If I could rate this place a zero, I would. Been going here for 10 years, made an appointment for 3/9, appointment booked, get a phone call a few hours later asking if we would like to take our 4 1/5 lb toy poodle to another groomer.Perplexed by this question we asked why would we do that when we made arrangements and booked with them earlier that day, with no reason given except for word fumbling and evasive answering. This is when I started recording the conversation. I asked specifically if they were telling me that they wouldn’t take my dog in on the 3/9, a simple yes or no answer that they couldn’t answer.Apparently the young girl at the front desk was tasked by a groomer to call us that refused to give us her name, was upset because we voiced our concern some time ago about my poodles tail Pom that was cut off by them at a prior groom almost a year ago.I stated that their mistake, that we pay for with a tip on top of it is not my fault but is on them to make right going forward. This is not a free service, we pay an average of $70 every time we go there and we’ve been going there for 10 years without issue.The groomer, who wouldn’t say her name as well, was very rude and just ignorant and said that we came in there screaming at them about the Pom, which is untrue. Then hung up on us. This is when I gave up, I’m done.Love something or a service tell a friend, get bad service or product, tell the world. We asked for the owner to reach out to us regarding this situation with no response what so ever. I will tell everyone I know about this place and to avoid. I might post the recording of the conversation on social media, but honestly I don’t want to give this place a second of my thought or my time.

Just had my puppy groomed there and even though he was rambunctious, they were able to do a good job with him and he wasn’t traumatized. It was only his second grooming. The first at another groomer was awful.

My dog Jakers and I absolutely adore the owner as well as the staff that work here. The atmosphere is clean and all of the staff look genuinely happy to be there. Bottomline, my dog is always excited to go and get groomed and the girls do an amazing job making him look dapper.

I was sooooo thrilled with grooming services for my toy golden doodle Indy!This was a perfect example of great “small business “ etiquette from polite and thorough communication & speedy ( same day) service to a fabulous groom! Being new to the area and a first timer, I couldn’t be more pleased and 100% recommend PFP!!!

Charged $150 for 2 hours of work and left spots of fur sticking out all over the dogs head Each eye was groomed different! One eye clipped open one left furry. Never washed whole head. Very disappointed. Will not return or recommend. Sad cause the first time there they did a great job

We just moved to the area and needed a new groomer for two shelties. The team was friendly and gentle with our pups. They listened when I asked to keep them looking natural and my shelties haven’t looked this good in years! Will be going back regularly.

Not happy with customer service and they are cold people. They charged me twice $10 over for my dog not behaving while being groomed. So I took him at another place to see if that’s the case and the other place told me that my dog was great and sweet so maybe the groomer needs to learn how to groom certain dogs. Will not be going back

Gizmo:At other grooming places, we noticed that Gizmo would come home sad, as if they hurt him. With Purrfect Fur, we have had no issues like this.Thank you!

Three years ago I had difficulty with communicating on when to pickup my dogs. Since then I have had a positive experience with the staff. They let me know as soon as my dogs are ready, are very kind to my dogs, and do an excellent job with the grooming.

I come here to use the self wash on my dogs! They are always very friendly and attentive. The shampoo and conditioner is good quality and I always have enough towels! I highly recommend using this place if you need somewhere to self wash your dog, shop local!!!!

My puppy rolled in something really nasty in the yard and I needed a dog wash fast. These guys were available with very little notice and set me up. They provided multiple different shampoos, whichI definitely needed. Could not have been more friendly or helpful. Will for sure go back here. Also hooked me up with a 20% off coupon for the attached pet supply store.

My husband and I went here for a quick nail trim for our sweet puppy. The groomer, Amanda was too busy socializing with another groomer to greet our dog. She simply picked him up and hooked his leash on the grooming table. Watching this, I immediately turned to my husband and said, “I’m not impressed.” Due to her lack of attention as evidenced by looking at her coworker, she clipped a part of his toe/paw and he began yelping. We started to yell “stop, we’re done” and she completely ignored us, kept clipping and conversing while he was crying. It was a surreal moment. The young lady at the front desk had enough sense to go get our dog as she noticed he was suffering. Not so much as an “I’m sorry.” We get that mistakes happen; had she paused and comforted our dog in the moment, it would be a different story. The lack of compassion and professionalism was unacceptable. We spoke with the owner regarding our concern/experience; while she apologized, she also shared Amanda is her “favorite person and loves animals so much.” Funny, since she treated ours like an inanimate object. If you consider your pet to be a member of your family, please find a different groomer!!!

This was probably the worst place to bring a dog and we will never be returning and I will be sharing that this is a terrible place. I witnessed the man dragging my large dog and choking him, letting him cry. They did a very poor job grooming him and let him sit for 45 minutes while i kept calling asking when he was done. I repeatedly called and they kept saying 10 more minutes, so i just showed up there and they said oh he's been waiting for 45 minutes. Obviously your business does not communicate with each other and that is terrible. I should have read the reviews on yelp because they are all terrible. We've brought him here a few times and will never be back, and most likely will be reporting to the BBB. Terrible customer service and terrible at grooming, and terrible at treating animals the right way.

We decided to take our dog here to get groomed. We told the owner and the person we dropped him off with to not put him in a cage for any reason. Our dog has bad anxiety and a heart condition. I was assured he would not be caged. We dropped him off at 9:15am. Over 2 hours later, we got a call saying the power went out and they wouldn't be able to finish him. I assumed he got a bath and the haircut wouldn't be finished since it had been 2 hours. We picked him up and nothing was done to him. He didn't get a bath, and they didn't start on the haircut. I had to call to find out what happened and where he was put for 2 hours. I was upset finding out he was in a cage the whole time. I understand things happen that are out of anyone's control, like the power going out. I was upset with the way it was handled. I should've gotten a call before they decided to put him in a cage. I would have gladly picked him up and dropped him back off when the power was fixed. There was no consideration for my requests or his well being.

They have self wash and I'm telling you it's the best in all of Plainfield The shampoo they use is amazing they also give you face soap and conditioner. I am a groomer myself and that's the most important part of the bath is great products. The water pressure is amazing to get your dog thoroughly rinsed, and their dryer for the dogs has amazing air pressure also which is very important so I highly recommend this place for any grooming and self wash needs. The girls in there are so helpful and kind and friendly .

I took my pup to get shaved, his second time because his hair kept getting giant mats and we couldn't brush them out. He came back patchy and his paws were covered in cuts as well as his balls. My poor baby might even have an infection in his private parts and he is so uncomfortable and in pain. I don't think we will be returning, the other place that shaved had no problem, not patchy and minor cuts. I don't know what happened but my pup has been in pain ever since.

Purfect Fur Pets is a great pet groomer. The staff are friendly and take good care of your pet. They offer services ranging from nail trimming up to complete spa packages for your pet. They also have a self service dog wash. They share space with a pet supply store, a doggie daycare, an animal shelter, and a vet. One stop shopping for your pet's needs.

I recommended this place for my friend to bring her wheaten terrier and she was specific to just trim a little around the ears and whoever the genius groomer is shaved it!!! Called them back but of course owner isn’t there and groomer is gone! AVOID this place!
