From the outside looking in, I was drawn to in with the blinking lights. However, it could use a bit more lights to mark the entrance driveway.Once we entered, we were curious with how the food would be. Other reviews appear to wonder about this as well. The interior atmosphere is filled with antiques and charm. The video slot machines is what I believe give reason for pause. The very reasonable prices might even make folks wonder as well! :-)When the food arrived, we didn't have to wonder anymore. The ribs, the salad, and the hot dogs we ordered were all excellent!Now that we're over the hump of wondering, you'll want to come back more and more. The price AND TASTE will not scare you!

We ordered door dash. I'll give them this, the ribs are good. Burger was decent but the lettuce was spring mix. On a burger? Is that a thing? I don't think that's a thing. The fries were okay. The main problem I had was they forgot a hot dog. So my wife had to eat nothing but fries while the rest of us had our food. I was going to drive out there but the whole reason we dashed was because I'm feeling under the weather and don't want to get anyone else sick. I called the restaurant and I was asked how I wanted to handle it. It's not my job to come to a resolution. It's yours. I want my food. Figure it out. I almost drove out there for my wife but she convinced me not to. So the end result is, we paid for food we didn't get and won't get because I don't plan on ordering from there again. I don't need excuses for why I didn't get my food. Figure out how to get me my food.

A Nice surprise!Stopped here on our way back from Lake Geneva. Their feature menu item is a stuffed hamburger and I will say it was so much better than expected.The burgers are huge. The meat is fresh, I am not sure, but I think they grind it there. The onion rings are also really good; hand dipped and battered. Great fries.Don't let the outside appearance fool you. The place is rustic and maybe a little kitschy, but think of it as character.

I was born and raised in Chicago and this is it ! My Dad would be proud and I'm sure the owner Pat's father Red would be proud too.This is 4th generation, originated by the Grandfather selling Hot Dogs under the umbrella of a push cart.Relaxing out door seating, on the patio or under a shade tree in the grass, on a picnic table, this is true to style of a good Chicago dog.Two inside dinning rooms have a large menu and a full service bar for your pleasure.There's Gaming machines if thats your thing all sectioned off for the pandemic minded patron.You can enter off route 12, lots of parking, going north you'll see the Napa auto parts store, a car wash, then Red's, all on the West side of hwy 12.Going south its a half mile from hwy 12 where it divides, just past the super 8. DONT Confuse it with the suds dog place next door.I'll be back ...

Very nice ambience and beautiful stained glass lights with games and good food. I got the Bbq pulled pork with garlic toast with green beans and sweet potato fries. The garlic toast was a bit well done but the pulled pork was wonderful. My husband got the king size prime rib with a potato cake. He said it was so so. We ordered 2 mixed drinks and shared a brownie sundae desert. The total came to just under $60.

A must place to stop. I live in Arizona and was visiting the area. My wife and I went in to have a hot dog and I was talked into the ribs. The ribs were one of the best I have ever had and I have had ribs all over the country and they were reasonably priced. The bartender was very friendly and knew the menu well. They have cool antiques where some are for sale. I ended up buying an antique game machine. The owner came out afterward we ate and was also very nice. Don't pass this place by!

We were very happy that we had stopped!We went for a late lunch, after a visit to Lake Geneva.We had our daughter with us. They were dog friendly, so we sat outdoors with our pup. They had a separate Dog Menu and treats at the bar.Their friendly bartender took our order. We enjoyed their excellent Patty Melts with fries (and good ranch dressing). Our daughter liked her hotdog too.We also shared a great chocolate shake. They had a good live band playing (on a Saturday afternoon) too.We look forward to our next visit!

Yum, my wife had the pulled pork sandwich with fries, I had the king size Prime Rib dinner, both were excellent, came fresh sweet corn that must have been locally grown. Service was excellent as well. We did not know they were closing soon but they welcomed us for dine in service. Highly recommend, we will be back. 😀 Thank you.

We have been eating at Red's for more than 2 years and we love it! The owner is always friendly and he cares about what the customer thinks. He always asks us if we enjoyed our meal. The waitresses are attentive and friendly, we enjoy talking to them. The food is the absolute best! They use very high quality meats which they cook to perfection. The atmosphere inside is classy and family friendly, it has a warm "home" feel. The prices are great if you realize the high quality of the food you get. We always have enough food to bring home and use for our lunch the next day. My personal favorite are the stuffed burgers. They use Angus beef and you can certainly taste the difference. The stuffed portabella mushroom is also great. The steaks are perfection. This is a great place to bring family and friends, just sit back and enjoy some quality time together.

This place does Not suck. Great hot dog , great burgers, gyro's and chicken tenders just as good. Good pizza. Pretty much I wish I tried this place 25 years ago. Great service. Extremely happy to share our experience. Don't think twice about eating here. It's awesome

Food was good very quiet for Saturday night only 1 or 2 other couples in the whole restaurant. The fact that I maybe got 8 or 10 sweet potato fries and paid an extra dollar was a little aggravating. On the positive side the Burger is huge and was pretty good tasting.

I was fan of their old location and loved going there every summer. But now that they are even closer to my house I love going there anymore! They did a wonderful job on their renovations and the place looks amazing! I’ll definitely be there more often to get an authentic Chicago style hot dog, gyro, and double bacon cheese burger!

For the most part we had a good dining experience. There were 6 in our party and 5 of the meals were good. Four had steaks and one had fish fry. I chose the rotisserie chicken. Big mistake! It was so dried out I couldn't eat it. Rotisserie cooked anything is usually very moist. I'm not sure what happened to it but it was awful! Our waitress was great and the cheese and crackers they serve before the meal is really good!

Sunday afternoon's they have an open mic blues jam session. The music was great, but a bit lout to have a conversation at the table. I ordered the ribs and thought they were very good, could taste the smoke . Tender, but still clung to the bone. The Ribeye salad was also very good. Prices were very reasonable. Don't let the outside fool you, its worth the stop.
