Super friendly staff who are always willing to help. My only complaint is that it is always overcrowded with stock. The main walkways always have pallets and carts in them that you can barely walk around. There's just not enough room for everything, so displays are set up at the end of the side aisles right in the way of the main aisles. It's like dodging an obstacle course going shopping!

It's your basic Dollar General but since this particular facility is in a small town, you know the workers and some of the customers. They have great service and good prices; however since the name is DOLLAR General, you'd think everything would be a dollar or a little bit more, but nope. It's not terribly pricey but some things are a bit over priced. You can find things easily and quickly.

For it being dollar general, you'd think it would be cheaper than a regular store. But there are many products that can be pricey. However, the employees are very kind, and love coming in to smiling workers. It is something we don't see often these days.

South Pekin DG is by far the best in the area. The shelves are always stocked and floor is clean of merch and racks. Customer service could use a little improvement. The employees that I have encountered do not seem to be people persons. I wouldn't say they are rude but they do not greet customers coming in nor say anything leaving after making a purchase.

I was visiting Petersburg from Florida. It was my Mom's 80th birthday and I was in the store to get some groceries. As I was trying to put my wallet into my purse and the cashier had bagged my groceries & I still hadn't put my wallet & my purse... I was trying as fast as I could. The cashier was already checking out the next customer! Keeping in mind that my groceries were still on the counter I was still standing there where I had checked out. There was nobody there to put my groceries in the cart! She could have walked around and put my groceries in the cart before she started checking out the next customer. Not only do I think she was rude I think she was lazy. It's not like I was purposely trying to go slow. There were people up at the customer service. But having said that it would have taken her less than 2 minutes to walk around and put my bags in the cart before she checked out the next customer while I was still standing there with no bags on the counter. RUDE. It's too bad that my mom and people of Petersburg and nearby towns have no other options. Unfortunately my mom doesn't have much choice If I lived closer she would!

Staff was nice. They have plenty of cleaning supplies in stock as well as gifts for Christmas for children. Overall big win on the time to go shopping and the quantity of products

Was at South Pekin location and left got home after closed and realized $12 worth of items purchased were not with me they were left in store. When called and discussed the situation I was asked to wait over 36 hours til the manager came in.. If it wasnt for the milk my children needed for there cereal I purchased 2 mondo size boxes of I wouldn't maybe be do upset but WITH a receipt and no other way to prove I was forced to go buy milk elsewhere so for future I might do the same for all my last minute must haves I may just do just that, shop elsewhere. Employee was not rude tho at least thats the only other nice comment I have.. Sorry wish they were as well

Living in a small village with only two stores can be challenging. We go to this Dollar General if we need something right away but it is definitely not my favorite DG. There seems to be a high turnover rate of employees. The store is usually messy and hard to navigate. There's often a wait to check out. Overall it's not a pleasant experience and if I can stop at another DG in a nearby town, I do so.

I was just most the ladies are really nice, the one there tonight was awful. Very rude!!!! Abby and Ashley go out of there way to be nice!! I go there often will not go in if i see her there when i drive up!!!

South Pekin Dollar General is fast in and out. Might I add they are way cheaper and 100% more stocked than Walmart in Pekin.
