I had a terrible experience at the Emergency clinic in Rockford, IL and decided to bring my very sick puppy here the next day to get a second opinion on if he was going to make it. Dr Becker was absolutely amazing and very detailed on what was going on with him. I cannot thank her and her team enough for everything they did for our puppy. Even though he is not in the clear yet he has been eating and playing again and I owe that all to them!

Disclosure: My grandpa used to own this place and I'm a veterinarian from IA. I had a negative experience with this business. While visiting family in Sandwich, my old dog's health declined and I sought a humane endpoint for her, and I contacted Sandwich Veterinary Hospital (I'm not licensed in IL so I dont carry any vet drugs). I called on a Friday afternoon, asking about a Saturday appointment for this service. I was turned away in time of need and went to a more compassionate animal health provider in Sycamore, IL. My dog's end of life experience ended up being painless, comfortable, and PRIORITIZED there.

The staff is absolutely wonderful. We adopted our most recent dog, Ryker, and he had heart worm, and through his whole treatment with overnights, multiple visits, etc; they remembered him and loved him as if he were their own. I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else but here. They love your pet as their own and have the most wonderful staff.

They love my animals as much as I do. when we put our Bella down there kindness was so wonderful. We just adopted a dog from a shelter first thing I did was call to take Cooper in to see them, the kindness continued.

Can’t say enough good things about this vet hospital! My cat is a bit of a nervous little lady and they do all of the things to make her feel as comfortable as she can be. Also pricing is reasonable and affordable which is a huge plus due to I am in a limited income. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my little furr beast Maya.

Dr. Banigan and staff provided excellent care for our dog! Our little one suddenly lost the ability to move her legs one morning, and Sandwich Vet Hospital was able to accomodate us with a same day appointment, and we were ever so grateful! Dr. Banigan is amazing - very friendly, thorough, and compassionate, you can tell that she truly loves what she does! All of the staff are very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend!

Caring & passionate staff and vets. They have given our senior dogs the very best care. They have helped our dog with congestive heart failure live with quality. We also have another senior dog with lymphoma throughout her body. They have been so gentle and understanding with her. Again helping us to give her quality time for as long as she has. I can't say enough good things about the care our dogs are receiving.

Dr Becker was very thorough, kind and comfortable to be with. A bright young veterinarian the practice is sore to be glad to have. The reception workers also very kind, smiling and helpful. Took my baby black lab in for nail trim & tubby tues. They did a fabulous job. He looked great & smell good. He had the cutiest holiday scarf. Sooo cute. They are the best!!

Always been good with my Dogs. when my Rottweiler had a mystory mass on his leg they did everything they could for him and ended up sending us to a specialist. he had cancer and they made sure he was comftable to the end. and check in on me after he passed. i know have a crazy Newfoundland puppy and they are so good about his size and with him still learning manners. I’m so glad i decited to try them out many years ago. and i always recommend them. Dr st. John is amazing!!!

This was the first time I have ever boarded my dog and her stay was great. The staff gave me updates on her stay everytime I called to check up on her. It was comforting to know that she was being well cared for. It was awesome to see how happy she was when I picked her up! I will definitely feel at ease boarding my dog with Sandwich Veterinary Hospital again!

They have new people there, and are so rude. Threatening to take our pets away. Because our payment was late. They tried to use our card to pay without asking. Very sketchy. I do not trust these new girls there. I would NOT recommend this place. They also abused our dog a while back. Kept her on a leach outside and hurt her. She was never the same after that. Too expensive also. Didn't even do the full treatment either. Did not cut nails or bath. Horrible place, find new people.

Yesterday was my first time going there. This is the first veterinary hospital that I've been to that smells so good and is super clean. The Doctor was so sweet and addressed my cat's problem. She knew how to handle my cat, and my cat did great with her. The staff there was so sweet. I will be going there again. So happy about this place.

I love knowing that my dogs are getting the best care possible! Though I recommend all the doctors here, Dr. St. John is our main when booking appointments and she has always taken wonderful care of our pups. All the receptionists and techs are phenomenal and do their very best to make sure our pets are comfortable and feel safe (both of our dogs actually love going to the vet, mainly for all the love and treats they get). I also highly recommend the groomer, Robin! She truly cares about the animals and the work she puts out, which is amazing by the way. Overall, highly recommend!

Been a customer for a few years now & after my last experience I will not be returning with my pets. They say they care about your pets well being but all they really care about is how much $$ they can get out of you & scam you. Care nothing for their customers or your fur babies health.

I used to work here as a teen and the thing I loved most about it was the people and the care the animals received. The staff always took their time and gave the best care to every animal. Now, nearly 10 years later, I might no longer work there but when I became a new cat dad I knew exactly where to go. Came back to see some of the same smiling faces I used to see when I worked there. I was so relieved and excited to see old friends who I knew I could trust with my new cat, Drogon. Even the new faces I saw were incredibly friendly and kind. I was in and out with some new goodies and a happy kitten. Sandwich animal hospital is the only place I trust when it comes to giving my kitten the best care he can possibly get. Thank you to everyone who took care of my boy when we came to visit. Can’t wait to come back for our next appointment. You guys are awesome. ♥️
