Took a trunk And back seat full of stuff there. Tons of people out back smoking and having a good time. I greeted them with no response in return. Ask where they would like the stuff I was "donating" in reply, I got we are overwhelmed just give it to me. Wow. You are getting it for Free be more grateful. Without donations that are in fact being sold there. You wouldnt have a job! Never again!

Loved coming here took 4-5 trips about a month ago but got everything I needed for my new apartment. Bobby was great helping us with the big items to be packed in our vehicle even though he was quite annoyed by us by the end of those two day's lol! Other staff was very nice and inviting but also probably annoyed by how many times we came there lol! Overall good experience and love our furniture and other items we purchased!

This is the for the owner, Brenda or Trenda? She is a very rude lady with a nasty attitude. I asked very politely for a measuring tape as I was purchasing a piece of furniture. She gave me a dirty look and said she would help me as soon as she done with this another customer. I then watched her speak inappropriately in a very degrading manner to a older man who is in line front of me. Answering his questions in a very disrespectful way. I purchased my furniture and kept my interactions with her short. I left and callwd because i wanted to talk to a manager. Lo and behold Brenda said that she was the mananger. I told her that she is very rude and degrading and that I had a very poor experience in her store. I then hung up. SHE CALLED ME BACK and instead of apologizing she started justifying her actions and saying that she didn't think she was rude. I told her that she is an adult and needs to ownership of her actions. I am appalled by this whole interaction and will no longer be doing business with the Hope Chest. Please do better BRENDA/TRENDA.

Literally hate this place!!! They get everything for free, they say they're a "charity organization" but over price everything in their store. Most times you can get brand new for about $10 more. They're known for bed bugs, in their furniture. I refuse to donate here, or shop here.

I went to the new Hope Chest in Pekin and couldn't find anything worth buying. Most people left with little or nothing. We did however get to enjoy listening to the employees shopping the donations behind the wall for really nice Ombre style curtains and things. Which may explain why all very nice things I've donated I've never seen on the floor. Wont happen again.

I went here for the first time a few weeks ago or so and I love this place. prices are pretty good except for some clothing and I found some nice kicthen stuff and sewing things here! the place is nice but you cant really get to know who the workers are since there is always a line and its always who is nex tto pay but over all I dont mind it and I love this place! I will be coming here more often!

Staff is rude and shops on the clock more than customers. Watched a “manager” snatch a toy from a baby and totally disrespect the family with the baby. Disgusting and appalling behavior, couple with a store that reeks of mold!

I bought a couch and had it delivered. Jamie coordinated everything efficiently and was very friendly. Jeff and Danny delivered the couch, and maneuvered it up stairs and a very tight turn. They were so awesome, professional and pleasant. Will definitely return to the store. Great experience.

Tonight we went in 30 minutes till close. The staff was very rude and pushy. 15 minutes till close you have 10 minutes to get the registers others wise we won't serve you. If you close 6pm you take till 6pm. Mind you this was the boss she corrected the team saying this. We will never be back. I never buy from a place that's rude to customers. We drive 40 minutes to come here and get yelled at for being there close to closing time

Same over priced garbage, they get as donations. Just dropped in a differant location. They like to leave prices off things and when you ask about the items they drag it to the back an say they can't sell anything without a tag. Everything they get is free but they sell it at big store prices.

I don't know why but I love this place, I always buy at least one bag full of stuff.I like digging through all the stuff that they have, sometimes I unearth treasures. The clothes are really affordable and everything go to the church or is donated to people in need. So much better than supporting Goodwill industries and their CEO that is paid millions every year.

The hope chest is amazing. You can always find great clothes for very low prices. They provide a lot of great services for the community. Everyone there is so nice. Even with Furniture as inexpensive as it is they still provide delivery of that furniture for a nominal price. I love the hope chest I'm sure you will too!

The Hope chest is such a great store! Everyone is always smiling and helpful! Their ability to help those in need and their recent adaptations to the services they have are unlike most of the places in this area! So many programs for those who are homeless, recently relocated, those below the poverty line, help for parents during the school year and Christmas as well! You can’t beat the prices either!

It seems like this place has raised thier prices considerably since opening. Everything is donating so advertising as a used furniture store now and charging for queen matress and headboard is outrageous considering you can find them for cheaper on marketplaces. Used to love this place but now seems like every other business charging as much as they can for a profit this place used to be about helping people.

Loved the great Birthday sale prices was great got a ton of things lots of pants since I'm loosing weight and can be buying brand new each time I go down a size. What would have cost me over $43.00 cost me less than $20.00 had I bought all new would have been over $300.00. They all looked almost new and one pair still had tags on them where they was new not bad for $.40 cents a pair. Also found a bunch of new and gently used nicknacks. That was included in the cost of $19.62 .and it really was only $9.62 because my husband won a $10.00 gift card. Love the place but they would bring back the punch cards.

One of my favorite places. Even after moving out of state. We'r still make time for a stop in when we are back. Staff is always friendly and attentive. Always a fabulous sale on the board or check their facebook. Great prices and wonderful community outreach with the food pantry and they also offer a pet pantry for those in need. Can I give 6 stars? Great place! Always 99cent clothes

Absolutely love this place! Crazy cheap clothing, even for a thrift store. Not a huge selection but you definitely can find some good stuff!I enjoy rehabbing older wooden furniture soI'm sure stop every week or two to check out the inventory since it changes often.

The Hope Chest is a wonderful place to pick up some slightly used items for cheap. My experience with The Hope Chest is only positive, and my experience with it is fantastic. I would highly recommend taking a stop by, as you never know what you are going to find.

Very fair prices with daily deals. They occasionally have food and produce available. Recently reorganized and it's much less cluttered. Staff is always friendly and they often help those in need. If you're ever needing to get rid of clothes, trinkets, furniture, etc I would suggest dropping them off here.

They sell donated products at a very high price,sometimes more than retail,when you show them proof they curse at you and threats to have you arrested,if you apply for food assistance do not spend more than 25$ there because if you do they ask why do you need food if you are buying clothes and tell you to leave.the cashier older with glasses is an unsavory woman who name calls curses alot and is very unpleasant to deal with
