TLDR: They have wasted my time by routinely canceling appointments last minute to the point my naturally fluffy dog is now egregiously fluffy and is desperate need of grooming.I have a very fluffy dog that would get groomed monthly, if not every other month. We have used Petco for grooming since I adopted him and we were happy to continue that trend when we moved to Peoria in 2022. I was always kind of iffy about the quality of the hair cut he would receive at this location but never minded much since the de-shedding was what we really went for.His last grooming was in October of 2023. We got turned away in early December due to having a residual cough from a case of kennel cough he had in November. He had been cleared by the vet but they wouldn't accept him without yet another vet visit to clear him. Shortly after in mid December he caught the canine virus going around and we kept him home isolated for 30 days so as not to spread it. Mind you, he still has a residual cough and is extremely shaggy at this point but its winter time and he doesn't mind.We are going on a trip at the end of March and wanted him to be cleaned up before he was boarded during that time. I took time off of work on March 11th since we have to travel into town to get this done, only for them to call me the Friday before saying that the person is out sick that day. Ok, whatever, I can't cancel my day off at this point but things happen, not a big deal. They managed to get me in on March 20th, which works great since he will be getting boarded that Friday. So I take another day off. They have just called me AGAIN, on March 19th, telling me they are canceling my appointment, AGAIN, because the groomer is out sick AGAIN.So, I have now booked 3 appointments, 1 in December, 1 in early March, and now 1 for tomorrow March 20th, and twice they have pre-emptively called me only a business day before to cancel saying the groomer is already calling out sick. I've never requested nor specified a specific groomer.This is incredibly rude and disrespectful to my time seeing how I've now had to take 2 days off work to try to get him in before he gets boarded at the end of March. Absolutely disrespectful of my time, and am glad I was already in conversations with other grooming services to get on their books. Please avoid this grooming service if you are able.

Hard to beat the Self Wash dog wash tubs. Only $10 and you get good water pressure, shampoo, and towels. Will be back.

Nichole asked and listened to my thoughts on how I wanted Joker groomed. I felt very comfortable leaving him with her as she expressed she had taken care of and groomed many big dogs before. I was extremely happy with the way Joker looked when I picked him up. We will return to be groomed with Nichole!

Staff was very professional and attempted to make my dog as comfortable as possible. My dog was scared due to the noise so staff made suggestions regarding future grooming. My dog smelled much better and the staff did an excellent job on her nail trim.

Grooming was done in a very timely fashion. Cherie called before the scheduled time to let me know of a cancellation so that I could bring my dog in earlier. My dog looks fabulous! Cherie was very friendly, courteous, professional, and obviously got along famously with my pet.

I gave a 10 to using Petco as my Grooming place to take my dog. They always get her in when her appointment is and I always pick her up anywhere from an hour to two hours later. I gave a nine for the Grooming on the most recent one as Lucy‘s groomer had a emergency so she wasn’t able to groom her so I used someone else that was there that day. She did a fantastic job and her customer service was impeccable but the only thing I felt she cut her more like a poodle as she is a Cockapoo and The top of her head was a little too short but other than that the haircut was perfect and did a very good job. I would still use her if there was ever another emergency I will just instruct her to make her face look more like a cocker spaniel instead of a poodle. I love the way Petco has the best Grooming setup and just a fact you can see through window and watch the dogs being groomed Is the best thing. Petco is the only place in Peoria Illinois that I will ever take my dog to.

Petco was excellent in cutting my terrified puppy's nails. They were patient and talked to her in a soothing voice. They never gave up and were able finish her nails.
