So after 10 years this leaf blower that I love crapped out on me so I tracked it down at Nina Ace Hardware and walked in and found out that after 10 years leaf blowers have changed. I’m standing there in the aisle and this guy just comes over and starts helping me with without being asked. When I when I decide on a leaf blower, he then takes me out back and put some gas in it and starts it up and shows me how to use it without me asking to do this. Then he gets my warranty information all entered into the computer, my manual, walks me to the front. I’ll tell you what Customer Service is almost dead, but not here. This guy Justin was awesome. I was trying to track down Doug the manager to tell him what a great experience I had but he never came out so , I had a great experience with Justin , sorry this is choppy. I’m dictating with my voice.

Decent neighborhood hardware store. The staff is generally pretty helpful and friendly. They have a little of everything from every day items to odds and ends and toys.

I like nenas I always believed to stick with the little guy the guy within the neighborhood the one that is keeping the community strong and not selling out old major corporation you're awesome the people that work here are very considerate and very helpful in all of your needs I enjoy coming here and then sleep as it always makes me feel at home they also have quite a few amenities that you can't find other places all you have to do is ask

The very best of the old time family type service. I love the folks at my local Nena Ace Hardware in Peoria IL. on Forest Hill.I've sometimes just gone in the store because I know I'll find a small item to purchase and they make you feel good just being there.

I've never gone into this place without someone being more than willing to help me with whatever I'm doing. All the staff there are very polite and extremely helpful. I have a home Depot up the street and a Lowe's in the opposite direction but I still will go here but I know I need to get exactly what I'm looking for.

Customer Service sucks! There is a older gentleman that work there and I noticed the last couple times Ive been in there he has helped me and both times he didnt have a clue to whats right. They just lost a faithful customer over $10 when it was their staff fault!

Before I went to the store I called to make sure that they made keys. The sweetheart that answered the phone could not have been nicer, so friendly and pleasant! (I wish I could remember her name, darn it.) When I got to the store she recognized my voice and that same sweet personality shone through. She called back to the key area and gave them a heads-up that a lady was coming back to get a key made. I went back and was met by Bill who was also a great guy - efficient, very friendly and helpful. I paid for my $7 keys and you would have thought I was spending $7 million! So warm and welcoming, just made my day. This is by far the best store in Peoria... maybe the best store in Illinois... maybe even the best store in the world ♥️

I have never been a hardware store fan. I mean tools...cool. But I love this store. I'm from Cali, and we were clearly doing hardware wrong. They're so nice and helpful here. And why are the snacks here fire?? Voodoo pretzels and flavored popcorn for the win. OH yeah...and screws of course 🤣

First off I have been a loyal customer to THIS Ace since we relocated here in 2022. Everything seemed to go fine when I would go and shop. HOWEVER, the ONE time I try and return some items that did not function correctly I was treated as though I was doing something wrong. I did not have my receipt but the items were in there original ACE packaging since they were in fact ACE branded products. After getting the 3rd degree about the receipt, and being an ACE rewards customer (not ONCE did they ask if the item was defective, damaged, or even the reason as to why I was returning the items) the store accepted one item but stated that they could not take the other item stating that it was not purchased there. Now clearly it was an ACE product. They said that it was purchased at another store and that they would not take it for a return. Long story short I walked out with the DEFECTIVE item that they would not take for return. Now I will return to shop at this Ace BUT only for 'consumable' items that have no chance of ever having to be returned. You lost a loyal customer today over a $15.99 item.

Helpful folks, small and compact store, but you'll find what you need. Good plant selection for gardening and landscaping for a smaller store. Very diverse herbs and vegetables in the parking lot hoop house.

Rude and unprofessional staff today that I haven't encountered before. I have been doing business there for years. After my experience today, I will never go again. There are other Aces in the area as well as Lowe’s. They didn't understand the product they sold me, which broke on the first use today. They wouldn't accept a return on the faulty product they sold me.I had to go to the manufacturer to get help. The young kids working thought they knew better than my husband, who is very handy, and treated him like he was a dumb old man. Bottom line... They should get to know their products better, and treat people with respect.

Came here for a pickup order and as soon as I walked in, I was told to leave my mini backpack at the front with a cashier. I informed them I am just doing a pickup order. It's not really a good look to assume customers are going to steal. It feels like the type of store to watch customers like hawks so I'm sure theyd be able to catch someone actively stealinflg. If you don't trust people to shop with their backpacks why should I trust that something won't get stolen from my bag by employees or other customers while you "watch" it? I always carry this bag in other stores with no problem. Won't be back.

I am not a very hardware operating person. I just have the standard tool bag. My family goes to this shop every year to get my Mom mother's day flowers.They do a beautiful outdoor greenhouse every year and have fairly priced beautiful hanging baskets that most people can't kill easily.My mom is a good gardener tho so this year we got a good few plants in pots she can plant in her garden. The plants are well kept and healthy.This is also the I place I know where you can buy rubber band propellor balsa wood planes. My family likes to do this once or twice a Summer. Best fun under $5. We make them, race them, loop them, crash them and laugh.They only had foam planes today but we will try again in summer for the wood planesIf I needed a tool the people here are real friendly, so I would probably get the next one here instead of Walmart.

Treated like a thief everytime I shop here. Possibly racist or classiest. Avoid.Employees are overly helpful in that "we are watching you thief" way. Always hanging around asking if you need help. Easily have 5 employees asking one after another if you need help. Had to nearly yell at one guy to leave me alone.Got escorted to the register to make sure I paided for $10 in screws.Going to stick to the hardware stores in the black part of town, big box stores or just order online

All the staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable about a wide range of products. There is always someone readily available to assist by answering questions or finding specific items.The store is well stocked with a variety of quality brands.You can feel good about shopping here because you're supporting a locally owned, family business who have been in the area for years.

Went to purchase stain for the deck. Was told it was on sale 10.00 off per can. Did not receive the discount. Also purchased brushes rollers and tape which if it fit in a 5 gallon bucket you received 20% off of those items. The only thing I got was charged 5.56 for the bucket. I try to support local but this is one place that will never see another penny of my hard earned money.

The great local hardware store! They truly have helpful people in store to answer any questions or help you find anything in store! This is my go to place if I need one or two items and want to be in and out quick! They always seem to have what I'm looking for in stock, and at a good price too
