Took my beloved cat of 13 years in after he died (they were going to take him in right away but he died before we got there) His remains came in a beautiful wooden box, (they gave me multiple choices) a beautiful silky blue bag with in the box and a nice velvet bag for the box to go in. A nice big clay paw print and a very nice death certificate with a card and info on pet bereavement services. I'm new to the area and will bring my other furbabies for their wellness care.

Staff is very good at handling my cat who is feisty and anxious. She's less stressed than she's been at other clinics and the staff is very communicative and leaves me with no questions by the end of the visits, which go by quickly. They always follow up after her vaccinations to make sure she's not having a reaction, which is very thoughtful.

NEVER take your pet to this place! They can’t do vaccines right because they can’t read a chart! They don’t realize that your pets are actually patients & loved by their family! These people simply don’t care. Incompetent from the receptionist to the doctor! I wish I could have given them zero stars!

This is a very good .Vet .clinic. .I was looking all over, I found them and they treated my kitty so good and gentle. .Also answered any questions I had. They are so nice and I would recommend to anyone! I had Dr..Gratton, then the second time, Dr. .Peterson. It was a good experience which is what I have been looking for. My vet retired so it has been hard to find one. But this clinic, on.Prospect Rd..let me breathe a sigh of relief. They care and I can trust them with my..kidz

I’ve taken both my dog and cat here. The staff are always friendly and love on my pet. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and helpful. Good communication throughout my puppies surgery and even did a follow up call after wards to make sure she was doing ok.

Finding the Peoria Area Veternarian Group has been a godsend for both me and my beloved cat, Pete, who has been receiving cancer treatments. Before, we were making frequent trips to the University of Illinois Veternarian Clinic, which made for a very long and excruciating day for both of us. The PAVG veternarians, veternarian techs, and front staff are all so proficient, kind, and magnificent. Pete has been receiving wonderful care. I love everyone at PAVG.

Been going to the Dunlap office for 11 years but recently my dog was diagnosed with lymphoma, getting treatment at the Peoria office. At both places, the folks are just so good at their job and show so much care and compassion. Very helpful and happy to explain anything multiple times in case you didn't understand or remember.

I’m sure the services and other staff at the Townline location are great, but whatever woman they had answering the phone right around noon on Tuesday 6/13 completely put me off from coming in. I was scared for my cat and trying to get her seen. She answered the phone asking verbatim, “How can I help you?” I said I was looking to schedule an appointment for my cat as soon as possible and this woman snapped back at me, “WELL I kind of need to know who I’m talking to first!” My boyfriend was next to me and heard her and gave the same confused expression I did. I scheduled the appointment, but ended up immediately calling the Dunlap location instead. I needed her in sooner, but even if a sooner appointment had been available in Peoria, I still would have opted for Dunlap instead as I was scared and emotionally exhausted and the last thing I needed was a staff member being snotty to me for NO reason. Dunlap not only got us in sooner, but EVERY member of staff gave us the patience and compassionate care we needed. I wish I remembered her name because she needs to be given a lesson by her higher ups that taking her bad day/attitude out on possible new clients in a job that requires compassion is not a great idea.Edit—I feel the need to edit this and mention that VERY quickly after posting my review, management reached out to me and was incredibly kind. I didn’t feel right leaving the review as is based on the actions of one member of staff. The Peoria location was actually recommended to me and I’ve heard nothing but great things about them. After speaking to management I trust this was a one off kind of thing. My cat’s situation was and possibly still is life threatening, so it’s been an intensely emotional week. A little bit of compassion goes such a long way and I can tell beyond a shadow of a doubt management and the staff understand this. Despite the not so great first impression I’m certain if I ever visit this location in the future they will be just as lovely as Dunlap was

The peoria location is absolutely amazing.. These Dr's, Nurses and Techs have taken the utmost care of our puppy Blu. He was a very sick pup, and they were so quick acting and forward thinking and absolutely 100% saved our puppy's life. Blu and his parents cannot thank all of your staff enough! Blu has found his lifelong vet!!

Just started taking my rabbit here. Everyone is so nice and caring and Dr. Suzanne is seriously the best!! I have a dwarf lionhead angora and her hair was badly matted in some areas. Dr. Suzanne never judged and only offered help and advice on what she does with her own angoras. She was able to get the mats out, shave her down and gave her an exam also. My bunny is happy and healthy and I am so grateful : ) This is the only place I will ever take her!

We had a pet rat Cosmo. They were very kind, considerate, and compassionate to us throughout his treatment at that office. Between taking the time to patiently talk to me about costs. To work with us as we tried to diagnose him. Unfortunately when it turned out to be his time to go they worked with me so it wouldn't need to be an appointment. The price was very reasonable. They were always so excited to see Cosmo. They made a plaque for us of his little paw prints and allowed us to be there with him. A few days after we also received a very kind card signed by many of the staff. At the time of my little rats passing there were three health care professionals at his bedside caring for him. Everyone here is above and beyond amazing. Thanks for treating our little dude like the rockstar he was! Thanks for being there for the love and passion of the animals. 🖤🖤 Glad I got to see and experience that passion through our difficult time, it made it easier. Would return and recommend friends/ family.

My name is Diane Mcpherson. I have been going to the Peoria Area Vet Group (Dunlap Vet) for years. We have been through many happy and sad moments with our dogs. This clinic shares happy times but is also kind compassionate and caring through the very sad times. They are trustworthy and are great with all pets. They are up to date on treatments/treatment and I can honestly say they saved one of our pets’ life. They go out of their way for their clients/patients. I would go nowhere else. They are the best!!!

Spent more than expected amount of time with Vet (Rachel) and had all questions answered. Also, it was much appreciated that I did not feel like they were trying to sell me tests/treatments/exams that were not necessary like a lot of vet clinics do. Thank you for a great experience!

I tried to call and ask about prices the lady said , if your not a client, I can't help you ,it takes to long to figure out the price. Like what . I could have been. I FIND THAT RUDE. HOW DO YOU EVEN GET CLIENTS IF THAT IS THE ADITUDE YOU HAVE. WHO ACTS LIKE THAT. WOW . I WOULDN'T WANT TO BE A CLIENT NOW. They really need to work on there customer service.

We LOVE Peoria Area Vet Group! Our first experience with their team was Friday, March 13th...the day our state shut down with Covid. My sweet 8 month old German Shepherd had been hit by a car. All the vets near us (in the country, west of Peoria) were closed and had no Vet on staff at the time. PAVG picked up on the first ring, told me to bring him right in, and away we went! They x-rayed him, pampered the poor scared guy, and got him all wrapped up. For 7 weeks, I was in nearly twice a week to have him re-bandaged and checked out. Every single person we encountered was patient, caring, understanding, and knowledgeable. That was all I needed to know this would be our forever pet-care team. We take both of our German Shepherds here, as well as our two cats. They helped my husband make the heart-wrenching decision to put his best friend, Ava (13.5 yo German Shepherd) to rest. Their compassion truly touched him and helped him through the process. We will always rely on their team to help us with our furry friends!
