I can’t speak for their regular veterinary services, but they do a fantastic job with walk-ins and emergencies. After accidentally cutting my dog’s quick, nothing I tried worked to stop the bleeding. I went into Klingele where vet tech Lindsey took care of him and immediately solved the issue! She did an awesome job and major props to her.

Took our Athena to them because she wasnot herself. They did xray. Said she had cancer. Would last a month. Went home with her to love her for the time she had left. That night she had 2 seizures from a brain tumor and passed away. So we did not even get to spend a month with her. Wrong diagnosis and wrong length of time we had left with her. So medication they sent and charged us for was worthless. But did not refund any of the bill they charged us .

! Letting a family pet for because y'all are heartless ! N want cash all in advance before any emergency surgery. Most people can pay a reasonable amount. As copay but really. That is pathetic ....I'll never ever recommend y'all to any one. You have no empathy my dog is dead because you said it wasn't life threatening n you lied for profit... I hope you get it back.A million times. need to go back to school. ! I can say more. But what's the point

**DONT GO HERE IN AN EMERGENCY. Update to this turns out my dog had parvovirus. He could have died and nothing was done. Extremely devastated by the lack of care for my dog.I agree with a couple other reviews that this place is crooked. The moment we were taken back into a room the vet tech said that we could do blood work and an x-ray for $974 before a veterinarian even looked at our dog. He was taken in for vomiting and not eating or drinking for nearly two days. We paid $79 for them to take 5 minutes of there day to look at our dog and ask us a couple questions. She recommended Pepcid and that was all, which he threw it up anytime we tried to give him the dose. Very unhappy with the way we were taken advantage of and that they didn’t do anything to help our dog.Luckily General veterinary clinic took great care of him (they had been closed the weekend he got sick). For 2 shots, 2 x-rays and 2 medications it was $218, and he’s doing much better. Please save yourself the money and wasted time!

My 1 star review goes along with the others. I reached out to the email they provided to the other negative reviews and gave one week for a response, before I left the 1 star. I had no response, so I came here. My mother's senior dog was seen 3x in the last month, we got nothing but the run around and we were always told arthritis and given meds. The 2nd visit, I even said this is more than arthritis, and wondered if it was her time because of her age and symptoms and the vet said "No, she needs to take this medication and she'll be better, that's why she's not eating, etc because of her arthritis pain." ((Ok! That gave us some hope!!)) At every appointment, they very adamantly reminded us the cost of everything and that it had to be paid in full before we left. (Which we always did, and spent just under $1,000 in FULL) in less than a month. They quoted us over $700 for xrays because they're a "hospital". At this point, I had made an appointment with a new vet for a 2nd opinion to get xrays done. On 12/7 we had to take Bella in for an after hours ER visit, where the vet tech actually asked us "So what do you want us to do and what do you want me to tell the vet?". I had told her we were getting x rays done elsewhere tomorrow, but we thought Bella was dying right in front of us, but I believe since we were not paying the amount they charge, they almost didn't care. We left that night, with some pain injections, etc ($400 paid in full). We've never seen the same vet twice and have never been treated with dignity and respect. I partly blame myself for not changing vets sooner but the convenience and location and hours worked better for my mom. Location and hours are no longer the priority! 12/8 she was seen by a different vet in Quincy, (Four Paws is great for anyone looking), but that was the last time because she sadly passed away. This office is in business for the business aspect and money. You can't convince me otherwise, especially seeing how different another compassionate another vets office is ran.

They're the best. They are always so great with our dogs, and give them the best care. Whether it's been an emergency or a routine checkup, they're just awesome to work with and very communicative. The pic isn't from at the clinic, but is my two dogs resting easy after this morning's visit.

Had an unfortunate emergency that resulted in my dog Wrigley not getting to return home. It was all very unexpected but everyone at KVC was kind and caring during the whole process. My son got to see our dog at the end and be with her and that was very important to him. The team at KVC made a very sad and unexpected event a lot better to deal with. I’ve taken my dogs there for years and fortunately this was the first time for an emergency like this. My dogs have always had great experiences with both medical treatment and with boarding at KVC but the service experienced during this rough time was wonderful given the situation.

I needed emergency care for one of my dogs, and my regular veterinarian recommended Klingele Animal Hospital, as they had longer hours. Dr. Tammy was very thorough and caring, and gave me plenty of options to help my dog (who has hip issues, due to her age & breed) manage her discomfort. The entire staff is very helpful & friendly, and their fees are reasonable.

Very nice, clean business. Appointment was set back because of a couple of emergencies, normal. Staff appeared knowledgeable, courteous. A bit pricey, but they are a city vet. Satisfied with my service.

Do not recommend…. We had an emergency on a weekend and this was only place open… drove hour to get there…. 2 hours and $1300 later they had no answers… they took x rays then after looking at them they said they weren’t qualified radiologists so I’d probably need to have them done somewhere else! All they kept saying was that there was nothing more they could do for us….absolutely awful… if your pet needs anything more than a vaccination…. This is NOT the place to go…. They are nothing but an overcharging bunch of fakes….my dog right now thankfully is still alive because of another vet…. This place would have killed him he had a very bad lung infection and they did nothing but try to send me somewhere else to get charged more money

Don’t recommend. Our pet had an emergency visit and was let to sit in a kennel in the back for 11 hours before receiving relief. They then kept him on 3 medications, that are all known to interact with one another and have warnings on them to not take together, the entire time he was there. Together these meds render him unconscious for 10-11 straight hours and were given twice a day.Somehow, in his 2-4 waking hours while in their “monitored” kennel, he ripped out his own tubing - because it isn’t monitored. He would’ve been watched more closely in his home.Altogether they charged $3200 for the pleasure of locking my agonized and terrified pet in a kennel that was in a room of other sick pets, waiting 11 hours to provide relief, and keeping him unconscious because they don’t staff well enough to keep an eye on your pet in the back or can’t at least afford cameras to have someone watch. To add insult to injury they charged about $100 for a prescription pet food with a history of recalls, a bunch of grain, and insufficient nutrition for a growing animal claiming that this “prescription food” will solve an organ issue that his labs proved he didn’t have. They required payment before bringing us to our pet, who was given a steroid shot just as we arrived so that he’d appear conscious (it’s one of the last “treatments” he received and is also counterindicated for his condition and the other meds they used), and gave us the receipt to review as we left - so we couldn’t even decline the food. Our pet crashed from the steroid within an hour, slept for 2, and it took him 12 hours to remain alert for greater than 10 mins at a time. He continued experiencing dizziness, disorientation, and coordination issues for 24 hours after the last dose he received at their clinic. Our routine vet, who was closed at the time of the emergency, immediately removed him from all medications. They might be the only ones open closer than Springfield but that drive is probably worth it. All care done other than resolving the emergency and running labs (i.e. knocking him unconscious and not monitoring him between doses) added $1400 extra to the bill not counting the $100 food that isn’t recommended for his health situation.

Nobody wants to let go of a loved one. They are a very caring and compassionate group of people. When it came time for me and my baby girl Vixen, neither one of us wanted to let go of the other, and she fought right to the end. But they made it easier for me in a more comfortable way . I can't thank them enough, Thank You for everything.

We were able to drop off our cat within 20 minutes of calling today. Everyone who helped us was so genuine, including their receptionist. We felt the open communication they gave was great. Since my fiancé and I both had to work, the vet accommodated us over the phone. She was upfront about costs and seemed pretty honest about what was necessary to perform and what wasn’t. Our fur baby is home and seems comfortable. We are very happy with the top level care.FYI they do accept Care Credit if you feel you can’t afford costs up front.

I am so grateful to the staff at Klingele! They took such great care of my dog Sheba when she was in critical condition. Each member of the staff was kind and compassionate, and it is thanks to them that I have her with me today. They made a stressful process much more navigable and went so far as to coordinate continuing care for me so that the emergency animal hospital with overnight care was completely up to date prior to her transfer. I can't thank them enough!

They advertise that they open for emergency until 10pm. I called them while we on our way with our puppy who just started to vomit and running stool 30 mins prior. she was just there at this place a couple of weeks prior for the same similar issue. We arrived at 9:55pm. The lady I spoke on the phone tell us it will be at least an hour before we can see the doctor and tell us to wait for the reception lady to finish her phone call first. After the reception lady finished her call, she took our information and disappear. After that, the lady I spoke to on the phone came back out with 2 other ladies and told me that "Since it is now after 10pm, they cannot put us on the schedule. She also told me that I can either hospitalize my puppy, or she can give my puppy a shot." I am very upset. We arrived before they close. We willing to pay their emergency fee. They knew we were on our way. The lady I spoke with on the phone told the receptionist to finish the phone (booking appointment for the next day) first, then take care of us later. After that she told us that they cannot put us on schedule because it past their close time?!?!?!?! We got there before they close for an emergency visit. She did not even look at my puppy or ask for any symptoms. She was just going to give my puppy a shot or hospitalize my puppy?!?!?!?Very unprofessional. Why advertise that you open for emergency till 10pm if you turn your patient away before you close??? (made us wait in the waiting area till it past your close time and told us that you can't do anything for us since it past your close time). This is not the first time that they turn emergency away before they close.

First time visit was sad for us, as it was time to let go of part of our family (our family dog that was 13 yrs old). We were so relieved to be at a veterinarian that did not try to make us feel as we needed to spend money to better the rest of our dogs life. They were so caring & sympathetic with us. They explained everything & helped us feel @ ease to the process. Thank you for helping on such a sad day for our family. I will recommend you from now on, & you have a new customer.

Absolute crooks. $116 for an anal gland expression. A “exam” that I didn’t have a choice in was added… she was back there for literally 90 seconds so it must have been real thorough.

Amazing staff and care for our bunnies. The prices are truly amazing!!! It cost three times that where I live. It was worth the four hour drive. I highly recommend. I came back to add that I am now making the drive again for my dog's teeth cleaning. It truly is worth the drive. You save a lot of money (the price is double for this where I live), and the people there seem to really care. It's worth the drive!! Highly recommend!

Very kind and polite. Clean facility, not loud, didn't smell at all. It was easy to get in on an emergency basis late at night even as a new patient. Convenient hours allowed for an appointment when it worked for us. I was very satisfied with our visit and will return.

Amazing staff and they are always super nice and helpful when it comes to caring for my two pets. The hours here are very convenient for us since we have a very busy schedule. And they are always committed to top tier care for your pet. If you are looking for a new place to care for your pet. Highly recommended.

This was our 1st visit with Klingele animal hospital and we were very pleased. Julie Howard took very good care of our little girl. When we couldn't get her to take her pills, I called back and they gave her something else right away. I really appreciate how they took care of Luna and everyone that I had contact with was very pleasant and very helpful.

Incredible doctors!! You can set your mind at ease that these doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and your pet will get the best of care. They have top of the line medical equipment from lab to X-ray to surgery! They also accept CareCredit if you need payment options! Their extended work hours (open 7 days a week) can also prevent you from paying costly emergency fees when you pet is sick outside the typical 8a- 5p clinic hours like most vet offices.

I went here for the first time and I have to say I was amazed at how compassionate they were! I had to say goodbye to my 18 year old fur baby and when I called them to explain the situation they told me to come in right away. No appt and no waiting. They treated him as if he were their own. They were very considerate to my feelings and they made sure I spent all the time I wanted to with him in his final moments. When it was over they wrapped him in a soft blanket and placed him in a small casket for me to take home. They also made a molding of his little paws for a keepsake and a few days later I received a sympathy card from them with the entire staff's signatures and notes! I am in awe and very thankful for their love and support

Spoke with boarding about boarding my dog on Mother's Day. Asked if I could pick him up around 8. I was told that they usually don't allow pickup after 4 but to call and see if I could on my home from St. Louis. Was told nothing about an extra fee for picking up after 4. I called like she told me to and the girl said it was okay to pick him up. I get there and they charged me an extra $21 to pick up. I told her that the boarding woman said nothing about an extra fee. The girl at the desk got all mad and emotional and when she brought my dog out made a smart comment to my dog about me. I called the manager, Kim, who said she would credit my account but she never did. Seems like all they care about is money. That day after I had dropped off my dog and was on the way to St. Louis, they called me and said that my dog needed another vaccine even though I had had him in there 2 weeks before for vaccines and they told me then that he was caught up for a year. Seems like they try to milk their clients for all the money they can get out of them. I would have given 0 stars if I could.

I am a 60 year old man who got scammed by these people, the lady who helped me with my dog was wonderful, but when the vet come in they could hold him to look in his ear, so I grabbed him up and held him so they could look, she looked in his ear and said yes he has an infection, then she turned around and said I'd like to swabe his ear so I said ok and held on to him so she could put a qtip in his in his ear, then a half hour later the lady came back with medicine, I go to the front desk and find out that when I said to the vet and thought she just wanted me to hold him again I was saying ok to an additional 79 dollar fee. I feel this is scam and they pulled it on me very easily like it's just normal practice, IM AN ELDERLY MAN ON DISABILITY WHO GOT SCAMMED BY THESE NONE PROFESIONAL PEOPLE... There should be a law against this kind if thing......I am very happy to say I emailed a very nice lady who called me and in a caring and professional manner resolved this whole situation, she was very understanding and concerned about the well being of my husky. Thank you very much for the kind treatment...
