Its so sad that here in Peoria Illinois our once large TJMaxx store has been reduced to the size of a janitors closet! Its so packed with merchandise that you feel like you are playing Jenga if you take anything off the shelf. There are huge boxes overloaded with merchadise just sitting in the middle of the store, its truely a disgusting feeling like you re searching through a garbage dump for something to wear or decorate your home with. We deserve better shopping conditions! This is deplorable conditions and for that reason I refuse to shop at the Peoria store. Our Marshalls is a bigger store and kept in better condition, HomeGoods is another disappointment due to moving into a store with such small square footage that its impossible to shop using a shopping cart. TJX you have failed the shoppers of Peoria Illinois and until you hold your district managers accountable for leasing the correct size of your stores and your local managers for keeping the stores looking approachable and inviting, I will not be shopping with you!

I like the way the check out line is set up. If someone has an issue with the register or their purchase, you're not stuck in the wrong line like you would be at Walmart. Lots of nice reasonably priced items for sale.

Wife and I needed to get some updated clothes for our 5 and 6 year old children and walked out with 3 outfits each for around $60 total - would have bought way more if they just had more in stock. Enjoy the quality of the selections just need more in stock items >.<

Fun time looking for sticking stuffers! It's always a treasure hunt, you never know what you'll find. Only issue this time was there were lots of cars and boxes on the floor to be shelved (understandably) but it made getting around with a cart a challenge.

The staff are super friendly. I shop mostly for beauty items and they don't have many open/swatched/broken items, and the aisles are well organized. The only negative is that there is ALWAYS screaming babies when I shop here, but that's not a fault of the store.

Tried to return a Junior crop top today with a receipt and tag, however it was missing the T.J.Max tag. I was treated like I had purchased it elsewhere or stole it and was trying to return it with a random receipt. They had to verify that they sold the brand then offered the lowest price on my receipt and offered in store credit, because they couldn’t match the description too the receipt. I then choose to keep the item because I wasn’t getting the full refund. My negative review is for how I was treated and how they list items on the receipt. They really need to improve their receipt item labels to brand vs listing the department item was sold in!

The collection in the Mens section is poor. I went on different days of the week to see if the collection improves after restocking but wasn’t successful. Perhaps it’s because of the location (smaller city).Womens section is quite good though. Plus, they usually have lots of toys for kids.

Everything is clean and organized! Staff were friendly and there was a lot of merchandise at great prices. I unexpectedly got my Christmas shopping done 7 months early because there were so many perfect items at prices I couldn't refuse!

I really enjoy this store. Perfect size means being able to check out the whole store without feeling exhausted afterwards like you might with bigger retail stores. They have a good variety of items, and you can find some good "name brand" items for less than you might typically find them elsewhere. I buy electronics like phone accessories or headphones, usually under $10-15. Brand name Workout clothes for the gym for $20 or less, and all sorts of lotions, shampoos, good smells, etc. If you're looking for a specific brand or item, you may not find it here. But if you're looking for retail therapy, or for some general items on a budget, this is a great place.

New store aisles aren't big enough for 2 people to shop the racks. Very small. I'm greatly disappointed in the new store. I loved shopping at TJ Maxx. The space should've been doubled. Too much merchandise in a small space. It looks really junky. The previous store was welcoming and open and always looked clean. Won't be shopping there very often.

Found a pair of glasses in the sit of the cart. Husband took them up to the check out counter and the checker informed him he could not cut in line and he needed to go to the end. He said he was just dropping these (glasses) off up here , as they were found in the seat of our car. She rudely told him to just out them there and went back to what she was doing. Left the store without buying anything and it will be a long time before I go back in that stor

Good prices and good offerings. Most reliable place to go if you need a coat, belt, bag for travel, or reliable pair of shoes last-minute. My complaint is that this TJ Maxx location does not seem to have some of the nicer offerings that you find with TJ Maxx's in larger cities.
