We just moved to the area and my dogs are used to mobile grooming but our last experience before moving was terrible. So I was really nervous to get my girls groomed. I am so extremely happy with the outcome of their grooming from " Hair of the Dog" their nails are beautifully cut, they smell great and my Maltese has the perfect haircut. Happy momma here. Thank you. Will definitely be back.

Will never recommend to any clients or family/friends. I brought my dog for daycare knowing he would have to be evaluated to see if it be a good fit for him. We stayed near in case we got a call he needed to be picked up. Never got a call and was told he did wonderful and played with other dogs. Next business day call to ask about bringing him for daycare all day and was told he was never with the dogs and was by himself untill we can evaluate him elsewhere. Sorry but why run a business if you cannot be honest? Very unprofessional. If he was bad I would understand but they never gave him a chance and just shut him by himself and lied about it. I also explained he was with my other dog and was playing with other dogs when we adopted him but apparently that's not enough to even give him a chance. Will never return. If you go to DDC here make sure they are actually with other dogs!

Stephanie runs an excellent grooming facility!! Very patient and kind to the dogs. Reasonable pricing. My dogs always were excited to go there and never scared. Recommended highly.Thank you for being there for my girls, Molly and Abby.

I was going to have them shave my husky because of the shedding she was doing all over my house but these people told me that they could get the hair out of her coat and I would not have to do that and to my amazement they did and they did a perfect job. Was thrilled to see her coat smooth and clean with all the loose hair gone.. They love and take care of your animals as if they were their own. Recommend them to anyone with thick haired dogs.

My T-Bone and Tator-Tot have been groomed by the ladies at Hair of the Dog since they started needing grooming services, approximately 13 years. They do fantastic work and always treat us with kindness. I appreciate their patience and loving kindness towards my puppies. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Brought my black lab in for a shampoo and a nail trim. She was very happy when I came back to pick her up so it must have been a good experience for her. Plus, she is now soft and smells pretty again so I'm happy, too.

This is a post responding to Angie Fligge post. Hair of the Dog Grooming DID NOT put any open wounds on her dog !!!! That is Not true !!! The truth is they brought their golden in for a groom and asked us if we would rinse him extra good because he has had a hot spot for 5 months before.We said of course we will we have great water pressure here that is not a problem. We washed him and groomed him and he smelled and looked great. They left happy. ONE WEEK LATER.. the owner came back to our salon and I asked if there was a problem ? He said yes. He showed me that his dog had a hot spot by the base of his tail. He stated that we didn't rinse him good.I told him we rinsed him extra good I know for a fact. I'm sorry he has another hot spot but I can assure you it isn't from us not rinsing him good. He became very angry and arrogant he said that wasn't the answer he was looking for. I told him I wasn't going to take fault when I knew we rinsed him extra good. We have washed over 36,000 dogs in the past 10 years and have never had not one complaint of not rinsing the dog good. (and were not asked to rinse extra good)We groom St. Bernard's, Great Pyrenees, Newfoundland's, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Husky's, Shepard's, Golden Retriever's....ect . After a lot of debate about this ordeal we have found out that their golden has had sensitive skin for some time. They have changed his food and he has special shampoo prescribed from their veterinarian (which we used the day of the groom and pointed out to the owner that it was expired ). I told them that being made and slandering Hair of the Dog Grooming Salon was not going to help with their dogs skin problems and hoped that their vet could help with his issues.I guess what is very disturbing to me is the LIE that we gave their dog open wounds. Their dog left the salon clean with a nice haircut and all were happy with no wounds. For whatever reason he developed a hot spot a week later maybe just sensitive skin maybe food allergies, maybe stress I don't know . I asked to view the dogs veterinarian records to see his history but of course the owners would not let us. We love dogs and love our jobs and it is very very sad to read their lies.I'm not sure who BB Smith is with the 1 star, but I will look at our customer list and contact all of our Smith customers to find out what you were unhappy with. Not sure if your and friend of the Fligge 's like David Smith ( with his fake profile) with the 1 star is.We go out of our way to please every customer and dog and if a customer has a request we deliver.Thank You and We appreciate you !!! First time visit in Dec 2018. Excellent experience for our little Maltese/Shizu who is frequently scared after grooming. Groom looked great. Highly recommend Hair of the Dog.
