I called her earlier today to have them hold an item for me and they said they would. I called to double check before I left because it was an hour drive and the customer service desk did not have my name did not have my number and knew nothing about holding an item for me. They had four pallets earlier in the day, and now they only have three items left..this was the Rantoul Rural King.

Good place to shop. Especially if you have no other reason to go to Champaign. I give it 4 stars for the following reasons. It's very difficult to find someone to help you, you'll find most are up front at the registerAnd the floor is a real tripping hazard. There are several places throughout the store where the concrete seams are as mush as an inch different in hight. There are also places where big chunks are missing. Due to cancer and the drugs I tale I have neuropathy in my hands and legs. Because of this I cannot tell if I'm lifting my feet when I walk. So these are true tripping hazards for me and anyone like me. Lastly they allow dogs In the store. Not everyone is a dog person, im not, and some are allergic.

The woman at the register was very pleasant and helpful but the individuals who assist with loading brought our 15 bags of feed to the front of the store and left it unattended then when another worker did walk by he ignored us and grabbed an indidual cart and walked it back inside. Other rural king locations actually assist their customers.

We drive over an hour to shop the Rantoul Rural King. Store is ALWAYS well stocked, clean and has THE MOST HELPFUL & FRIENDLY employees than any other store. We are closer to Lafayette IN & Champaign IL store.. but Lafayette is a dirty store with very unfriendly/helpful employees, and Champaign is not far behind...

Needed a new battery for the lawn mower. Great selection and price was only $44.00 with exchange of old battery. Very friendly at check out and she reminded me that they would be closed for Easter Sunday tomorrow.

Cashiers need a bit of Customer service training, didn't smile, say hi, have a nice day, or anything, just what I owed.. THAT'S ALL that what said to me period. Used to love rural king. Now I just like it because of the things that are sold and popcorn lol. I prefer Ace hardware down the road just for WAY better customer service & depending on what I am shopping for. Yes, I will continue to shop here due to convenience and the items they sell.

Place in store pick up order. Simple item of Berg Bag towels, 30x30 with Rural King sku number. Store site confirmed quanity I order was in inventory. Double checked order before going to pick up since the trip was 140 miles round trip. Was assured yes all matches of item I ordered. Got to store and the item was not as ordered. Towels were 32x36 as label adhered to towels shows. The person who filled the order couldn't say why it was in error because they picked(filled)the order. When I viewed the shelf at the store for the 30x30 towels it was empty. ?? The towels picked cost more also?! I don't feel like the time was taken to fill the order correctly.

I am truly thankful for the helpful employees at Rural King. It is so refreshing to go to customer service and actually be surprised to get the help you need for what would have been a costly mistake on my part for which I was prepared to pay to make right being that it was my mistake. Places of less integrity would have been happy just to take my money and send me on my way. Not here. Predetermined to actually represent customer service as such, turned my mistake in to a pleasant experience. I thank you again.

The staff in Rantoul are great! They go above and beyond to help their customers. I was in middle of a project and needed 1 more thing of paint so I called them to make sure it was in stock before I left to drive all the way there and they had it waiting for me. They even asked about other things I may have needed before I left to save me extra trips. This is my favorite store to get supplies at!

Service at the register is usually pretty good. We love the vast selection of hardware and pet supplies. Parking is good, prices are good and we appreciate the employees cleaning carts continuously and implementing the cart requirement during the pandemic (for social distancing). It shows the company cares about customers. One area this store needs to greatly improve on (although I have seen it at the Champaign location as well) is the grocery section. It is not very well organized, and many many times there are plenty of expired items on the shelf (very often in the chips/crackers/cookies section), and this is pretty gross. Management needs to make sure floor staff are checking consumable items for expiration dates. There is no excuse for this, it needs to be done periodically as other competitors do.

Picked up chicken feed here. The store is packed with all kinds of farm and home stuff. And the staff were very helpful in answering questions. I'm going back in another week to get a couple of chestnut trees. I don't know any other place around that carries them. And they have free coffee and free popcorn (in a popcorn maker) right by the door. Who does that? Love.

Always enjoy going here! They almost always have what im looking for and always staff around to ask for help if you need it! And of coarse its worth the trip just to pay a visit to the baby chickens and baby ducks! Their adorable and i always wamna leave with all of them 😝

Always a pleasure to shop here. Kjeep up the good work. Now that a certain big retail chain has stopped felling guns and ammo... your store will thrive even more. Good prices, good selection of camping, pet products, and hardware. I would like to see a more refined fishing section with a better selection of lures.

My husband and I come into this location at LEAST once a week for over 2 years. The cashiers and floor employees have been wonderful until recently (probably because they are miserable with the new store manager). The new store Manager Art has NO business being a leader. I'm not sure if he is overwhelmed or what his issue is. He has been nothing but rude to employees when we have been in the store. Called my husband on an issue today that we were told a DISTRICT MANAGER would be dealing with and was rude AGAIN and led my husband to hang up on him. Both of us being in customer service ourselves we never get to this point. We are completely unhappy and the only two genuine employees there this week that care jave been Sam (the front end supervisor) and Ken.

They put out an ad in the paper for a small rifle I wanted for my wife . They did not have it said they were sold out no rain checks. Other stores provide them we were very disappointed. Please don't advertise them if you only have 2 in Stock we drove 50 miles to get ine!

Everyone at rural king is very helpful. They are friendly. Kiersten is one of the managers and she walked me out with my gun and made very nice small talk I will come to rural king for anything and will always have helpful service thank you guys for everything you do best store in rantoul hands down!

When in the area, we always stop by this Rural King. It is rather large inside. They carry work boots, clothing, tools, kid's items, food, pet items, etc. They usually have a great selection of toys for Christmas as well. Plenty of big truck parking. Just be careful pulling in!

Went to get archery deer permits. The man working the gun counter new what he was doing and was very friendly. My baby spit up on the counter top and he was completely understand and made me feel less embarrassed about the situation.
