It's always cleaned, well stocked, and well maintained. The store is large and there are hardly ever any containers to maneuver around compared to some of the stores you go into. Most of the staff is friendly, but there are a few people there who make you feel like you're burdening them with your mere presence or they just do the bare minimum to interact with you, which makes it super uncomfortable. I prefer to use the self-checkout there because it requires the least interaction when there are those staff members. The self-checkout only takes cards anytime I've been there. They are pretty prompt about checking you out so you're not waiting at a register or running around the store looking for someone to ring you out.

They closed at 12 due to heat, its 82 outside. Plus it a store they should have AC. Just a bunch of people who don't want to do their job

This chain store has become an important part of our monthly needs. We are retired and must stretch our money on our fixed income as most retired people do.We were able to save about fifty dollars today and the employees of every store around our area are always kind and helping to me as a disabled man sometimes I need a little more help from them.

Short walk in an out, cashier always on duty. Get most of our dog food and treats here, great prices good selection. Of everyday items. Much more convenient than big box stores that wear you out looking for what they moved since you been there last.

Sometimes the store is messy, boxes always stacked in aisles. Aisles are too narrow. Store is too small for all that they want to stock. Parking lot is very dangerous hard to walk through the gravel to get into the store. Too much stuff stacked in front of store, it makes it hard to pass someone coming out with a cart. staff are friendly, good prices.

Workers were busily filling shelves with new stock. Store was clean and neat. Employees were very friendly and helpful. I found what I needed. Everyone was following social distancing guidelines.

Well they're rearranging the store, again. If you're looking for small finishing nails kit they've decided to move it from the hardware to the cat food aisle. Great job corporate. You'll either keep folks in the store longer looking for things in random places or drive them away out of frustration.

Amazing customer service , very helpful, love going there. Has everything I needed in multiple brands , you can pick what is most helpful or interests you . The sale on Saturday and the weekly clearance is amazing

Very pleasant employee tried helping us find a battery for a film camera. No luck, probably have to order it. No one uses film anymore. Made suggestions where we might find one. Thank you!

Best Dollar General ever!! We have no Walmart in Pinckneyville so the Dollar General is our go to store! It is convenient & they seem to have almost everything we need. On top of that everyone is so friendly & helpful at our store here in Pinckneyville!!

I mean seriously who in their right mind doesn't like to save money? Why pay 4 bucks at store where the product is 100% the same as dollar Generals but 2 bucks higher. That doesn't make it better it makes it more expensive.

Can't get thru isles because of associates stocking shelves .hire midnight crew.so people don't have to walk all over the place and then take there items to your cart..people are not friendly.
