Has the best selection of plants and cool rocks. They are well educated when it comes to fish and anything scaly. The customer service is amazing as well. Love this family owned business. These fish were bought from Roe and have been doing fabulous. Even if your not in the market to buy things there, it's a cool place to peek into.Edit: went in and still greeted like family. I love this place. Go take a peek and have some good conversations too :)

I use ROE for all my fish and tank needs friendly and knowledgeable family owned have been a patron for years! They have more options to choose from from fish, tanks, substrate, decor, then all the rest! Just an over all great place for the aquarium hobbyist!!!!!

I’ve read plenty reviews now that compare the pricing of this shop to big box pet stores and such. Anyone who complains of this shops pricing merely looked at one item and decided to be senile. This shop is what you make of it, as they have been in business for well over 40 years dealing with plenty of absolutely sorry excuses for customers. Once you display any amount of knowledge or passion in the hobby to the owners, you will be taken care of, but if you’re a nobody to them theyll be nobody to you. Their fish stock is typically immersive, with new vibrant additions weekly. Phil can even order just about any fish in the hobby for you, and quarantines EVERYTHING before sale to ensure liability is on him instead of the customer. They have the best rates for the products I need in the entire QC, by a large portion too. If you’re doing business with any shop in the qc, especially on the IL side, anywhere but here is a mistake.

Love the Betta Fish I got from them, as well as a great selection of aquatic plants. Healthy fish and plants, and a wide variety. The staff are so helpful and educated, really enjoyed discussing hobby knowledge and setup ideas. Will be back!

Absolutely hands down the best freshwater store in the area! Love the family owned atmosphere and the amazing knowledge they have! The selection of fish is ever changing and always a variety of different types!

They have amazing fish and fair prices, vary knowledgeable about their fish. Amazing tank selection. They also have a friendly calico calorie queen cat who is a sweetheart. They also have some good reptile stuff, quality hamster items I haven't seen before, vary nice cat and dog treat selection, plants and unique decorations. Also discount tanks. LOVE roe aquarium.

The shop is family owned and has been in business for over 30 years! I just heard about it this week but am regretting not knowing about them sooner. The fish were beautifully kept, and the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They can assist and answer just about any question you have. I am loving the two Golden Marble Angelfish and Cory Cats that I was able to find. 10/10 recommend and will pass the name to others.

I've had and taken care of birds and fish for over 20 years, and this is the worst store I've been to in a long time. They have crying baby birds in barren cages with nowhere to hide and nothing to do. They're making they're scared calls and crying for their parents. As well as having fish in horrible conditions. Their "mascot" is a large, 30+ inches, ripsaw catfish in a tiny tank where it can barely move and can't even turn around. I was suggested fish that would kill each other and outgrow my tank by a mile. I wouldn't trust a thing they say, all they're doing is making a sale and have no afterthoughts about the animals wellbeing. While they might be able to keep animals alive, they are cruel and heartless when it comes to caring for them. I will never step foot in there again and I would suggest you do too. There are far better stores in the QC, and it is a wonder and a miracle they are still in business.

Always a great experience every time I go in. The knowledge of fish is unmatched anywhere in the area.I love the fact that it is ran and operated by a local family husband and wife and two daughters make the atmosphere feel like you belong there and even the cat comes out once and awhile in welcome you into their home.
