Enjoyed our morning coffee watching the lazy river flow by. Absolutely beautiful campground with well maintained sites. All the sites are open to each other, but respectfully spaced. Great for group camping. Restroom/shower was immaculate & cheery. Hiking trails.Leashed pets ok with owner responsible clean up expected. Very reasonable rates.

This is a really nice little campground. We tent camped there twice last summer. We met the greatest people at the campground as well as in town which is really close to the campground. The shower house is nice and clean but they could use updated latrens. We can’t wait for this summer and fall because we are definitely going back .

Small park on the Rock River. There is a short trail that follows the creek in the woods, but other than that, it's just camping and fishing. Nice river access though.

Went to fish for a bit, saw several fish but didn't hook anything.Found some fossils from 500 million years ago when illinois was covered by a shallow tropical sea

Very nice camp grounds. Enjoyed our stay. The knats and mosquitoes were really bad, but that has nothing to do with the campsite.Restrooms: Only outhouses.Dog-friendliness: Welcome as long as you keep them on a leash.

I love my home town park. So many trees, so much shade. Great playground for kids. Nice bathrooms and showers.

Really nice river access. The park had lots of picnic spots and a decent playground. It wasn't too busy though there were other people enjoying the outdoors. Will return to fish in the future.

Always have a good time when we go there for fireworks. Probably the best and longest display in the area. A nice little park for the kids to play at while you wait for the show and refreshments brought to you by the boy scouts. Or scouts. Whatever we're calling them now.

Serena n Dave were great hosts. Very friendly town. Bruce, the police chief was helpful providing directions to camp.Playground: Fresh water, showers, camp fire.

A safe definitely socially distanced place for a light afternoon picnic.Definitely park staff AND county law enforcement patrolled.Clean, enjoyable & reasonably quiet.Hope to return as weather & schedules permit. Thank you! :)

We pulled off the road and ate lunch in the park. The Rock River is beautiful and the park is very pleasant. The campground host stopped for a chat and provided a couple of brochures for the park and one with information on historic buildings in Prophetstown. It would be interesting to camp in the park and stroll around the town to eat, shop, or visit a museum. The native American history associated with the park is also fascinating.

Not much to do. Only a couple trails and they're very very underkept and over grown. Kids playground equipment is old and small. Also always trash surrounding it. The banks are over fished but the campground has an awesome bathroom with showers and toilets with actual plumbing.

Fantastic fireworks display. Had a good time with the family. Great Grandson even sat and took it all in (2yr old) Blessed to be living in this free nation under God.

Very peaceful. Clean. Not crowded during the week. Electricity, showers and flush toilets available. We just started coming this year, and have been back 3 times already.

It has a nice playground and lots of area for activities. There is a nice big pavilion for get togethers or parties too. The camp ground is also fairly nice and big.

Quit place slept by rock river, was there from Thursday to Friday. Trails very small. 8 dollars for tents.
