Jessica in Hoffman Estates Petco is one of the best groomers I have ever had. She is not only professional but super friendly, knowledgeable, and so good with my dog. I highly recommend her. Actually, the whole grooming team there is amazing.

My experience was a complete letdown. Despite us being promised a simple and quick service for my dog’s cut, I was called without a 15 minute notice (as promised) to be informed that the stylist was “unable to finish the haircut” due to attempts of my dog biting the stylist. Upon showing up, the stylist changed her story and said that my dog was actually trying to gnaw on the grooming tools, and that because of this, he was banned from coming back. This grooming location must take a handful of dogs per day—and I’ll just add that I’ve seen a lot more scarier looking dogs than my little Tibetan spaniel (who is not violent at all). All that to say that my tiny and happy little dog couldn’t be the only dog that thought to try to gnaw on the tools….after all, he is a dog. I have difficulty believing that for every other dog that does this, they all get banned. Schaumburg Petco Grooming must be banning a lot of clientele, if that’s the case. I’ll be the first to admit if my dog is or has violent tendencies because I am not the sort of pet owner to view my pets as perfect—but my dog is the least violent dog one could ever meet. I have difficulty believing he was so ‘big and mean and dangerous’ when he has NEVER had a problem at other grooming locations.My second issue with the service was that there was basically nothing but a nice bath given to my dog. He wasn’t even completely dry when handed back. The stylist practically fished for words to describe the work that she did on him in the two+ hours that we waited for my dog—because honestly, upon looking at the dog, there was basically nothing visibly done.After waiting for a mediocre blowout, unfinished (and barely begun) haircut, and getting banned, the stylist didn’t walk through the updated total price, and instead handed us a folded piece of paper to look at on our own. It was probably in her best interest that she did this, because had I seen that she only took off $5 from the total price of $100, I would have spoken up.I was willing to pay $100 for the bath (shampoo and conditioning), blowout, full haircut and nail trimming. If she couldn’t complete the full service that I was paying $100 for, then she should have been more honest about the total price that I as the customer was to pay. The joke of a service that me and my dog received was far from $94—which in the end cost me $100 anyway as I was gracious enough to still tip.In the end, I payed $100 for a bath, mediocre blowout, an incomplete haircut that she barely even started. I do hope that this wasn’t some of her best work, because that would mean she’s just ripping a bunch of customers off. Additionally, I hope that this experience was at least fulfilling for her—the person who gloated about getting to go home early as soon as she finished all of her dog appointments….hopefully my dog’s unfinished service was of use for her.WILL NOT be recommending this location to any of my dog owner friends. What a joke.

Thanks to Phthalo for a great clean up on my puppy! I guess she is new to the Petco grooming here but I’d book her again for sure. Talked me through what I wanted and what realistic expectations are for a puppy. FYI - if you are coming here for the first time with a new puppy they may not be able to do a full cut.

Our dog really needed a hair cut and Taffy looked great after her “spa” day!The other thing that was great was the cashier. He told my husband that we had reword points that were expiring. The app is on my phone so they called me and walked me through the redeeming process.

Kaitlyn was great, Stella looks great. It was our first time there and we are very happy. I felt comfortable to leave my baby with Kaitlyn, she made a great impression on me and you can tell she loves dogs the way she was with Stella.

I've been using Petco Grooming in Schaumburg for more than 3 years now and I highly recommend them! I bring my dog to Jessica; she listens to exactly what my 10-year-old CKCS needs and any concerns I have. I'm very picky about how my Buffy's paws are trimmed and Jessica does exactly what I ask every time. She's also the only groomer who's ever been able to put bows on Buffy's ears that stayed in for weeks! I've used Ashley when Jessica wasn't available. She did a great job, too! They are very accommodating about scheduling and everyone in the grooming department is very friendly. Even though I moved out of Schaumburg, I still come back to this Petco location for grooming. Either Jessica or Ashley will do a fantastic job for you!

Jessica is so wonderful with my dog that she loves to go and get her nails trimmed. What dog do you know is so anxious to have Jessica cut her nails that she whines and cries as soon as she gets in the store. In addition all the rest of the staff is so kind I want to commend them for their willingness to be helpful.

Lexi did such an amazing job on my dog cookie she made her comfortable the moment I stepped in , she had been traumatized from past groomers and when I picked her up she was so happy ! I showed her a picture of how I wanted my dogs hair cut and she did exactly like the picture ! I highly recommend her she was so sweet as well Thankyou Lexi :)

Just got home after taking our Goldendoodle here for her first full grooming session (she is 7 months old). Salma did such a great job and was very attentive to our requests. Our Goldendoodle looks so cute right now and they did a great job on everything. She is super clean, smells good, and most importantly is happy! Great customer service and super friendly staff. Will definitely be coming back here for all our grooming needs.

Jessica treats my Rockit like her own dog. As soon as we come in she asks for an update on how he's doing and if there's anything new she has to consider for the grooming. She's just so great with him and he absolutely loves her. Cut is perfect every time.

Katlin is a fantastic groomer. Brodie looks amazing after her grooming magic. He is onto us when we pull up but once we get into the back room he stands with paws on the counter searching for Katlin. Everyone was super nice, it was a nice calm experience not like most dog grooming places. (Usually there’s dogs barking like crazy & it’s very hectic). I absolutely loved the haircut ! One of the best yet!
