The staff of Ace in Pontiac, Illinois was attentive to the if needed 1 customer at a time. Clean,Well organized arrangement of items. Next.time we go 🚶‍♀️ I will or my wife/partner can gather names as we shop and buy.

This store is fantastic. The shelves are all neat and fully stocked. Tina, the manager, really knows her store and has a vast knowledge of "how-to" on practically any project. Her assistant, Ted, is also very helpful and knowledgeable. More than once I've presented them with a seemingly hopeless repair/project, and Ted will take all the time necessary to help me gather all the parts I need, as well as how to do it properly. He has the patience of a saint. They give the personalized service you deserve, unlike the bigger box stores. Ace really is the place!

As they say, Ace is the place! Have been here many times over the years. It's a bit further away from me, so I have often already been to a few other places in town before ending up at Ace. And, when the other places in town don't seem to have what I need, usually Ace does. Generally, those other places will even say, "Hmmm... we don't have that, but you might be able to find that at Ace."

They're pretty good about having what you need. The store is just so small and jam packed with items. I try not to go in there if I don't have to, but it seems like every time I take my "significant other" there, it always takes forever for him to come out! Very frustrating! I assume it's because its so small, everything is squeezed in there, so when you're looking for something specific, you have to look hard. They only have 2 cash registers and if there's a line, it does seem to take longer than what you think it would. Js 🤷‍♀️

Every visit is like having your own project consultant. Prices are higher than some other places but you end up saving money at the End by not buying things you don't need. Great for paint.

It's never a quick in and out unfortunately. Place is cram packed with tons of stuff, kinda claustrophobic in a way and the line typically runs to the back of the store and they don't put prices on a lot of stuff so if you want that fountain you'll have to wait until someone is available that knows and they are rarely there

Plenty of parking, remarkably helpful staff, have always stood behind everything they sell. Not a real big hardware store, but they seem to have whatever is needed for the home or the workbench.A lot of professional contractors are there, some retired contractors work there a d many still active contractors shop there (especially in the morning) so a lot of food advice is freely a available there

Never disappointed, everyone there has always been helpful. All the products I have received their have been great. No problems. Plus I have had no problem with the parking. They also have handicap parking at the door.

Ted helped me convert a hose connection on a sump pump to fit my pond connection. So nice to have someone here in town that had what we needed and knew what I needed to make everything fit together! Thank you!!

You better hope Stan,Dave,Ted or Georgia is working or you're in trouble . Then I'd give it 5 stars. There's one cashier that is particularly rude and impatient. I think the next time I see her at the counter I'll go to big r so I don't get my day ruined.

Had a couple extra house keys made. Very fast, but it cost more than what they quoted when I checked out. It was worth a little more, not to have to go in a big box store.

Well-stocked Ace hardware. Staff here could not be more friendlier helpful. there are always able to help me find what I need if not they point me in the right direction. Only drawback is there a little cluttered in there fairly small store.

Had few bad experiences with two of ladies who work on the registers, separate occasions, walk in behind a few people, everyone got greeted but me i guess their are not used to deal with that many minorities, once in the register didn't even looked at me ,too bad is the only hardware store in town otherwise I'd took my business somewhere else. Over price.

This is an update to my previous posting. These people are amazing, needed supplies to replace a water heater, the guy knew everything I needed before I did!! All my home project will include Ace Hardware Pontiac.
