Always had good clearance items but not so much lately, never much trouble with checking out BUT I do get irritated when the workers will literally cut you off to grab items for online shoppers or curb side and take the last item OR just shove their huge shopping cart infront of where your looking so they can grab stuff first, I'm thinking " ok I'm literally in the store shopping for myself, it would be nice if I can do that without getting pushed out of the way for curbside orders!"

You get very good quality clothing and numerous varieties options for women . Check out on their clearance sales everyone you visit, you will definitely find atleast a 2 that you want to buy right away.They should bring in more stylish clothing options for Men too.For Christmas they got plenty of beautiful options in chocolates.The prices are less than usual. They are already packed for gifts. I have attached some photos here

Update: 2/12/2024 -- went here to get some groceries and such. I wanted to get some cologne, which is now locked up at the Pontiac store. I activated the "Push for Assistance" button located on the case and waited and waited and waited. After more than 5 minutes, I left the area. Went to self-checkout and told associate that I had waited to get assistance in the cologne area and no one came. She stated, "Oh, yeah, I don't think we have anybody in HBA right now." So, apparently if you need something in a locked case and "push for assistance", no one covers that call if the person is off. Makes sense. Guess I'll just get those items elsewhere moving forward. I understand the concept of locking those items that seem to "walk off", but if you are going to do that, you need to have a workable plan to promptly get customers access to those items. Beyond that, other WalMart stores don't lock up those items.This is primarily a review of WalMart's Order Pick Up service; we have used Order Pick-Up numerous times. Not sure who is in charge of picking groceries, but a few words of advice for other customers -- don't order fruit or eggs. We have had numerous occasions where fruit that was picked had mold (strawberries) or was excessively bruised (apples). The pickers don't seem to take much care with picking what is actually fresh. It seems that they see it as a way to "move" fruit that might otherwise end up trashed with the hopes that a customer won't notice or that they won't take the time to process a return. Then, even once returned, you still have to go in at some point to purchase or replace with decent fruit/vegetables. We have had the same experience with cartons of eggs... have had at least 3x that eggs picked were cracked, like they didn't even bother to look at them; on one occasion, they were all cracked except 2 or 3 when we got home to unload. Beyond that, we've also had a few times that we've been given dented canned goods or items that were expired or very near expiration. Again, seems that the pick-up service becomes an off-loading service for less than optimal groceries. We do like the pick-up service, but have had to be extra vigilant about what we order using the service. We feel like we have to be picky about what we setup for pick-up vs still having to go in to the store to purchase, and it shouldn't be that way. This is either a matter of poor training for the grocery pickers or poor management for allowing or encouraging the off-loading of less than optimal groceries through the pick-up service.

Absolutely the worst Walmart I have ever visited in my life as far as customer service of the employees.First stopped at the deli and lady was probably one of the most rude individuals I have ever met. She snapped “do you want anything?” and before my son (10 yrs old ) could even reply she literally said “no? Ok.” Then proceeded to turn her back to us and pretend to go back to “work” doing nothing. My husband said “ma’am about how many potato wedges are in a small and she rolled her eyes and said “I have no idea. However many will fit in this cup.”After all that, we proceeded through the store only to see unsmiling faces, no one asked if we were finding everything ok and everyone looked absolutely miserable. It was sad at best. The lady checking us out looked like she’d rather be getting frontal lobotomy. I’m not sure if everyone was just hung over from new years or if this is the daily life of these people? I felt like I needed an antidepressant after leaving there! And then there was the parking lot….driver’s speeding through pedestrian walkways and didn’t bother to stop for pedestrians and almost ran us over.On a positive…THE ONLY POSITIVE… store was very clean and quiet, probably bc no one wants to even enter that place.

This Pontiac store is always clean and well organized, the staff are professional and courteous. I prefer shopping here over the Bloomington and Normal stores in my area.

Customer service over the phone is TERRIBLE. Was dropped on 1st attempt. Put on hold for 20 minutes on 2nd call ... yes I am persistent. Final call literally could not get someone to pick up. No excuse ... just poor performance. To be specific this review is related to the Pontiac Illinois location.

I put my list together with the Walmart app. I filtered out items that were not available. Then I got to the store, and almost half the stuff I wanted was oos!!

The absolute worst in over the phone customer service. I was having problems with their online purchasing. Simply called and asked if they were having a problem with online. As usual... Put on hold and no one ever got back on the phone. This is by no means the first time. I went to Amazon because of this, thought I would try Walmart again....ha. Guess they don't want me to buy their tires. There are other places. This is at Pontiac, Illinois Walmart. Can anyone there answer a simple question ❓

Bought saints row reboot yesterday on disc and my ps4 said disc can't be read go and exchange it last night for another copy same issue disc can't be read but the other game I got yesterday works fine so now I'm stuck with a game that doesn't work

I called Pontiac Illinois Walmart and asked for some chicken meals to be made an hour to an hour and a 1/2 later. they told me they have to have 24 hour notice, but yet they have a sign that advertises meals and a hot case, but only if it's already made, can you apparently get it?

Very expansive, clean store. Helpful and available staff at this location. I had an especially pleasant associate in the pharmacy, Steve somebody.I always use self check out and the area was big enough not to be congested, so I got in & out pretty quick. Nice store.

Generally well stocked. Recent remodel makes it difficult to locate some items; many things are located FAR from where they used to be. aisles go different directions and many don't go through the store without having to zigzag all over. Almost all checkout lanes are self checkout. Many are not open and there are long waiting lines. Used to shop there often, but now I feel it's easier to go to the grocery store and Walgreens. Prices keep going up. If I have to check myself out, and hunt for needed items, I feel prices should compensate for that. Very disappointed in changes.

I've always told family and friends that we have the best Walmart here in Pontiac! The remodeling was frustrating but now that things have settled down I am very impressed with how well everything is being kept in stock. So clean, friendly and whenever I ask for help to find something they always walk me to where the item is. Best WM around👍

Walmart doesn't care about its customers anymore. The Pontiac Illinois store is so screwed up. All of this re arranging of the store makes shopping very unpleasant. I used to go here because I could get all of my items in a half hour. Now it is so messed up that I go buy minimal items so I can get out of this place. I will NEVER...use self checkout. When they get rid of cashiers, I will no longer shop in a Walmart store. Or use Walmart online.
