Polo animal hospital does a great job. I have been bringing my 2 cats to them for their check up and shots. They always treat the cats with kindness and love. I have also boarded my cats here when I go on long vacations. I trust polo animal hospital very much.

Last week my girl Daphne was taken to the vet with what we thought was a UTI they quickly noticed her temperature was rising and they did the proper exams and found out she had pyometra. They took such wonderful care of our furbaby. She is home now in recovering why I highly recommend this veterinary clinic they are very compassionate and understanding.

I took my CANE CORSO here the staff was wonderful. The vet she was rude does not like the breed. So told me to find another vet. She was scared to death of her. N my dog is very friendly. BUT Her rudeness and and aggaront attitude was uncalled for..

I love this place. I am in the military and my parents watch my dogs while I'm away. My pups aren't the easiest and one has separation anxiety issues. I emailed the vet and they are beyond helpful.

This is a very nice clinic with a friendly and attentive staff. I have an elderly kitty in decline, and Dr. Roberts has been very sympathetic and helpful keeping my kitty comfortable . I've had to make a few trips to their office and each time it's been a good experience. Everyone there is very caring!!

I absolutely love Polo vet. I drive about an hour each way and refuse to take my 10 cats or puppy anywhere else. The staff is very friendly to people and animals. Dr. Robert's helped to save an orphaned kitten I found who appeared to have some sort of trauma/injury. The whole staff took turns kitty sitting and doting on her while she got better and stronger every day. Without their help I am certain she would not have survived.We also use Polo Animal Hospital for our 2 dogs, barn cats and large animals (feeder cattle, cow/calves and sheep) Dr. Roberts, Dr. Baker, Dr. Pfeiffer and the entire staff are amazing.

Overall, I think that I have gotten pretty exceptional service from Polo Animal Hospital. However, I had mentioned three different times over the course of three months that my puppy was having itchy skin. It seemed like the issue was just brushed off the first two times. Finally, after trying my own home remedies for her, and still not seeing relief, I made another appointment and mentioned for the third time, that she is having itchy skin. She was finally diagnosed with a Staph infection, and an eye infection. That probably means that my baby had the skin infection for three whole months. As a puppy parent, I feel awful. Though everyone here has been nice, they didn't seem to listen to my concerns, the first few times, and for that I am frustrated.

Dr. Roberts, and dr. Baker, and the staff are excellent people. They care about your animals in the understand your feelings and your love that you have. Without them I smash would not be alive as he was seriously injured a month ago. They did reconstructive surgery on him and he has recovered amazingly well. I will not go anywhere else for my pets

Recently had our 9 month old puppy jump off the couch and injure his leg. I called the office and they worked him in quickly! He did fracture his leg and we were able to be referred to an orthopedic surgeon within the week! They have taken very good care of our little fur babies.

I love the assistant vet, but the actual vet is new, rude, and doesn't seem to care at all about how he says things. He doesn't listen, and hasn't said one nice thing the times I've been there. He claims he tries to educate, but education first starts with teaching, which does not include shaming someone for not knowing something. Telling multiple pet owners that the dog wasn't being cared for, even though you knew it was because the kid didn't know it, was just terrible and unprofessional! No, we did not receive an apology or anything from him. We miss the old vet!

definitely the best vet in the area. i’ve taken my pets to many vets in the past and have never received as great service as i do at polo. excellent staff. they seem to genuinely care about your pets and not just their paycheck.

Calling it a hospital is a far stretch. I thought my dog had ingested bedding with a possible blockage. He had vomited and lost appetite. When I called Polo, they sent me to Rockford stating they didn’t have the equipment to check for the blockage. Polo said it would require an ultra sound. So I took him to Rockford. Rockford conducted an X-ray (which Polo has), and found no obvious signs of blockage. Rockford found he had a parasite instead and prescribed Panacur. Being proactive, I called Polo for my other dog (who has no symptoms) and asked if they could check his stool for a particular parasite. Polo stated they don’t have that capability and would have to send it to a lab. I then asked how much would the charge be for Panacur. They failed to give me a straight answer and said I would have to bring him in. That in itself is asinine. I’ve purchased Nexguard flea and tick meds from Polo, and they never ask for him to come in so the doctor can check for flee and ticks. Don’t waste your time or money at Polo. Find a reputable Vet that will work with you.
