Thornton Gas station in Posen stole money off my debit card while paying at the pump. Beware of the scam!!! I only needed gas for my gallon can, not my vehicle. It took $68.31 from my account and all I need was $4 worth to take care of lawn work. They called it pre-authorization hold but never have this ever happened. Thieves😡🤬 I heard of $1 pre-authorization but not whatever amount they feel like taking!!! Now I have to wait on my money.

I am a regular Thorton's customer at the 14840 S Western Ave., Posen, IL location. Parking here is impossible because ALL of the trucks pictured here take up the entire customer truck parking lot.Every time I come here to park these same trucks are here parked in the same spaces, EVERY TIME. I even see the same dropped trailers, which is already against company policy, occupying some of these spaces. You also have non-highway trucks parking here every day.When I come on a weekday, in place of these trucks are the drivers' personal vehicles. AGAIN, making parking impossible. There is a pay-to-park lot, behind the customer lot for long term parking. They don't want to use that lot because they have to pay. There are two offsite private lots within blocks of this location with plenty of parking. But, again, they have to pay monthly rent to park in those locations.According to your company policy, customer parking is for CUSTOMERS ONLY. All others must use the pre-paid parking.These drivers are resident squatters looking for free parking at the expense of your paying customers. I have complained numerous times to the store management team about the problem and it almost always falls on deaf ears.But if I or any other driver parks anywhere other than the designated spaces, they are quick to come out and threaten the driver with towing their vehicle and/or being escorted off the property by police. Yet I'm a regular customer at your store. And this is how regular customers are treated?

I really truthfully like this Thornton's, I do, but I feel like they need new management. I don't usually come in there because of at the registers bad attitudes from them ladies, they don't like to help you out as far as how is your day going, you find everything ok, or just a welcome to Thornton's. I just left there about 30 minutes ago I was dealing with a cashier I believed name Irene Puerto Rican lady and another black lady, rolling there eyes at me like please do come in the store all because the registers were down so had to use the self checkout which is fine. I asked for a pack of cigarettes, attitudes, I believe newer strict management needs to be, because it's crazy in this world and I feel like no one safe until the wrong someone walking in won't be pretty which is not safe and I really hate that and I hope not. I kept my cool though!!!

Went in this morning to get cigarettes and cashier didn't great me asked for ID eventhough I have a gray beard and told me she will scan my license next time to make sure it's not expired next time. She was ignorant, that was at 7 :50 this morning. She needs an attitude adjustment. Ignorance makes you lose customers

Nice big new truck stop/travel center. Nice cashiers! CAT scale, pay to park, the bathrooms have a weird blacklight in there so you can't really see stains... the coffee was good!Get the Southwest Beef Burrito!!! yummmm

TERRIBLE customer service. You can’t ask a simple question about gas without an attitude being given to you. It’s like they don’t wanna do the job they sign up for. Then they take no accountability.

It’s like Walmart in a gas station😍. The men’s lighting was lit like a club which gives dope vibes. There is a wide variety of snacks and plenty of healthy options as well. The staff was hospitable and they gave a courtesy condiment. I will be coming here regularly.

Can someone clean the microwave, every time I go there it’s disgusting. Looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. There’s so much food build up, paper towels stuck to food in there. Makes me feel like they have roaches

Don’t Buy Gas Here They Steal Your Money. Employees are rude sit around and talk by the coffee machines all day. You ask for 50.00 dollars on a Pump They Give You 5.00 and Money Never Returns. Call The Store And Their Rude No Managers Available. This Place Is A Scam And For The Rich To Get Richer. Stick To Your Neighborhood Gas Station.

Restrooms are a disgrace, and I seen the management walking around talking on the phone. Really, walk on in to the bathrooms and clean them up, during a lunch crowd too. Right off a major Express way.

We are so excited to have this gas station especially around the corner from us. Unfortunately our 1st time visit wasn't a pleasant one. Seemed busy as expected on "GRAND OPENING" week. Luckily when we walked up to the register there was no one there but 2 employees. As we made our selections and headed to the register, one of the employees told us to step to the register (which was a self checkout). I started to scan my items and the 1st item said not found. I scanned it again and it went thru. I continued with the rest of my items. At the end I put my card thru and it was stuck needing assistance to clear the item that did not scan. I explained to the other employee it was the ice cream but I had re-scanned it. My point of this review is how do you have 2 employees and none of them would just take me at a regular register. I get it nowadays it's so easy to use self checkouts but reality people still seek that acknowledgement. I would appreciated a welcoming feeling especially for a new location. Clearly it's a training opportunity but this is an excellent location to give bad service. Maybe I'll try it again but right now it definitely left me a sensation not to go back.

I found this location on an app I use to locate truck stops and parking. It referenced paid, and possibly reserved, parking.When I called to ask if they had reserved parking, the young woman who answered didn't know. After asking and returning to the phone. She says, "you come in and pay and get a ticket." Again, I asked, "can I reserve a space ahead of time?"She said nothing. Just hung up the phone!! Great phone etiquette!! Guess I'll have to call the corporate office to get my questiin answered.

Some employees are very rude, I asked about fax service and with an attitude was told “we don’t do that here”. I needed extra bills (paperwork) to deliver my load, I usually use Pilot or loves etc for but Thortons was on my way to the costumer. And yes we paid for fax service at other truck stops not looking for free stuff.. but if you could use the thortons points for this that would be nice.

I really like Thornton's gas. My only complaint is when I pay at the pump is because it's a convenience for me. I don't like that I can't get my receipt at the pump. I have arthritis and it's very inconvenient to have to walk inside and stand in a line.

This gas station is the best one in a 10 mile radius. If you're a trucker, it has parking and a weight station. For everyday people, it has a lot of gas pumps and a nice layout for getting in and out.

I was parked on the paid parking lot for 2 days . We got about 9-10 inches of snow. Nobody plow a snow at all. Many drivers had problems to get out or use a gas pump. Not the best way to treat your customers.

I love thortons and I always go but one thing that bothers me about this place is how the two price signs show two different gas rates. One says Unleaded is 2.29 and the other says Unleaded is 2.23. I hope they fix it soon!

I will never shop here again!!! I've had 3 separate bad experiences. The cashiers have such an attitude problem! I work with people, and I've worked in a gas station. Customer service will always impact the business.

Great place all around . Food, gas , snacks , and a wide variety of soft drinks. Nice large store , very clean and very operational . Great job people!!! 👍👍👍
