Very clean and well-organized. I got an extremely good deal on a power tool. Staff was friendly.Checkout took too long. There were 5 or less people shopping. The checkout area was swarming with associates. And yet it took about 10 minutes to purchase one tool.The selection of products seems very good to my untrained eye.For several years the parking lot was very poorly lighted and for that reason a little sketchy-feeling. I don't know if that has ever been improved.Rural King in Peru, Illinois is a good place in this community to purchase farming supplies, tools, pet supplies, clothing, etc. The closest similar store is Tractor King 20 miles away in Princeton. And compared to Tractor Supply, Rural King is an enormous store.

Very bad customer service the manager treated his employee at the gun department extremely horrible, she was very rude to the gentleman helping us We felt bad for him but also very uncomfortable the way she directed her self to us we were ask to come in the next day to pick up our merchandise that we purchased from them the next day because they would be closing in 25 minutes. I use to love shopping here but now with this company experience I will take my money somewhere else .

Popcorn machine was having troubles as I walked in. They got it resolved. I've been to several Rural kings and this one is well run . Parking lot is small with use of inventory space.

The folks behind the weapon counter all need raises. They are all great and extremely helpful towards for first time weapon owners. I had one gentleman help me purchase a Remington 870. I have been to a couple gun stores in the area and by far he was the most helpful and kind weapon salesman I have ever met. I will most likely purchase another firearm from this location purely based on the customer service.

This store is AMAZING!!! They have everything you could EVER need!!! I stopped here for my fishing license, but ended up looking at every aisle!! I wish I had one of these near me but I will DEFINITELY come back here every time I come out for my vacations and my long weekends!!

I love going to our local Rural King every week when I take my son to his Men's Bowling League across the street.Making a beeline to the free, fresh popcorn machine, I fill up a small bag; munching while I shop.Every month or so I restock up on Sea Salt Caramel Tops and Natural Cashews.They carry many items for farmers as well as pet supplies and apparel - with a large section of jeans.

Went there for two items they were out of them. They say they don't do rainchecks. I ask the manager guy tosee if the other store would have them. Said he could not. I bought many items over the years Wish theyupdate there policy.

Nice store, friendly staff and good conversation. Been to one other and what a difference. The one in state college Pa does not even compare to this one. Pennsylvania one no respect and all had the I Don't give a zzzt attitude. This one comes with respect conversation and the willingness to put forward help if needed.

I was out visiting family from NC. Needed to bring my utility trailer back with me, bought 2 new ST175/80D13 trailer tire/rim combo. Well within first 100 miles of my journey back, one of the tires procured a huge bulge. Threw the rough spare on & made it back. When I contacted the store about this defective unit, Matt & his team went to work for me, sending me a brand unit to my home in NC! Outstanding customer service, wonderful communication, and down right excellent problem solving! Everyone deserves a bonus haha! Thanks again Matt & all who had a hand in the situation! Hoorah!! I was in the pet department, I asked an older woman that was working there for some help, she was very rude, just pointed at things very irritated, A younger girl that also worked in that department came up to me and asked if I needed any help, she walked around with me. Explain some of the products, that’s the way it should be, they should remove people that are bitter and hate their job And take it out on the customers 😕
