Store was clean and service is always great. Actually had a man named Alex approach us in the paint department and he was very helpful and asked us if we needed any help with anything. Today we took advantage of the 11% rebate and got some new doors for the house.

Normally I pretty happy with them, but today they gave a special order $700 shower surround to the wrong person and now I have to wait even longer before I can finish my bathroom. Something I've been waiting 3 weeks for already.

I drove an hour and a half to go purchase everything for our dream bathroom that my wife has ben waiting for a long time to get am building a new home ben making blue prints and extensive planning for 3 weeks was going to purchase everything thru menards planned on 6 grand for bath room from the septic line to the exhaust fan in the ceiling. Awfull service at plumbing section . I spent 3 hours in that area . Not one employee offered to help . The young man I stopped to talk to was an idiot walked away when I asked a question about bath tub drain and then an hour and a half later I got fed up left everything setting .Big mistake this was the small project I had . My new home will be purchased elswere . Thanks Menards .

I come here all the time and it's great. I buy a lot online because I hate going inside of stores, but I really like coming to Pekin Menards. They have a huge selection of good products. The staff is friendly and helpful, but only when you need them (not pushy).

Well I have only ever left one bad review before so it’s not my pleasure to leave this review. But during the remodel of my current home I haven’t had great luck with employees from 2 different departments in the last month. The first one was when I was trying to purchase carpet. I asked the sales man to show me where carpet samples from a particular company were located, as I had seen that company online. He looks in the computer and proceeds to tell me that they don’t have that brand of carpet samples in store to look at and that it has to be special ordered, and that I was only able to see the color choices on the computer. He went on to help someone else. I went down another row, and right there were the carpet samples from the company that he said they didn’t have in store.I politely went up to him and said that he might want to know that they did have those samples in store for future reference and I pointed them out to him. He then said, “I know” and walked away. Long story short, I went to Home Depot and they were more than happy to take the time to help me find the right carpet and color I was looking for, so I purchased it there.Then I went back to Menards to buy a tub shower combo. I needed a smaller size than the standard 60” tub combo. Online I found one that I liked that said it came from 54” to 60”. I needed 56”. I tried to get the girl at the desk to order me a 56”. She told me I could only get it in 54 or 60. But the add said 54”TO 60” indicating that it included all the sizes in between. She said no. So I said is there any way I can just custom order what I need, she asked another guy there and he said No. I couldn’t custom order a tub shower combo to the size I needed. I find this VERY hard to believe. Now, I would more than appreciate it if someone told me they didn’t know the answer to my question. But to just lie and say they don’t or can’t makes me pretty aggravated. Soooo tomorrow I will take my business right back to Home Depot and see if anyone there wishes to help me buy a tub shower combo in the size I need.However, I would like to mention that the girls in the paint department are always friendly and helpful, and my poor rating does not include them in any way.

As with all businesses these days, they don't have enough employees. Sometimes it's hard to find items. Wood is hard to pick through sometimes to find good pieces.

The paint department was very helpful and knowledgeable. They took the time to gather the details and gave expert advice on several of their quality paints and applications to make sure it lasted the test of time. Just ask for Ian or Wes!! :)

I love the variety of items at Menards and its rebates. That being said, they do not have very helpful employees. I wandered around trying to find drywall, looking obviously confused. Several staff walked past, not one asked if I needed help. This is pretty typical. But I still love going there.

Had problems with 2 of the 3 things we recently bought. The shower hose holder wouldn't stay attached to shower wall. The decorative windmill fell apart with the first wind.

Bought tree steps from Menards and on my first hunt this year the step snapped in two. Thank god it was the first step and the fall didn’t hurt much, but if this had been the top step I could be dead. SKU 1758757 is rated for 300 lbs, but I’m a 200lb man and it broke like a twig. Must be cheap metal. No one should buy these things and risk a fall.

They have their second electric cart fixed so you stand a better chance of getting one if you need one. I tried the curbside pick up around the back of the store after ordering on line.SWEET!! I will do this again for the 4 gallon jugs of water and 40 pound boxes of cat litter and 30 pound bags of cat food. They put it in the car, and son takes it out when I get home.

I got plexiglass here. Also a few other materials for a small project I was working on. The service was friendly, and I was easily able to find what I was looking for. As all Menards stores, they are conveniently laid out and have almost anything you could need in hardware and home stuffs.

Went to pick up two pcs of starter strip. The lady in the guard shack was guessing it might be in the 2nd board shed. Two guys on fork lifts moving pallets. One customer leaving, we where the only other customers. The guys saw us and completely ignored us. My husband started looking, then climbing on ladders trying to find it. Poorly labeled. I finally called building materials and they sent them to us! Wow almost an hour to get 2 pc starter strip! I shop every week for building materials, and now I know why I shop at Lowes, MUCH better! Menards wasn’t even busy! They basically have no customer service!! In Pekin, Illinois 5/2/23

Excellent! We went there for a rental and it was fantastic. No problems whatsoever.10-3-2022 We went to check out the Halloween decorations. We weren't disappointed. They had a lot of decorations left and we found some unique ones as well. It was worth the stop.

Normally I can find what I want and I get out of there. Today I couldn't find it and had to ask a couple of people who didn't know before Rick was able to take me right to what I needed. Thanks Rick! When I got to the checkout the girl was talking to another employee. I waited and when the other employee walked off I asked if she was open and her response was "I guess" with a big sigh. Sorry for disturbing you Michelle. So a good and a bad experience

Great store, good prices, good people. I wanted to take the time to post about them because I was extra appreciative of something they just did for me. I managed to drop my Menards rebate certificate while I was at the store and I didn't realize it till I got home. When I got home I was in a rush to get something done so I didn't feel like I had the time to go back and get it. 3 days later, though, I checked my mail and I found they had mailed my rebate to me. I really appreciate that they took the time to do this. I wish I could thank the specific person that took the time to send it to me, but unfortunately it didn't say so I just want to give a general shout out to thank them for doing this for me.

The experience was fine until time to check out. Extremely rude cashier. None of my purchases were able to fit a bag, all had to be put back into the cart. Rather than roll the cart to me, she just stood there and looked at me. When she realized I was waiting for my cart, she raised her foot and shoved it towards me.

Cold as outside . Automatic doors are frozen open when it gets cold . Employees are working on them daily. Could probably get more people to work if they had another set of doors at entrance. Not only this but would help with heating /cooling costs.Workers at check out in winter coats and gloves. Open all the windows at corporate and see if you have a good day ! Bet your productivity goes down too !As far as the store it is stocked with alot .And most of the employees are helpful .Also I won't buy building supplies at a grocery store . And won't buy food at a building supplies company .

Couldn't order half the stuff we wanted for curbside delivery it was stuff only available in the store.... Show up and have to check in at the yard gate then we have to go stand inside the door while the three employees at the counter have a term minute conversation about their afterwork plans before finally asking us if we have been helped. They finally bring up our order in a pallet and stop at the door. I ask if they can take the order outside... No they can't take the forklift outside... No boxes bags nothing just a whole bunch of loose stuff.. To carry out to the car myself. And then to checking at the gate again. How is this curbside business if I have to go in the store and carry out all the stuff myself and deal with 6 employees along the way? And there is a processing fee for this service? How is this a convenience?

I would rate lower if possible. The rebate does not really exist. I've been waiting for weeks for over $200.00 in rebates. Store mangement basically said not their problem. Another co takes care of rebates. Big waste of time along with a big rip off.(¡‽
