I don't know how much of a value it really is. Some things were cheaper. Some more expensive. The cheap stuff didn't offset the price of the more expensive stuff. Wasn't worth the 25 mile drive to find out. We ended up going to Aldis and finishing our shopping.Valucheck buys at cost, so they sell at cost and add 10%, plus the local taxes.Store was clean and staff was friendly. Probably won't be going back here.

I tried to get gas here and it rejected my credit card. But it also took $175 off my card! It's been pending for 3 days! The store said it will return it. But its been 3 days! What If that was the rest of my money? Very screwed up. Avoid this place! Pretty mad about it.

I buy 10 pound bags of chicken quarters here. At checkout 10% is charged on every item. Example: the listing price for chicken quarters is $6.90 for a ten pound bag. At checkout an extra 10% is charged: $6.90 + 69¢ =$7.59. That is still a good deal.

I live close to valucheck I love walking down here and very cheap prices and good quality easy to get in and out the customers service is so good always have a good conversation when going in there they all do look like they don't want to be there u just got to say something funny or start a lil conversation it'll make there day love this store

I don't like the random 10% increase at the register. You know it going in, but it still makes absolutely no sense to me. Their prices are also pretty high compared to other places. Last time I was there I spent $10 on the cheapest toilet paper I could find that wasn't 2 ply and a single can of soup. The cashiers are also always wandering around and give you dirty looks when you interrupt their conversations to check out.

Always find a good deal here. They add 10% to your bill but prices are way cheaper than anywhere else, even the big club stores. Love their hotel steaks.

Unfortunately I will never go back. The place is usually very clean and not crowded. Items on sale are a really good price but the groceries I normally buy are more expensive here. They are the only store in town that sell cookies my daughter and a beer that I like so I stop in once in a while to pick up a few items when I don't need a lot. After getting my other groceries I went the liquor section and grabbed 3 individual beers. While in line the cashier said that she would not ring me up. I only had 7 grocery items plus the 3 beers. I also had a lottery ticket to cash so had to wait in line to cash the ticket then go to the front to check out my groceries. The woman in front of me had more items but they were mostly alcohol, so I guess that's ok. She also paid in 2 separate transactions, so she took longer than I did at the main checkout. I would have just left the groceries and walked out except I had already told my daughter I was getting something for her. Terrible service. No wander they are always slow.

Workers are very rude. The groceries ain't bad price. The bakery is very good. But if you ride bikes they don't have a bike rack for you to lock your bike. They don't have nothing there to lock your bike. You'll have to lock your wheel and hopefully nobody picks it up and goes in the back of the truck and takes off with it

Horrible Place to Shop, management needs improvement and better customer service. Place needs to be Shut Down. Director Tom touchs his employees to much, and like to call his Autistic employees Rainman. He needs to be fired from his job. The night manager Kim likes to make fun of the customers that come in and like to start drama in the store. Always smell like weed whenever around them. Needs major Improvement.

This store is GREAT!!! The entire store is carpeted and the prices of most items are 30 percent to 50 percent lower than Kroger's!!!! My favorite store now. They have bulk items cheaper too. Thanks Value Check!!!!

They have a lot of things for sale that you won't find at other chain stores. Store was well stocked and clean. Prices reasonable. Very wide aisles. Plenty of elbow room. No deli, etc, but they have some basic stuff prepackaged. You have to sack your own groceries, but they supply the bags. Don't like the fact that every price on their products are 10 percent lower than what you pay at checkout. They add the 10 percent back on at checkout. Wish they would just be up front with the actual price to start with. A little deceptive in my mind. I still like shipping there from time to time. Hasn't changed that I can see.The more that I visit here the more I like it, but I don't get over this way that often. Bought some ham salad today and it was very good.

Staff is very nice and has a great selection. Most items are usually .10 to .15 cents cheaper. Check out is fast. They also carry home ice, which is what we buy weekly

Great grocery store. They are good at making sure items they sell are always in stock. As well as carry lots of items other stores do not. Peanut butter chocolate milk They! Stewart's old fashioned soda, just to name a few things I can not find at others stores, if I can it is no where as reasonably priced. They are the only store in town that has prime rib seasonally, very friendly staff. My go to grocery store. Highly recommend this store

Overall, I've had great experiences with this store. I was impressed by prices and their placement. I was more impressed with their organic produce selection. I think it would be difficult to do a large load of groceries since you bag your groceries yourself (from what over seen) especially with small children, but I have no complaints as far as quality and price.
