They have made some great improvements to this place over the past couple of years and my familia loves it! Unfortunately, there were a couple attractions that our kiddos really had their hearts set on trying out but they closed up early and the place itself already closes too early as it is. 6pm when it is beautiful fall weather and the sun is out until 7:30pm is just too early in my opinion. There were other customers there still as well trying to get all they could out of their entrance fee, that they raised this year so although we were there for a few hours, we still didn't have time to for them to do everything. My husband was in the Beard Contest so that did take about maybe like 45mins of our time there, but still should have been enough time for everything since we had arrived at around 1:45pm. That part was disappointing.. Still a great place to take the family though y'all! Beautiful Fall setting photo opps that I particularly love being the photographer in the familia! 😊👌🏽🍂🍁💛🧡🧡

We used to go to Selmis, but now you are Charging us to enter? We do not go to play games or to do the maze, etc. We Used to get apples and cider and Cliffs Doughnuts. Is it not enough to pay for those items and NOT have to pay to get in? Is everyone money hungry anymore? Was nice to stroll around, maybe buy a pumpkin or some of the other stuff, but I guess no more. Kinda sad.

This is my first flower shopping spot every year in May. So friendly, clean, zero bugs or spiders, healthy plants, easy staging space to really load up on all your spring plant purchases, nice plant loading service, great pay options, amazing experience. Their family business is my family's annual spring tradition.

I had a blast here even though the weather wasn't the best. It was amazing. The gift shop was nice, the games were so fun, and it was all so fun.

Traveled 40 miles to pick out some pumpkins, patch not open yet which we didn’t realize but was fine even though could have found more pumpkins available at my local grocery store down the street. Had never been here before in fact never been to a place like that and was looking forward to the experience and to checking out the place but the two women in the store seemed more interested in the work they were doing on a wall together to busy to provide some friendly service. Have to say the cat in the store seemed more interested in us being there than the two people to busy talking to each other to hardly notice we were there. Just a very disappointing experience and rude to say the least. Good customer service should always be a priority, a customer should never walk away from your business feeling like we did today, just no except-able reason for it

Reasonable pricing on local honey. And if you are into them, they have nicely flavored picked beets.

Great for kids, very expensive for example $13 for bag of apples $12 for dozen doughnuts. There's not much for adults to do and probably not worth $7 admission fee. Even the tractor ride only lasted 10 minutes and you see nothing but dead corn fields.

There is no ACTUAL patch where you can pick your pupumpkins. They also have very few options for pumpkins. This place is over priced for their pumpkins as well. Went in and got 6 pumpkins that were blue dot ( average size) and 4 pumpkins that were red dot ( super small) and it was over $50. Total rip off.

Went there for a half marathon and stayed for the apple cider donuts and awesome stuff for the kids. Really cool corn maze, lots of animals to see and pet, and other fall activities. We loved it here.

For being called a pumpkin patch there's no pumpkin patch. If you want all the fun taken away from going out into the field and picking your own pumpkins this is your place. All their gourds are in their side yard. There are cute animals. Just wasn't the kind of family memories I that i would imagine sticking around. Still got pumpkins and apple donuts but I'm not too impressed and very disappointed. Cause really, why call yourself a pumpkin patch when you don't have a pumpkin patch?! Call yourself a pet/ing zoo and corn maze. I came expecting to make some live long memories with my family in a field of pumpkins. Now I may be new to the area but come on. Pumpkin patch. If I wanted to get pumpkins prepicked an in a bin or pile I'd just go to Walmart.

Haven't been back to my hometown of Sterling for quite a few years, and had to get corn and tomatoes while here as remember how good they always were. Selmis has the best corn and tomatoes ANYWHERE!!! and as a travel nurse I've been all over! Before I go home in September will be back to buy more! Worth the drive from my assignment in Des Moines.

I’ve never had a bad experience at Selmi’s until today. Arrived at 7:45 for the advertised 7am to noon Cliff’s Donuts event. There were already dozens and dozens of cars waiting... and no one was being served! All just waiting and waiting. Over an hour later I’m still inching forward. I came out to support a local business during these difficult times. But in the future I’ll find a different local business to support!

How good is Selmi's? I live in Indiana and don't buy my spring-planting flowers anywhere else since I discovered this gem near the Rock River. The workers there are beyond attentive to my needs and the flowers I get there each year have out-performed any I've ever gotten elsewhere, so it just makes sense to continue getting them from Selmi's.In addition, when I come out each month to visit with my deaf and blind brother who lives in a nearby group home, he loves going there because they'll bring out all the most aromatic flowers for him to smell, something he enjoys greatly. They'll scour the entire complex to come up with the best examples in that year.If they'll do that for someone, you know they'll bend over backwards to help their clientele. Selmi's is a very special place and they more than deserve whatever I spend each year to make my yard look pretty. They deserve your business as well.

So happy to be back at Selmi's again this year. All the new additions for the kids were fun. We have two very tired little ones! Always love Cliff's donuts!

They have nice plants that grow extraordinary well. They also carry a great selection of the really hot peppers which are of good height and hardy . My wife loves the selection of flowers and succulents.

Donuts are very good! Half dozen are $5 and dozen are $10. If you have small children they'll like all the different animals, and they can feed them for $1.

Recommend for any age group to see and buy your fall produce and plants. They have farm animals kids will love, I'm 67 and enjoyed them. Will go back for the corn maze.

We just ate Selmi's super sweet corn for the first time. OMG! I had no idea bi-colored, sweet corn could actually be that sweet. First, I tasted it before cooking, which is always a good test; so good. Then, I boiled it for about three minutes and served immediately. My family was blown away! Thank you, Matt Selmi.
