My first time dining here and it was for brunch. This is a cute little place that looks like it used to be a house renovated into a restaurant. There's a small gift shop in the entrance. I chose a small Caesar salad that came with a piece of garlic toast. It was ok nothing special for $7, so I'd probably passon it. I also got the soup of the day which was cream of mushroom, and it was delicious. I would recommend if it was offered again. My SO got the Red Rooster scramble. It didn't look overly appealing but he said it was good. He ordered a Cosmo, and I tried it and it was super good! The server was friendly, and the atmosphere here is cute. I remember the coffee was hot and fresh too. Overall, a good experience, and I would give it another try for breakfast, lunch or dinner if I'm ever in the Princeton area again.Vegetarian options: Soup, salads, sides

Thrilled to share my 5-star experience at Cafe Grace! 🌟 Highly recommended by a friend, and I'm so glad they pointed me in the right direction. From the inviting atmosphere to the exceptional service, every moment was delightful. The Fried Ravioli made for a fantastic appetizer, setting the stage for a culinary journey. My choice of the blackened salmon with sides of potatoes and vegetables was a taste sensation! Equally, my wife enjoyed the delightful chicken alfredo. If you find yourself in Princeton, don't miss the chance to savor the flavors at Cafe Grace! 🍽️👌 #CafeGracePrinceton #DeliciousDining #5StarExperience

I had the special - lobster and shrimp ravioli. It was absolutely delicious. It was the best I ever had. I was celebrating my birthday. I'm over 65 and have had this dish many times and without a doubt this was the best!! The Deconstructed Clam appetizer was excellent. My husband had the mushroom ravioli which he loved. Wonderful cozy atmosphere and friendly great service! I chose this restaurant for my birthday and was not disappointed. We will be back!Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp which is easy to navigate!

We picked up an order for dinner on a Saturday. They told us it would be 20 minutes, and the food was ready promptly when we got there. It was also nice and hot, even by the time we got home (20 minutes away).I got the chicken Marsala and my husband got the crab cakes and shrimp. Both came with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies (zucchini & yellow squash). Oh my goodness - our meals were SO tasty! Each of us said we would definitely get those again. I also loved that the mashed potatoes weren’t the fake potato flake variety. They were homemade and so delicious. I’m sure we’ll be back again sometime soon.

We had a lovely meal with pleasant service. Hubby’s pot roast was tender and falling apart. My soup de jour of shrimp and corn bisque had layered flavors that I enjoyed. Turtle brownie with ice cream tasted like it had just come out of the oven. We felt fortunate to have found it. The building is unassuming and a bit hard to spot from the road. It has historical charm.

First of all the restaurant was very cold as if the didn’t have any heat on. Second food wasn’t that great , didn’t know they would over toast the bread which made the sandwich hard to eat because everything was falling off. Service was very good and attentive a plus now days. Fries were very hard and over cooked, food was mediocre. Answer to when we were there was about 2 or 3 weekends ago. No it was not a warm day. My take on it is that restaurants keep it cold so you don’t stay long, and hurry up so they can accommodate more diners.

Service was awful. I was stressed today so I wasn’t particularly chatty with the waitress and she apparently took it personally and gave us the worst service we have ever received here. I had the Reuben and it was inedible. It was sooo tough! I told the waitress and instead of apologizing, goes to the kitchen and loudly tells the cook I said his food was garbage. I heard him swearing back there but again, no apology. My husband’s food was good and the appetizers were good. I had heard this place had gone down hill and unfortunately it’s true. A real shame!

A friend highly recommended this small Cafe in downtown Princeton IL. I ordered the Stuffed Mushroom & Swiss burger medium well with a side of Sweet potato waffle fries. I was not disappointed with flavor of burger or the fries. I had a slice of maple blueberry cake, that satisfied my sweet tooth. The entire staff was very helpful and friendly. Their breakfast and evening menu meals sound unique & delicious so I plan to go back! Check their page out on Facebook and if you have questions they dovreply back.

Nice find in Princeton! Tried it for the first time today for lunch and it was delicious. The food, service, and atmosphere were all great. We had the Turkey Rachel and the Turkey Club Panini both with a side of potato salad. The potato salad was amazing! We would go back again!

Cafe Grace is excellent! My girlfriend and I have visited three times in the past three weeks and we will definitely be back again soon! Their Hot Turkey sandwich (today’s lunch special) was the best I’ve ever had.The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Jaimie and Marci go out of their way to make you feel right at home! Princeton is very lucky to have Cafe Grace!

It was a lot of little things that added up for me... it was a seat yourself place, but it took a while to get a seat. Ended up getting someone's table they reserved due to others needing to be seated as well. Took a while to get our drink order, then our food order. They need to add a comma to one of their menu items since they are listing 3 items on the sandwich. I didn't realize the sandwich I ordered had green apples on it. I wouldn't have ordered that if I knew. There was also VERY LITTLE brie cheese on it. My husband liked his sandwich, but he wasn't impressed with wait times and other things. It was my first time here, but I'm probably not going back.

Traveling through Illinois my family and I decided to stop into the wonderful town of Princeton. We were in search of a place for breakfast and stopped at a few spots that did not seem welcoming. Luckily we came across Cafe Grace. All I can say is what an amazing spot. Great service, delicious food and welcoming to all. Thank you for such a pleasant experience. Hope to stop again on my travels!!!!Kid-friendliness: My kids loved the pancakes and thought the bathroom was super cool!!

I can't believe I've driven past this place countless times! Had their chicken marsala sandwich and it was beyond amazing! Best part is that I don't even LIKE mushrooms but I still ate it all because of how good it was!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp outside to enter

I had high hopes for this restaurant experience during my latest trip to Princeton. The waitstaff is very attentive. The space has so much potential, but it's negatively affected by a lack of cohesion in the interior design with lots of 'word art' on the walls and shelves. Some of the sliding wood doors from the historic space were cut up to make the bar, which made my heart break as a designer. The food itself was served on plastic plates, the veggies were of store bought frozen crinkle cut variety, and my fish was mush. There were 3 of us at dinner, and our total was just under $170 with food and drinks. I think with some minor design changes, and an overhaul of the menu (with fresher food and veggies) this could be a much better place.Although, there's no saving those gorgeous doors.

My experience didn't start off well since the restaurant was closed at the hours that should have already been opened someone should have been in the dining room. It was after 4 p.m. when they reopen in the afternoon I had to walk around the restaurant to the rear of the restaurant to find two Cooks and a server sitting on the ground smoking cigarettes. I ordered the hot beef sandwich and what I got was what's some charred, well overcooked, meat that could barely be chewed. I asked the server if this is normal? She said it wasn't they were having a new pot roast coming out of the oven. Apparently she said they sold me what was left of the old one and she said there's a new fresh one that's going to be done soon. But after chewing on that first one for so long trying to down it because I was super hungry didn't have any Faith to try it again. From reading the reviews it seems like people really like it which is why I came here. However, my first experience was a bad one. The waitress even took the bill the cash register instead of saying there's no charge right away she took the build the cash register and then she end up coming back after a few minutes and she said I'm not going to charge you for it. I appreciate that but that shouldn't even be thinking about it when you know it came out burned. I'm not from Princeton I just been working here for a few days. Maybe one day I will give it another shot but what a horrible first impression. You can see the pictures of the burnt meat it was hard like old beef jerky

I visited this place with my mother-in-law the weekend before Mother's Day and enjoyed very much the friendly faces and historical vibes this place had to offer. My mother-inlaw uses a walker and has trouble with any steps and this place has a nice ramp and was very accomodating to her needs. I give it a big thumbs up. The fried chicken had so much coating I found it hard to eat without wishing I had a dog to clean up the floor after me, however.Wheelchair accessibility: Very nice ramp and no stairs

We were there for dinner last night and were very impressed. The appetizers were very large portions and delicious. The dinner salad is the perfect size for a meal. The chicken Parmesan was excellent and enough for two people. We split the Carmel brownie and I’m pretty sure I dreamt about it last night it was that good. You definitely need to go. What a great addition to Princeton!

Was pleased with the meal except for the soup I had the andouille/potato soup and the andouille sausage was not to my liking, I prefer the Spicy type, not the European. Otherwise the remainder of the dinner was palatable! Will go again. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

Inside has a very homey feel. Food was delicious. If you like scallops, try the scallop bruschetta appetizer. You won't regret it! Great service; waitresses were very attentive. We didn't have to wait long to get our appetizer and once we finished it, they brought out our entrees. We'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu!
