Getting an appointment was definitely worth a wait. Jamie was the only groomer until recently. We are exceptionally fond of our little Yorkie and her care is very important to us. We were met by Jamie who has since, not only remembered our pup, but knew of our special requests for her unique needs. The Pet Lodge is clean, professional and authentically caring. It's the best groomer we have ever been to and cannot recommend it highly enough.

The employees who work here are all amazing! They took amazing care of my Bully after the Arlington Heights police found my dog outside lost and wandering far away from home, as my Husband and I live in Chicago. I greatly appreciate the good nature of the police officers to take the time to bring my dog to such an upscale pet lodge and grooming facility. As we were leaving, I can tell the employees genuinely love animals as my dog gave one of the employees a big kiss and a thank you for taking care of him while they looked for us. From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you all for caring so much and for making my dream of being reunited with my dog one day, reality.

I took my 4.5 month Goldendoodle for her first grooming. She looked fantastic. The only disappointment was the wait. I dropped her off at 9am, called on her at 1 & was told she was still not done. I did not pick her up until after 3. Too long for a puppy, I would not have gone there if I knew it would be that long

Second time bringing out cat here for grooming. First time his nails were cut to 0, to the point where most of them were bleeding!Second time they cut his skin off and didn’t even bother to inform me about this! I noticed this a couple hours later when I got home!(see picture)Ridiculously irresponsible !

The facility is huge and very well kept. The kennels are spacious and clean and the kennel staff are very friendly and take great care of the pets in their care.There are private rooms for grooming so each pet gets the individual attention and stress free groom they deserve and they come out looking and feeling their best. Prices are very reasonable and the groomers are also very friendly and take pride in their work.There is also a hospital located next door to the pet lodge and they offer 24 hour emergency services, thankfully I haven't had to use this service for my pets but it is nice to know it is there if I ever need it

I originally gave this place 5 stars, because the service used to be good. Unfortunately, the service has really diminished and the prices haven't. We recently boarded our dogs there, and our experience has made me change this review. We left over the weekend and the office is closed Sunday. So if you board over the weekend, you can't pick them up until Monday. Our one dog was bathed as we asked, and we didn't ask for grooming for our other dog because he had been groomed before we dropped him off. When we picked up our dogs today, the bathed one was still wet as if they had just finished bathing him, giving me a wet dog to put in my car. Our originally groomed dog came out all wet as if they tried to wipe him down, but he smelled terrible. Our car therefore had two wet dogs in it, one clean and the other disgusting. Our whole car now smells. Our dog smelled as if he had lived in his own filth for the weekend. We had to drop him off at our other groomer (we stopped grooming here because they butchered two hair cuts and charged us a lot of money for it!)

Haven't been able to board in a while (Covid), but I did over this past weekend. Still love the place!!! Staff was very friendly and my dogs were happy when I picked them up!! Should I need boarding again, I'll be back!Thanks Golf Rose!!I have been boarding my dogs here for years, Love the staff, they always know who I am and know my dogs names too. The kennels are so clean. I like that they have a hospital right behind the kennel and now Golf Rose opened a pet store right next door (it really came in handy when I dropped the dogs off the other day and forgot their treats).

I am very disappointed in the service. My dog was sick for a few days in the place and they only told me it is a cold and now the battle with a strong throat infection will pass. I would never leave him in this again. place, not to mention that we paid for a grooming service and when we picked him up he was super wet

Had to leave out of town for an emergency and decided to board my two dogs at this beautiful facility. The ladies in the front were very pleasant and informative. I received a tour of the facility and felt comfortable with my dogs staying there. When the staff came up to take my dogs back to their kennels, they were very friendly and attentive to them. When I picked them up after their stay, my dogs were clean and happy (although they tried to follow the staff back to the kennel area). I would board at Golf Rose again and would highly recommend this Pet Lodge.

Not sure why theres negative reviews, because this place is simply fantastic. We take our dog here for both grooming and boarding and have been doing so for over 3 years and couldn’t be happier. They gave us a tour, told us how they take care of the dogs, and are dog is always happy and in great spirits upon our return. The staff are also super nice and responds to all of our questions (if any) very quickly.Also, the Golf Rose Vet is right next store in case there was an emergency, and having this type of care is so comforting when traveling out of town.I never write reviews, but after reading what others have posted, I have to correct these statements as you can tell these people are emotional for irrational reasons (of which some seem totally made up).Again, amazing place with amazing staff. 5 Stars+

Took my dog in with congestive heart failure. Seemed like a good spot as they are next to their emergency vet hospital. My dog came back fully shaved with no explanation from the groomer about matting or anything. At my normal place, PetSmart, the groomer would share what happened and why. Was a buzz cut, including her tail necessary? I will never know as there weren’t even any notes written down like they do with PetSmart.I am not happly with the the haircut nor am I happy with the service received. I asked her about what I thought was a nail issue, she said it looked fine. I understand she’s not a vet but I would’ve thought she would have some level of knowledge on the subject. if she were unsure, I would’ve preferred she said no. I took her to the vet and turns out it was an infection.The last bizarre, and to be honest traumatizing thing was the return of my dog. Some random girl, not even my groomer, brought my dog back coughing very hard due to her leash. She coughs a lot from congestive heart failure. Then she handed me the leash, didn’t say a word, and left.This place is beautiful but all staff I encountered unfortunately missed the mark. As much as I don’t like the idea of Big Box stores, it’s important to remember you are speaking to a person and a human is performing the haircut. They have all been nice and every haircut I’ve had there has been of higher quality. I would’ve liked to continue taking her to PetSmart but they stated due to her advanced level of heart failure, it was deemed too high of a risk for them.Unfortunate.

We take our two blind dogs here for boarding whenever we go out of town. They are always well cared for at Golf Rose Pet Lodge. I do wish that being taken outside was part of the standard boarding package. Our two dogs are very old and sleep most of the time so it’s perfect for us.

The pet lodge is location on a animal care campus which includes a hospital and pet store. It is a beautiful lay-out. The price is reasonable and the accommodations seem good. Unfortunately, we weren't able to see the exact kennel our dog was housed in and the playing area.

I don't use a doggie hotel often. I wouldn't use anyone else than Golf Rose pet lodge. They are fast checking you in, fast checking you out. The staff is great and friendly. My baby girl border collie Missy stayed for seven days, came back feeling great. She doesn't do well with grooming without my presence, however the pet lodge was concerned that Missy would go home smelling like the kennel so they gave her a bath. I found that caring.Thank you Golf Rose Pet lodge :)

My 90yr old father delivered his 14 yr old dog here today to get groomed, she sat there for 6 hours untouched, most likely unfed, until they started her grooming a hour before closing tonight. Breaks my heart that she was treated this way, caged, and not once notified that she would be there this long!! He called twice to inquire and was told at 4:30 they just started 😂

Was hesitant to board our dogs as we have never had to leave any dog we have ever owned in boarding, they always came with us. When medical issues arose, we had no choice. I toured the facility unannounced and was pleased to see how clean and spacious the area was that the dogs would be in. The dogs could board together, large dogs and kennels were large enough for both to be comfortable. I would have given it 5 stars except the first time we had to place them there when I picked them up the older one was constipated (he will not go inside) and younger one smelled of urine (was a puppy). I did not realize and no one mentioned that for a few dollars more, the dogs could go outside and play for 20 minutes - I bought 2 playtime slots a day for each. They were so much more relaxed the second time that we did not feel bad leaving them the third time. I may not have returned with them the second time, but because we were here from out of state and time was limited to find another place we decided to give it another chance – glad that we did. Staff was attentive and always happy to take my calls to check on the two. Now knowing of the play time, I would not hesitate to place them here again if needed. Hope they do not have to be boarded, but if they do I do trust that they are cared for at this pet lodge.

Excellent in all ways but disappointed that even though i listed how i wanted my dog groomed, instead of leaving fur on his legs long all the fur was cut short. Not a big thing but not what i wanted. Other wise excellent experience. Highly recommend this facility!

Do not think your animal will be well care for here. The manager Amy, of Golf Rose Boarding, is just about the rudest women and most heartless person you would ever come across. She is OBVIOUSLY a very unhappy person as she is terrible to her staff and clients. After I left from picking-up my beloved dog, I had to call to clarify who she was. She spoke to me, and then to her staff, as though she was a drill sergeant. To boot, an elder stray dog was being brought in by a municipal employee, and she actually rolled her eyes at the pooch - like it was something that should be thrown-away. Her tension and disregard towards the animals and to me was too much. Amy should not be working in customer service or with animals. When pet owners have no choice other than to board their animals, it is important to feel as though the people caring for them are considerate and gentle to them. With a manager like this, I can only imagine what she would allow to happen to the animals. From what I coukd see, she was belittling to staff and could absolutely care less that she upset me. My dog went to boarding at Golf Rose with a special organic grain-free diet we have custom made for our dog who has terrible allergies. When I requested the remaining food from her stay, Amy told me there was none left. I questioned this and said that we provided an abundance of food when we dropped her off 3 days ago. She huffed at me and sent staff to go check, but muttered “I know there isn’t any.” I waited over 1/2 hour for them to check while Amy helped others at the front desk. This was when I witnessed how pervasively rude she is, across the board, mean and abrupt. Amy asked me why I did not properly label the food, as if this was my doing. !?! Omg-really! I then started wondering if my dog was feed her special diet during her stay. My poor dog had no allergy free food for several days until another blend could be made. She is now suffering from hair loss and excessive itching, back to square one!!!! I have reached out to the owner of the facility, who also owns the animal hospital, and he never returned my call. Big surprise! Avoid this place at all cost if you care about your pets!

Incredibly disappointed in the care that our cat experienced during his last two visits here. We have been using Golf Rose exclusively for boarding services over the past year, but will not be returning. After bringing him home from the past two stays, he has had fecal matter, matted hair from urine and litter, and upset stomach issues. The first time this occurred we excused it as anxiety when they were bringing him out; however, it’s clear after the second time this has happened that is not a pet issue, but rather a care issue.The matted hair, obvious urine stench, and litter in his hair should be clear signs to a boarding agency that attention is required. We were never alerted to these issues, nor did the staff care enough to clean up our cat before returning him to us.Maybe the service differs for dogs, but I’d caution anyone from using this service.
