed. Now, they are always understaffed and constantly closing earlier than what’s advertised on the website. It feels like every time I go they are unable to do a simple nail trim. Because I know they are understaffed, I called to make sure someone was able to take care of my dogs nails. I was told to come in anytime before 3. When I arrived, grooming staff told me they were busy and asked that I come back in after 4:00. Okay cool, no problem. So I go back at 4:00 and the groomer tells me they stop taking nail trims at 3:30. I proceeded to let her know that I was told to come back at this time. She told me she wasn’t the one who told me to come after 4 and that there was nothing she could do. Poor communication between staff and poor customer service. I recommend taking your money elsewhere!

Had been taking my dogs there for years. They were just groomed in July and saw the vet in September. Made appointment and some mgr who sounded like she was 12, called me and said they couldn’t take my one dog bc there were notes that she was “unable to stand.” I said nothing was ever said to me and she needed to get more info. She called back and said the groomer stated my dog “fainted”. I said no one said anything to me and I would’ve investigated it right then. Then she said THEY weren’t comfortable taking my dogs anymore… as if!!! So God knows what was done to my sweet dog.

There was an appointment issue but they quickly rectified the situation quickly. They took very good care of my baby. His haircut was very nice and he smelled incredible. Thumbs up to Laura and her team. Thank for all you do!!!!! Bram's Mommy☺

We have been having Tania groom Joe for many years and she is now doing the groomiing for our other dog son, Sammy. We love her and I know the pups love her. She always takes good care and they smell oh, so nice when they come home!

When dropping off my dog, I specifically communicated that my dog had a lot of anxiety and I specifically asked if they were ready for her appointment. They said yes and no problem. After three hours I went up to check on her status and assumed she must be done after all that time. I was told she was not. Four and half hours later I finally got a call, they were just trying to get her out of a cage and informed me that she had become “kennel aggressive”. When I rushed up there I found her in miserable conditions, inside a tiny dark cage with a tube strapped to the front blowing inside, with the overwhelming sound of at least 10 massive blowers in a tiny room, with no water....and she still had not been groomed! I was blown away that they blatantly lied to me and then essentially tortured my dog. The minute she saw me open the cage she came right to me, no problem. I can’t even imagine what she may have endured while in their care. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

They did a very good job, my puppy looks so cute. The price was very good for the service I got. I compared prices to other groomers and petco offered more services for less. I got a bath, haircut, nails, teeth brush, deshed and a few more for $70

Tanya is AMAZING and always does an EXCELLENT job! Her geniune care and grooming consistency go above and beyond every time. Overall, the South Elgin Petco grooming staff are wonderful and provide great customer service and care to our dogs.

I usually bring my dogs to another dog groomer and because they had too long of a time frame until my dog can get his grooming done, I decided to try out Petco. They did an awesome job. Better than I had expected. Thank you very much 😊

You salon looks a little cramped in there you might consider expanding the space for them.... I love all the techs you have in service they are all happy and looks to me they love their jobs. I was in and out of there in no time at all. I love the way they welcome walkins. Great job ... Great Service...

They were all very friendly and helpful. I called for the appt, arrived on that day for the appt but they asked me what services I wanted? I said whichever I had already signed up for. Could not use the online appt website, it didn't work.

I always take my dog here and always feel like something didn't go as i wanted to. I paid over $60 and the groomer didn't even touch his ears.
