I went in on 2/26/24 a little before closing to get stuff to make smores. I walked in and was greeted by the owner and another employee. I told the owner what I needed and he kindly led me around the store to each item I needed and then quickly was able to get me through the register. You will not find this kind of service anywhere and I appreciate their hard work to keep our grocery store open in a small town. Keep up the amazing work!

This is an updated review Start Feb 2024.Nice small town grocery store.Henry seems to be the Top gun there as the new owner.I have personality seen him facing and sticking the shelves.Je is definitely a family man from conversations with him.The employees are all personable and willing to help above and beyond.Adam in the meat department does his best to offer everything that carnivores enjoy.He has been there for decades.Seems like a lot of the core people working there have been there awhile.Thanks for all your hard work.As prices have increased so have wages for the employees.I don't mind the prices as it directly supports where I live as well as them being able to provide for their families.

I live two minutes away but will always drive the extra 20 minutes to go literally anywhere else. Everything is expired or gross and the store is always dirty.

Farmers shop here so the floor might be dirty but they have a good meat selection and local milk and eggs.

Nice small town grocery store. Not the cheapest but they have a great meat selection. Best cuts around. If you just get the weekly sales items you can save some money

Excellent selection of quality meats. Everything in the Deli is so-o-o good. They serve excellent lunches and dinners too ! I bring the grandkids here every Friday for 'quarter day'. They love getting things out of the machines. The new owner has done a great job keeping the quality and value the locals trust . Watch for the weekly specials 👍‼️ Don't buy Bud Light !!!!!!

I live out of state, and haven't heard good things about topway since the change of ownership.I tried to call in a gift card for an Easter present and they claim they can't do the transaction over the phone.I feel like back in the day, they would of been better help.It's also possible that it's just too if an odd request.Please stop charging people $6+ dollars for eggs.

Great neighborhood grocery store! Selection is overall pretty good. Prices are a little on the higher side, but reasonable. I find the prices here are much better than at Sullivan's in Winnebago. Employees are friendly and they have a pretty decent deli too.

Prices are ridiculous. If u get the flyer and stick to the sales it's not too bad but milk was over $3. It's clean and a very good small town experience. Staff were mostly blah. Polite but not overly friendly. The shoppers were super polite though.

This place has declined significantly since new ownership took over over a year ago. The new owner came in and got rid of all the full time managers and employees and replaced them with kids. The customer service has declined considerably. The deli and bakery have been ruined. The prices have shot up and the shelves are often bare. Selections have decreased and sale items are often out of stock. This store sucks now and I no longer purchase large quantities or groceries any longer. Now I drive to Freeport. They have lost my business .

It used to be a great place to pick up grocery items quickly. Since it has changed owners it has changed. The deli is ridiculous! Some of the deli workers work hard at looking busy, but will let the customers stand there. I'll drive a little farther for my groceries

The manager yelled at me and got in my face for coming early. The manager was very rude and was not wearing a mask. I asked him to please keep distance and told me he didnt need to listen to me since its his property. Ive shopped at Topway for years but they are clearly not prepared for this pandemic. No one was wearing masks and they are obviously not taking this seriously. I will never shop at Topway again. Never.

Absolutely the rudest, snottiest, sarcastic deli personal I have ever had the displeasure to meet. Really need to hire back the girls you used to have, they were super sweet and very accommodating. These nasty creeps can't even make a fresh sandwich for you. Keep trying to push old wheat sandwichs on you with brown lettuce on it you never asked. Zero salad selection the worst I have ever seen. Sorry to see Topway has been reduced their standards to this pathetic service. No exscuses for this. Wow.

The weekly ad: manager and owner told me that they have no control over ads. This was said after I complained about an item not in stock that was on front page of ad and it was first day of ad !!!!!! They would not give me a rain check or a comparable item for ad price. I have not shopped there since.

All that I like about this place is the bakery.Fresh bread is hard to find at a store around there.Their produce is insanely overpriced.$1.50 for 1 bunch of cilantro?Topway?More like No way!
