Earlier this year I adopted three spaghetti beavers here and since then have been a regular customer. The entire team here is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They all just seem to enjoy what they do, and in turn this has made being a frequent customer a very pleasant experience.

Worst experience I’ve had with Schaumburg location. I had an appointment at 8 AM for grooming, I was running a bit late so I called the store to let them know and ask if it was ok if I was 10 minutes late. Melissa I believe her name was said it would be okay as long as it’s not over 15 min, I said perfect, no problem. I showed up at 8:10, the groomer was already at the door and rudely said I can’t take your dog, “I don’t have time anymore. I have another dog after yours so I can’t take him. You knew you had an appointment and needed to be here on time, it’s on you.” I understand I was a bit late for my appointment and there’s a schedule that needs to be followed but why not tell me that over the phone when I called at 7:55? Made me waste my time driving over and on top of that you’re being rude to me for being late 10 min.

Love they variety and openess of the stores. Each has a different variety of items and services, so check in advance. They are pet friendly, so be advised there will be dogs on leash in the store. It's definitely a one stop shop for your pets needs.

The team at this Petco location is fabulous; it is obvious that they love animals and really enjoy helping customers - two and four legged - find what they are looking for! I have been working with their grooming department for years and Jessica and her associates are so great...the are professional, kind and very talented. The dogs love seeing them and we look forward to our monthly grooming appointment! Love this Petco store!

I've been a loyal Petco customer at your Schaumburg location for many years now and I've thoroughly enjoyed shopping there for my pets' necessities. I wish to use this feedback to compliment a store staff whose name is Terry. I cannot say enough good things about him. When he sees me coming to the store, he opens the door (I've mobility issue) and warmly welcomes me. He cheers me on all days when I come to the store. He introduces me to new products in the store and reminds me of ongoing sales promotions. He is very professional in his demeanor. Petco continues to be my store of choice because of employees like Terry. Please share with him this feedback to let him know that his work is being noticed and is very much appreciated. Thank you.

I brought my 1 year old dog here for a face, feet, and fanny groom + bath and then was told that he was not welcome back here again because he wasn’t nice to the groomer, Lexi. She stated my dog needed to be medicated and needed to go to a vet groomer who can better handle his behavior. She couldn’t even give me a place to go to. I did reach out to the vet who said it was up to me if I wanted him on medication but said it was likely the groomer’s behavior that made him act out. I also had a hard time finding “vet groomers” in the area since I’m sure vets have much more important needs to care for than grooming. I brought him to a different groomer a few days later who fixed up what Lexi neglected to do (who also charged me full price) and she didn’t think my dog needed to be on medication at all. She was very patient and provided him a very calming environment and said she would like to groom him again. I only went to Petco because they had the availability and they likely had availability because they ban dogs who they can’t handle. I’ve never seen my dog so sad after I picked him up from his grooming at Petco. It also took me awhile to check out because the cashier wouldn’t acknowledge me at the counter. I will not be back here again with any of my dogs. I would much rather support a small business and get my pets’ needs elsewhere than a place with employees who aren’t compassionate and incompetent. I’ve been to 2 other groomers since this incident and neither of them thought my dog needed to be medicated at all.

all these girls here are beyond helpful .. know what they are doing and are awesome at their jobs. i had a awful experience at the bloomingdale store.. called them .. they said big my dog over .. and got done what needed to be done .. no whining like staff at bloomingdale and most definitely not afraid of a 109 lb black lab who so loving..thank you for all you do.. hes never going anywhere else for grooming..this is his second time there and both have been awesome experiences.. they are friendly and very good with dogs that have some anxiety about being at the groomer..thank u guys !!! u r the best

The young lady who took my call when I arrived at the store curbside for pickup was great. She was very friendly and said she would be right out with my order, and she was out in less than a minute. It was a great experience.

Got a grooming ban because I wasn't happy they cut my dogs paws while grooming and charged me extra for an essentials package I didn't ask for. They first make you pay then they told me afterwards they cut my dog's paws and offered bandaids and ointment. It would've been nice if they notified me before payment so I could've tipped according to the poor service they provided. I actually didn't complain the time they cut my dog's paw but after the 4th time they overcharged me for a essentials package I requested not to be included. I told them it has happened multiple times and I just wanted the basic grooming package. I notified their staff about my poor experiences and they were commodating and offered a free grooming service one time. The next time i tried to book an appointment for grooming, they said im not allowed because I let them aware about my dissatisfaction one time. Petco was just in a convenient location. I went to Petsmart off of Barrington Rd and they did a better job the first time around than any of the times I took my dog for grooming at Petco. The staff at Petsmart was even friendlier so Im glad not allowed to come back to petco for grooming anymore so I could find a better place anyways.

Amanda is a horrible trainer. She will tell you to for WEEKS to work with your dog in one manner, only to tell you later that you never should have. She has no idea on how to be professional with the owners either. She doesn't know what she's doing - save your money and get training somewhere else.

I always have an amazing experience here! The staff is so helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond and make you feel so comfortable and welcomed. I didn’t catch his name but a nice young man even helped me carry my litter to the car today! I’ll drive out of my way to shop here every time!

On 7/16/2023 at 2pm she did not accept my rabies document my dog was born on December 2022 from Iowa, and he got shot with brand name Nobivac 1-DAPPv on January 27,2023. And this document was accepted by Petsmart dog classes in March 2023. And why did you refuse to cut it shorter? What is the sense having your cut size choices on your desk if you don’t let us choose what we want. I wasted my time that day.

This is my experience with petco which is at this address .I had the appointment at 3:00 pm sunday on 11/5/2023.and I was told that at 6:00 pm. the Store gonna close so they gonna call me 20 minutes earlier to take the dog. It was 5:45 pm no one called so I went over there to see what was going on. My dog ​​was still on the grooming table. So I decided to start seeing what things they had in the store to buy for my dog. After a time a person comes out from the grooming room and she say my dog ​​is ready but it's a small accident....they cut his tongue because my dog ​​saw me at the window and pulled his head, and it's my fault what happened! I said that until I pay, write on the invoice what happened so that I have proof, what happened at Petco with my dog .If there will be something serious with my dog's tongue they going to be responsible for the bill . The manager (the person in question said that she is the manager, she said to me leave right now from here I don’t even want to see you don't pay anything today but leave right now I don’t want to see you! So this is how the customer should be treated??? I am posting this so that everyone is aware of what is happening here.Now I came here for the first time but I don't ever come back ! i’m going back to PetSmart. And now I’m just pray and hope my dog going to be OK.

Great interaction and experienced a positive energy level around the associate . He was courteous, knowledgeable and seemed very passionate about his job . I was in and out like a breeze. His was able to help 3 customers at the same time while making sure all of us were comfortable and had his undivided attention. Awesome !!

This is the worst place after I had scheduled a grooming appt way in advance before the holidays and 1 day before appt they called to cancel it & just giving excuses and was left with no time to schedule with a groomer.

So tonight, we were “that” customer and showed up with two minutes left until closing. We were in an emergency and the two ladies saved the day. There is no way that our two new and very rare animals would have had a good meal tonight. We also got cute shirts for the dogs because why not right? Thanks to them and their overwhelming kindness our two little friends are off to a great start after having an eventful day. We are beyond thankful and sincerely apologetic for keeping the store open a few minutes longer. We know it was inconvenient to their personal lives but are SO thankful for them. You’re amazing people!!!

The dog 🐕 Gracie, took Momma squirrel 🐿️ and I to Petco. Gracie had a great time, walked around smelled all the food, and made a new 🐶 friend.I won't lie, price seamed a bit high. The staff was friendly and they had some specialty pet items.

Not happy with how we were treated here today. We got a few cans of wet puppy food, an easy Walker for one of our older dogs, and a fish and set up ($130). The whole time one of the male workers just kept coming up to us asking if we need something. Made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. As well as immediately after the announcement the store was closing soon; he again came up to us and said the store is closing. Just rude and we will go to pet land from now on when we take the dogs for a walk for supplies and make the drive to pet supplies plus in streamwood otherwise.

Brought my Great Pyrenees in for the first time. They told me over 5 hours bc it was a big job, then they called me 3 hours in and said they couldn’t do anymore. When I went to pick him up he had a huge white gash on the top of his nose. I’m not sure what they have going on back there, but I don’t feel like my dog was cared for or even given the time to complete the job.

The staff is amazing, and very welcoming. 5 stars for them!!However I am very disappointed that Petco does not Groom pets on medication. Denying care is unacceptable. I pay monthly and to not be able to use the Grooming options I find pointless. I will stop paying and take my Money else where.

Teach your cashiers NOT to ignore customers!ONE cashier was open on Saturday afternoon, ashier was helping a customer who forgot an item or a price and was running to the back of the store. The customer was gone for sometime now. The cashier was just standing there and I had one $11 bully stick in my hand , she should have taken me in instead of starting at me and not saying a word. The client came back and to they were still doing something, she was checking her items out. I was just standing there, no one ever sayd anything to me. The second cashier opens up, oh, no, he didn't take me....he took a brand new customer that just walked in, and then the one after her....still stuck at cashier #1 and I was next...no one ever said anything to me. I left the items and left. Horrible

I brought my Australian Shepherd in for the 1st time grooming. Kirsten did a great job with trimming her up and brushing her out. I always get nervous that a groomer will take too much hair off my shepherd and she won't look like a Aussie anymore. I was very happy with the final results, that I even booked her next appointment.
