Carts need maintenance, they're all squeaky & loud. Checkout time needs to be more timely, alot of chit-chat that goes on. Usually stocked good. Cashiers are friendly always but need to limit small talk for the people who are waiting in line. Over all, a great place. Very nice to have in small town rural area.

Nice store with very friendly and helpful employees. The inventory includes what you would expect: household items, clothing, some groceries and other discount store type items. Prices are very reasonable. The building is easy to spot since it's right on US Highway 24 which is the main road through town. There is plenty of parking in the lot in front of the store. Worth a visit.

Love the girls at the Rushville il store, my complaint is not with them. I get upset if you go to a company website and they have a search for anything button, but whatever you search for never ever has a dang price or a description of items, just a dang little picture of what you searched., And to make things worse you go to contact us button to send email and somehow it will black it out and not allow you to contact home office for questions or any reason . I guess cause they can't be bothered or just plain don't care about the customers that keep them in business. Such a aggravating generic website for the big company of family Dollar. At least Dollar general will show you a price. Amazon from now on instead of 5 times a week in store.

I've went to this location several times and usually always made some type of purchase regardless of how big or small it may have been, however in the past couple months, I put an application in at this Rushville Illinois location, before I even started the application process the " manager" Debbie ( I believe her name is) told me that they would not hire me , I then said well I was putting in an application in the system anyways, she then got very angry and said that " NOBODY would hire me" this lady doesn't know anything about me, I went ahead and filled out the online application and it said on the computer that I was eligible for assistance manager position, I have held several jobs in my life, most of them for well over a year and some for 4-5 years, for someone who doesn't know me to say that is uncalled for and very unprofessional and rude, I have never caused a problem with the store or that individual, I have heard her talk under her breath about other customers and she acts as if she hates the place, well find another job then!! Another day about a month or so back I came into the store to return someone's debit card and grab a drink, I was maybe in the store for 3 minutes total, as I was heading towards the counter the employee that was working at the time looked right at me and headed for the exit while they were on thier cellphone at this time, I had asked if I could pay for my drink really fast and they then said " when they are done".. done doing what? Smoking a cigarette and playing on their cellphone??! Really!! Needless to say , they let me purchase my drink and I was on my way out the door, as I got to get onto my bicycle to leave , my phone rang, it was a friend asking me where I was, I put them on speaker phone and started to roll a ciggerette ( total of 4 minutes on grounds ) the same employee who didn't want to check me out then came outside , walked straight up to me and asked me what I was doing? I said I was on my phone, rolling a ciggerette , do you mind" they were still on thier cellphone and then started smoking a cigarette, ( I didn't know the company wanted to pay people for leasure time) I asked the employee to leave me alone after they rudely started to say stuff under their breath, I then , loudly said " look everyone , this employee gets to do whatever they want and this is what's wrong with the United States, we hire lazy people who don't want the work" but then I'm a qualified applicant and I get told I couldn't get a job by anyone , before I even fill out my application, wow , this is coming from someone who doesn't know anything about me or my work history ( Debbie) Rushville Illinois manager of family dollar . This is discrimination , I have filled a complaint with corporate and will continue to until this person is terminated. I was trespassed from the property because I spoke the truth and called out the employee who was harassing me when I was on my phone. Do not go to this store unless you want employees talking about you after you leave and giving you a bad name. They are disrespectful, unfair and rude.
