Great store! Half our groceries were added to our list just watching their sign out in front! Whoever is in charge of the sign should know it’s great advertisement for their store. Makes me hungry just watching the sign! ESP pics of their butterfly shrimp from the deli and sweet corn!!!

Have been coming to this location since before it was a Berkots, it still seems like the same store and I love that it is basically all the same and is as great as it ever was.

This store is very poorly ran. Always have to check the dates mor so than a typical grocery store. Last time I was there all the lunchables were out of date by many days and had mold growing on the cheese. Never have gotten good meat from here. They always lock the door before their listed closing time. Wish another grocery company would buy this place out. It is convenient but I’d rather drive to the next town then go here.

I love Berkots since everyone seems nice and the food is fresh. What I considered outstanding was when an employee from the meat isle found me in the isles and delivered me a shrimp bucket that I thought was out of stock. She went out of her way to check, fill the bucket with fresh shrimp, and find me as well while I was browsing. It's even better because it's a mother's day item since my ma really enjoys their shrimp

Employees are always friendly, helpful, if they aren't sure about an answer then they will find out. They pay attention & work towards good customer service everyday. A comfortable, neighbor home grocery store fir me & my family. Im happy to clme to Berkots. Good variety of products, produce is always fresh, meats & fish offer choices. Good sales for items they are.needed everyday & not just odd hoaxes. For a smaller town area & with Walts in Beecher, Berkots is a good competor. I work in Beecher and have driven to Kankakee on RT @17 through Momence & I can go to Berkots on that road as well.

We Catered Christmas Eve's dinner this year...I mean there was a lot of food. And the ladies in the deli were absolutely fantastic! And soooo busy...if they were feeling a certain way no one could tell. Thank you to you fabulous people! You guys were great the food was great we would definitely recommend you 😀All the employees there were so nice!!

I like the place, good local store but it has always had one issue. Big lines with little space for a lines. They should push the cash reg backwards 2-4ft or more toward the ice freezer and would allow for more space instead of a traffic jam of carts. This been a issue for years. Just disappointing to see 7ft ish behind the cash regs not being used and could be used greatly for the line issues.

Love the reward plan. Always have what I needed and handled any problem right away. No questions. I noticed a spill and got this nice young man to let him know. He has helped with everything when I am there. Still a great place to shop and save.

This store is pretty cool the staff is also very friendly and they usually have good sales prices. I love going to get my produce from the store and they always have wine and beer sales. They also have a full section that sells sandwiches and all kinds of other things as well this beats a long trip to Walmart any day.

The produce in the Peotone store leaves a lot to be desired. The steak and chicken bought today was awesome. I used to buy more there but not as good as it used to be...will not buy meat when they have a truck load sale it's been tough when on sale. Only go there for last minute food choice. Very sad would like to support local business more.

Worst grocery shopping experience ever. Though I live in Peotone, I avoid the store at all costs. Manager is rude and lacks the ability to serve customers appropriately and disregards complaints about mispriced items. Staff have a poor work ethic and verbalize annoyance in front of customers. Store layout is awful, causing customers to walk the entire periphery of the store to get to dairy/frozen (poor aisle access). Store is dirty and poorly maintained. Seriously awful.

The staff are always polite and friendly. The deli gets busy and sometimes the people ordering food are kind of rude to the employees, so you may have to bite your tongue while you're in line. The aisles are narrow, so if you're not a fan of confined spaces then you'll not dig this place. The prices are significantly higher than most other stores, but the store is located in a very small town. Surprisingly nice beer and wine selection, though. The produce is... not the best.

Berkots is ok, and since it's the closest grocery store near me, we go when we just need a few things. It's convenient, but a little pricey. The bakery goods (not talking about goods from other sources) arrange from just O.K. to pretty bad, and are limited. Their meats are ok, but don't blow your budget on them. Their hamburgers are pretty good, both the frozen pre-formed patties, plus the meat departments patties with stuff mixed in like cheddar cheese and bacon. Customer service isn't what it used to be; there are fewer employees available to answer questions or point you in the right direction. There used to be someone who could help you to your care if you needed it. But the past few times, esp. when I had some big things like a case of water, or soda, there wasn't anyone who could help. And while they are limited in what they can stock because the size of the store, they do have a good range of items.

This particular store was smaller yet packed with some surprises. I sampled the Irish banger sausage with potatoes with onions and green peppers. Very tasty yum! I found everything okay, I did get charge for some products I put back but they took care of it. My husband was good with it. Even ran into an old friend there😁

The local supermarket. Excellent meat department. The Bratwurst is as good as it gets. Juicy, tasty without overdoing it. Staff is willing to attempt to get you specialties, but are constrained by the corporate list of foods and by the rural local. This is a place to get basic foods not the fixings for a gourmet dinner party with wines for every course.

I had a good experience but my concern was at the deli. I asked the clerk guesstimating, how many tenders were in a pound and she replied.."Roughly 7 or 8." So I requested 1.5 lbs and she said no problem. I brought the bag home and to my huge disappointment, there were only 5 pieces that equaled out to 1.5 lbs. 😒 For future reference, its 3 tender pieces per lb. It's not the clerks fault but to go from "7 or 8 per lb." to only receiving 5 pieces is kind of a slap in the face.

Pretty terrible place, CHECK DATES, you’ll be lucky to get anything fresh. If you have an option to go to another store, any other store, do so. Someone else mentioned human burgers, I’ve tasted human and their burgers are not human, they’re monkey so I can understand the confusion. Stay away from their milk. I was looking for a bathroom and went in the back. They had a huge rat milking and bottling area. Rat milk is not as good as cow milk so beware. Other than those issues the place was great.

I used to love this store very friendly and helpful people but in the last month the quality of the products has severely declined. I have purchased 2 5lb packs of 80/20 hamburger and within 24-48hrs it turns completely brown also just puchased several bags of the fresh hashbrowns that you can get by the eggs and the potatoes inside where black. I am not going to be shopping there anymore.

Went to Berkot'$ store. Decided to get some deli meats. Just a word of advice to potential customers. Please make sure you are getting the correct meat. I ordered Beef meat. The lady gave me regular meat. Switch. Most stores I guess that don't particular have a overflow crowd will do that. The meat was for my Aunt. She knew it right away. One bite. She has been eating deli meat for 40 years.Scratch that advice. Just go to another store.My Aunt says, if you have to watch and make sure you are getting what you pay for-keep moving forward to a better ran store that appreciate your business.

One of the lesser Berkot's stores. It seems very dirty and grungey, with aisles that have the stranges combinations of items. Their stocking employees do not seem very knowledgeable about much in the store and often seem to avoid customers. The customers there are also not the kindest and can be highly inappropriate. Many get upset over minute aspects in their deli and are extremely rude, as well as the customers that check out. In addition to check outs, the belts at this store are far too tiny to fit a normal order of groceries on there. The cashiers are very friendly, however. I would recommend for very short shopping trips
