Huge thanks to Eickmans and Melissa! Food was for a wedding reception and had to be held over for 6 hours. Using crockpots and warming ovens it worked great. Many asked where food was ordered. Will definitely order again.

Hired Eickman's to cater our son's graduation party. Katie was amazing to work with to get our order worked out. Tom made the delivery as scheduled. All of the food was amazing. Everyone attending could not say enough good things about the food. If we ever have need to cater again we will not even consider anyone else. Amazing job!!

Since I wrote this Eickman's responded and said they will compensate us for any products that we were not satisfied with and will investigate all my concerns. The conversation I had with Tim was very reassuring and I believe their quality is very important. Thank you Eickman's and I will change my rating to a 4 for customer service. I will be shopping with them again and feel sure it will be the quality we have come to love about this establishment.Been going to Eickman's for decades and spend about $200 to $300 every time we shop there. Obviously had been very satisfied with their quality up until now. Within the last year the quality of their meat has diminished. Here is just a few examples: Bought ground Italian Sausage it was filled with bone fragments too many to give a count. The package of bacon we got was horrible seemed to be from an old boar or really old hog. The boneless chicken breast we recently got actually tasted like rubber. So sorry to give a bad review on a place we have been happy with for years but needed to let them know that something has happened that does not compliment the quality they have maintained in the past.

Being such a beautiful day and we needed a Christmas ham we thought we'd splurge this year so we drove out to Eickmann's from Belvidere. Along with the ham we picked some sausage for a meat tray and some Braunswieger (German liver sausage), born and raised German, it's a German thing!. At Christmas the Ham was to die for "AWESOME" flavor ,almost nothing left, sausage was almost gone but that was probably because we were waiting for stragglers to show. The Braunswieger on the other hand was the worst tasting sausage I've ever eaten. I made a sandwich one morning (rye with butter and sausage) and I threw the rest out, I can't say what it was but it just didn't taste right, It was like nothing I ever eaten and I grew up eating this stuff, getting it in Chicago and the suburbs. I just know what not to get next time. Otherwise a good experience!!

We are from Chicago and come out to Oregon on weekends. Our river neighbors told us about eichmann's and given what we read in the news about meat processing plants we were game to try. Absolutely the best bacon ,steak and pork chops we have ever had. Restaurant quality. We are now also huge fans of the brats and interesting sausages . Elk and bison sausages are now our favorite gifts for city friends. We will be patronizing eichmann's for all of our meat products going forward and recommending it to our friends. Extremely reasonable prices for the quality. Discovering eichmann's is definitely one of the bright spots of this grim summer. Never been here before. Spent 50 bucks. I had gone to the counter to ask what was in the dog food but the guy gave me a vague answer. Seemed kind of rude. But I guess contry folks don't like people asking questions.

I suggested using Eickman's catering for our 40th high school reunion since my parents had used them many times decades ago. Our classmates were impressed with the meal on every level. Thanks to Melissa for making it so easy and the team for making it tasty! I don't get to Illinois much these days, but if I have a party to plan Eickman's is my choice provider!

They are excellent 👏 👌 I bought a 1/4 side of beef they cut it to order, double wrapped it and helped me load it in my car. I was splitting it with my son and they even helped me divide it into small crates so I could carry it. They were professional and personable.it. Thanks so much!! 100%

I had bought a half a pig from Dietrich farms. Melissa called and ran through the options with me very on point, she knows her stuff, very helpful. One option I did take was to have them cure the pieces of meat that require curing a more natural way. They used celery powder and other ingredients without chemicals. Let me tell you Eickmans know there stuff. The best tasting bacon and ham, yes it took longer but it was well worth it. The pork chops are the best. The way they cut the meat up into was fantastic. Eickmans knows how to process meat, let me tell you. GREAT JOB.

Eickman's is great and has a bunch of good stuff, but I specifically went to get their "famous" bacon. The bacon is good, but just like regular bacon. It is higher quality bacon, but just not the best like I was expecting. If you want some real good bacon with more bang for your buck, get Wright's bacon. Quality bacon and you get a whole lot more than 14 strips for 7 bucks. Wright's bacon is pricy, but you get a lot more strips, and it's yummy!

I love the place friendly people. I have been ordering on and off for about 10 years. You can even shop in the showroom. All of the meat is excellent. Gentlemen's contract you don't need to prepay. I prefer to prepay because we all know life happens. You can also walk in an get 1/8 of a cow as a sampler. If you don't have deep freezer(s) this might be the best option for you. I prefer getting 1/2 a cow and this will last me a year.

We have been using Eickmans for 12 years for processing hogs, beef and lambs and they do an amazing job! We have used many different processors over the years and you will not find a better processor than Eickmans! Bacon and hams are amazing and cutting and wrapping is top notch. Great customer service too, happy to support this wonderful family and local business.

Really disappointed. Saw the commercial about brats. Being from Wisconsin, I was looking for that perfect one close to my home. Drove from Rockford. Made them tonight. Really dry! We have 2 more packs of different flavors, hopefully they will be better! Good luck!

Eickmans is terrific. We love them so much that we get pigs ears shipped to us in NYC. Their catering is top notch. Great food, great service, and very affordable. I can’t imagine anyone giving them a negative review. Well worth it to support a small business! We love Eickmans!

Just had some beef processed here. The people were extremely friendly and helpful. They walked me through what cuts I wanted and made everything very easy. Prices were fair and they worked quickly. My only real regret is that they aren't a little closer to home, but I will definitely be back the next time I need some beef.

We typically get 1/2 of 1/2 every year. Until this year everything has been fine. I picked up order yesterday and after waiting 5 min for the person to ring me up, I had to wait another 20 min before the meat was actually brought out to the truck. I got home and started putting the meat in the freezer but started noticed cuts that I never ordered before. I decided to unload the freezer and start checking the packages against the cut sheet. I soon realized that I had gotten the wrong order.I called Eickman's and the guy checked / verified that I had gotten 2 baskets correctly and 1 basket that was wrong. He explained how the mixup occurred since they were all from the same cow. Needless to say I had to put everything back in the truck and drive to Eickman's. Got back and we went through the cut sheet and checked off the packages as I put them into my baskets. It turned my 1 hr job into a 3 hr run around. I understand that mistakes can happen but I guess I was looking for something more for the inconvenience (time and fuel) than a "hey sorry". It seems like the customer service has slipped.....

Eickman's meat is great! I always know that when a local restaurant like Octane stocks their meats, that I should order it off the menu. It's fresh and flavorful, and knowing the owners are local and ethical makes us feel good about the choice of what we are putting in our bodies!

Believe it or not I heard about Eickmans from a friend in Alaska, a friend of his lives in Woodstock il told him about it. My wife and I live in Machesney Park and we never knew about this fine establishment. First visit was this morning and was very impressed with the cleanliness and selection. When we got home I cooked some pork sausage up and it was fantastic, and I'm sure that everything we purchased will go above and beyond any other product out there. Opened 3 packages of what packaging said were ribeyes.. 1 pack was a sirloin and the other 2 look to be doubled up strip steak. I can understand 1 mislabled but all 3. Then i opened the so called t bone, looked more like a 7 since the one side was cut off. But at least the burger has been good

People running the place behind the desk need to get on the same page. Took 4 phone calls on the pig should be cut.. maybe start using computers and passing info on to other people.. the meat is cut good and wrapped nice.

Staff was not friendly at all! They do have a verity of meats ,but its all frozen. I was gonna buy a half of beef there but I will find somewhere else!

Just left , for last time. Went to purchase 1/2 hog , and asked what was included , and clerk or I should say JERK, behind counter was very very rude, All he said was it includes 1/2 of a hog, 1/2 of what a whole hog has , felt like I was really bothering him. I had already paid for my purchase , but never again.
