Don't fill your prescriptions here if you have a Hispanic last name! ... they want 10 answers yet when I fill morphine, dilaudid or Xanax for a Caucasian family they don't ask me a damn thing.

This is long, but be warned...the service at this Walgreens has completely degraded.I've been going to this pharmacy for a few years now. I'm type 1 diabetic, so it's been frequent. I recently wanted to switch my insulin from Lantus to Basaglar. I wasn't sure how much it would cost through my health insurance, so I called and spoke with someone. He told me that it would be $25.00. I went to pick it up the next day and they kept insisting that it would be $69.99. After a mess of talking to my doctor's office, etc..I spoke to someone at the Walgreens in Methodist Hospital. She wasn't sure why the other Walgreens had told me that it was $69.99 because she was showing $25.00. I went to pick it up in the next day or so and it was $25.00.Then today I went to pick up my other insulin (I have two kinds) and they had only given me 1 pen for $20.00. I have ten refills from my doctor. The first time I went to get my insulin, they gave me 5 pens (what I normally get). The second time, only 4 pens (I had thought this was strange). Then today, just the 1. I didn't end up getting it and called the Walgreens in Methodist Hospital. She told me that they would have called me first to see if I wanted to get just the 1 pen or fax my doctor for more refills, so that I could pay $20.00 for a full prescription. Exactly what I expected from Walgreens on Pioneer and did not get at all.Their incompetency is very evident. I won't be going to the pharmacy at Walgreens on Pioneer anymore. I don't trust them and neither should anyone else.

Excellent service. John Donaldson, one of the pharmacists, goes above and beyond to help customers. I had gotten extremely aggravated at another Walgreens location with poor customer service, but he's the reason I'm giving Walgreens another chance. Great guy!

Pharmacy is ridiculously slow. Wait times are at least 5x longer than any other pharmacy I have used in the past.

Check out can be slow, otherwise, it's a Walgreens much like the other million Walgreens.
