We shop at Rural King weekly, and I also use Rural King for work purposes, the line of work I'm in - their prices are great! The only thing I would change is 90% of the time I have to call customer service, I am left on hold. I stay on hold for a minimum of 15 minutes before I call back. Your customers in front of you should be just as important as the ones on the phone.

This place has it all, interesting store that caters to everyone. Good prices and essentials for people living in the country. You can get anything from chicks, ducklings and kits to clothing. The mulch prices are the best in town.

This has been my first trip to rural King, mostly as part of an acclimation and familiarization process, and expected to be my first of many.I had a little trouble figuring out the lay out. Not everything made sense to me, but I'm sure with further familiarization it'll become second nature.The prices and selection seem great, from baby chicks to baby desert eagles, there are plenty of chicks and guns to go around.I'm looking forward to visiting rural King in the future for my farming needs.Unfortunately, I do now have to warn you that there isn't always a forklift operator on duty, so call first if you need something from the yard.Update: I now make at least weekly trips to rural king. They're especially good for feed and firearms, along with basic farm needs.

The man working at the gun counter was very rude. I had a phone call that lasted less than 15 seconds & then I just looked at a message a minute later. The man lost his cool on me because I looked at my phone & kicked me out using negative words, no warning or nothing to cause him to kick me out or to lose his cool. I was going to legally get almost $200 worth of ammo for the range later today (10/20/23). Good way to lose customers in general!

The bunnies, chicks, and free popcorn are total draws. I love how affordable everything is too. Makes me feel at home. I always look forward to a trip to Rural King!!

There were no cases of water on the floor. I asked an associate if they had any and she checked for me. They brought a pallet out in less than 5 minutes. Thank you do much!

I went there to get 6 bags of mulch. They never ask if you need help with loading, they call an associate right away to do the work for you!

Love the selection of Old Time Country sodas and candies plus they have a really good selection of firearms at a really good price considering they don't have any real competition they could charge much more when I'm glad that they don't. Thanks for being a close neighbor with great prices.God Bless-

Yesterday (10/20/2023) I went here mid to late morning to look to buy a firearm legally with my 7yr old daughter (spending some time with my little girl before work). Instantly I was racially abused because I’m African American. Being called the N word, told that all N words are criminals, I should be in the field working as a slave, & I should self harm in front of my daughter so she knows we’re the wrong race of people. I’m a law abiding American citizen, have my foid & ccw, & have a very respectable job as an engineer. I have it all on recording with audio from my body cam I also wear. I don’t know the name of the white man behind the counter is but he needs to get fired! I do have an appointment Monday with my lawyer to seek legal advice on this matter & store. What also is concerning, he was selling 6 guns & at least 5,000 rounds of ammunition to a man without question but because of my race & being a father to my child I got targeted for no reason other than walking up to the counter to look at what’s in stock with my foid out.Stay away from this location at all costs please!

The staff and checkers st Rural King are ALWAYS warm, kind and chatty. Makes it really nice to run in there for something. I'm also always struck by the variety of goods they have! Being new to rural living, it's kind of like an "experience" to go in and just walk around looking at all the different things they have. Nice store!

Came here an hour before closing and I was looking into buying a chainsaw. It was for a family member who lives out of state and I was leaving the next morning. There was no one working in that department but I came across Tim and he was more than willing to help me out. He was so knowledgeable and took his time explaining to me the diferente types of chainsaws and even suggesting items for safety precautions. He was so patient and kind and I couldn’t be more grateful to Tim for all his help. I never really leave reviews but when someone really stands out to me especially willing to help before closing time I definitely feel the need to leave it. Hopefully management sees this and appreciate him for being such a wonderful employee.

Buyer BEWARE! Don’t count on staff being able to answer any questions or have any bit of knowledge. Purchased 10 chickens and 2 ducks. Asked where the duck starter feed was and after 5 minutes lady told us they were sold out, but she saw we already had chicken starter in our basket and said it’s the same thing and that we could feed it that. Get home, kids name the ducks and next afternoon they come home from school to dead ducks. My wise mother read the bag, and yes we are guilty as well, but after her seemingly confident suggestion to feed them chick starter we didn’t think twice. Come to find out, that was medicated food and can kill ducks.Haven’t been back since!

Used to sell 12 pack coke for $5.99, assumed cost savings came from what was not being spent on their disaster of a parking lot, which was fair. Come back today and its now $7.49 more expensive then at Walmart and their parking lot is still garbage. Guess it saves me a trip now.

Fantastic place. Vane here for chickens. You don't know what breeds they will have in stock, but they do get some fun and unique ones. Good selection of smmo and guns too

Went for a ride in the country, came upon rural king in Plano. They are similar to farm and fleet but have a few different items.
