Bought a cute lamp from the store. Tested it out at the store and it seems to be not working. But still wanted to give it a try with a different bulb. Took it to the counter and checked it out— out of my expectations, the cashier changed the price tag at the time of checking out. She said the price was too cheap, and they “want to make sure to get enough money from it.” When she checked in with the manager in the back, she also said that “someone might have changed the price tag.” Feeling offended when I heard this, after paying, I explained to the cashier that, “just to clarify, I didn’t change the price tag. I thought it’s cheap maybe because it didn’t work?” The cashier then…. Took the price tag off and wrote “no tag” instead on the receipt. She asked me, “how about this? I wrote a ‘no tag’ on your receipt.” I honestly don’t know what it means to make a “no tag” mark do in this case, I just think that she should not change the price label labeled by themselves, assumed that customers changed the tag without evidence, and make irrelevant and untruthful changes to the receipt. In 2024, Champaign Goodwill turned into a store of bad judgment.

Prices are getting up there. Clothes are more expensive than Walmart clearance. Has good household items. And always craft stuff. Just need to look throughout the whole household section. I bought 4 signs for my wreaths or $1 each.

It is almost impossible to go there and not buying anything. Nice items with nice prices. They have almost everything. This time I went there to buy baby clothes. Found everything I was looking for.

A fairly large thrift store, where you can find some gems if you don't mind looking through everything. It's in an old bookstore so it has a slightly different vibe than the other Goodwill in Champaign. I don't often find anything SUPER amazing or unique, but it's very useful if you are just trying to build out your closet inexpensively.

Lots of overpriced junk. Someone who said her name was Tonie England was extremely rude and aggressive. They don't offer returns, but under Illinois Deceptive practices they are often misrepresenting the condition of items and are liable. They obviously aren't checking anything before slapping a price sticker on it and putting it out.

Manager went out of her way to make sure I had a dress for Halloween. Don’t like Goodwill much as a company because of certain business practices but the employees here did something really nice for me, when they didn’t have to. 🖤

Not impressed for "men's" clothes. Very small selection and prices are higher than other thrift stores.Little organization and mixing of sizes in the racks and mixing of children's clothes with adult clothes means that you need to look all over the store and through every rack to find anything that you might want, like a finding a needle in a field of haystacks.

This is one of the best Goodwill's I've ever visited with a nice and organized selection. However, if you misplaced a receipt to pick up furniture the associate helping us was very rude and condesending definitely need to work on their customer service skills as it currently doesn't represent goodwill in a positive light.

This place is only slightly better than the one in Champaign. Everything is overpriced, clothing is disorganized and all stretched out. If you want anything that’s even wearable you have to go to the boutique section which will cost you more than the item is worth new.Employees are far and few between. Instead of making announcements over the loud system they just scream across the store at each other. Very unprofessional, just a hot mess.The management is far and few between as well.Just another nasty rundown corporate excuse of a thrift store. I just wanna go salt and light and actually get pleasant employees and a wonderful shopping experience.

This isn't an overall review of Goodwill Industries, just a specific Goodwill store in Savoy, IL. Their staff are great, very helpful, focused, and responsive. The store is well laid out and roomy, very well maintained. The other staff in the back rooms are also very helpful, overall I find their staff to be of great help to customers.Regarding the merchandise, the worst quality I've seen there is actually decent but sometimes worn, but not to the point of unusable. Mostly the quality is gently used to moderately used. There are enough items there that appear never to have been used to make it always worth coming in. The boutique items are my favorite because they look to me like they have little or no wear. I've found some really nice items to purchase from there, as well as from the entire store.

The guy at the donation door was very rude. He told me he didn’t have time to check my donations for cleanliness. He also told me they don’t accept camping chairs which I know is totally wrong because I’ve seen them in the store and have donated them before. He also would not tell me his name and had no name tag so that I could report him. I will never donate here again, as this is the third time in 3 months that donation people have been out of line with me.

I have always loved Goodwill but their prices have gotten completely out of control. Today I saw multiple items that were priced higher than they are brand new. I am sure labor cost and building rent and utilities are up but their merchandise is donated. This is ultimately going to cost them business. It breaks my heart to see this happen.

Very nice, clean store, very kind staff, but prices are much too high for a Goodwill (I'm not spending $35 on a dress someone else has worn) and the clothing is not hung according to size. They have size markers on the racks, but the clothes aren't in the correct places. And the inventory is enormous, so be prepared to spend a ton of time rooting through all the clothing just to find appropriate sizes.

Always hit or miss of course, but that's part of the entertainment value. Surprised at some of the new stuff they sell here mixed in with the used. Some of the older men's clothing is much better quality than you usually see today. Store is clean and we'll organized, but I often find women's clothing mixed in with the men's.

Inside is great with wonderful employees and merchandise. However, the guy working the donations was very upset and aggressive. He spit very angerly at our car when we were getting our donations and was very very mad. He also cussed under his breath the entire time while shaking his head. Hopefully they resolve this issue.

Bathroom was absolutely disgusting, you would think it would be kept clean especially during pandemic. They did not have anyone at counter to check people out. Very disappointed as we have less money to spend.. I would hope stores would step it up!

Since this is a newer location, it's fairly nice compared to many other goodwill's I've been to. The selection tends to be decent, but quite sparse depending on the category. Labeling of prices has been hit or miss in the toys, but the staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

Very rude back staff. Like to imply whatever is wrong with the clothing was done by the customer. Was trying to buy a diaper bag, got to a register and noticed some of the teeth were missing in the zipper and would not zip. The cashier says "maybe they can give us a discount because of it being broken." It was a 4.99 bag!!! That's all!!! Then, 4 people from the back come up and one person in particular, Kianna Adkisson implied that we broke the bag on purpose to get a discount on a 4.99 bag. As well as being rude to the cashier. Then, being funny, when we asked for the number to corporate, she gave us the number to a non existent line. Who knows if she even gave us the correct name. This happened at the goodwill in Champaign at the Savoy Goodwill.

I had stopped shopping here due to an incident last year. Thought I would give it another try. Never going there again. I went to buy something priced $2.99. Gave it to the cashier and the price tag vanished. Then they tried to charge me $4.99. I can buy this stuff new for less. They tried to say it was named brand. Lol ok. Not going to be ripped off at a goodwill for a used item.

This is the nicest looking Goodwill I've ever been to. Everything is well-displayed and boutique-like. However, this is also the most expensive Goodwill I've ever been to. I saw a college-ruled notebook for $1.99, a cassette player for $40, and a new coat for $300! Those are not prices I'm comfortable spending on mostly used items. I will say that the one advantage to such high prices is that you can find quite a few quality items and brands here, that would have probably been taken immediately at cheaper Goodwill stores. So if you're willing to spend more than you're used to at a thrift store, you'll be rewarded with a greater variety of nice brands.

Very bad unfortunately had paid for a loveseat at this location and supposively this gentleman who was Store Mgr. we were told went to put a sold sign on this item ok fine. However what he didnt tell us was this that we had two days to pick it up. My friend even told him that we couldnt be there till the following Sunday. I was there with her I know what was stated. Ive worked multiple retail jobs. And U totally understand theres only limited space in ones store. However this is totally unacceptsble.. This is an example of bad customer service.

It's a nice place to pick up used items. The venue provides a lot of space for a lot of potential treasures. Cleaner/Nicer than most similar stores.

Goodwill is beginning to get a bit pricey. They had candles (albeit unused) for $1 which is the same price at dollar tree for brand new unused candles that haven't been in someone's house (with potentially questionable cleaning habits). I also question their choice of botique items as I found similar items in different locations (same name brand/size/quality).
