Itook my dog there due to my vet not having availability and he needed seen asap so i called paxton vet the doctor was kind listened did blood work and an xray found out my poor baby had a mass in his abdominal area and was in kidney failure we had no idea as we always had blood work done due to meds he was on with the other vet. We had to make the heart breaking choice to let him go as he was suffering and would not get better the doctor was very kind offered to give me some hair from my baby and talked to me the entire time he was crossing over he went peacefully. I recommend this vet to anyone that wants to feel like they are truely being taken care of with compassion and honesty. Some vets want to rush you and not focus on you and your baby. This place really cares about you and your baby. I cant thank the doctor enough for his kidness.

The entire staff have always been top drawer, and Dr. Updike has been our primary vet since day one. They have laughed with us and cried with us, they are and have always been the BEST!!

Great place to take your pets. There affordable & great with animals. My dog recently passed away i called about having her cremated & keepng her ashes they were really sympathetic about it. When i went to pick up the ashes & paw print the office staff that waited on me was very sympathetic. I have been going here for numerous years. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough good things. We've only been bringing our cats here for a short time, but the staff is wonderful, the doctor is caring and willing to teach, and cost is out of this world, I was surprised at the fair prices. I hope to patronize this clinic for a long time

My family has been going to Paxton Veterinary Clinic since before I was born. They are great with horses and small animals. They tend to be busy but their prices are reasonable. I trust them with my pets, which is why I think it is worth the 30 minute drive after I moved away from the area. I have no bad experiences in the decades I been taking my pets there.

This place is cheap for a reason. Subpar service and care. Took a resue cat in 4 times and never once tried anything different or looked more into what was wrong. Just kept giving the same dose of the same stuff every time. We had her chipped there as well, (or so we thought), and went to another vet who did all the right things and tried scanning for her chip and they said it wasn't there. Paxton vet charged us for a microchip and never actually preformed the procedure. Also never gave her rabbies vaccination along with her other shots we got done there, even though it's state law. I am let down to say the least after so many recommendations on this place. Pay the extra money for better care!

Such a dedicated and caring group. They literally saved our rescue dog that had no hair and horrible allergies by formulating her own special shots. She has transformed from smelly and itchy to fluffy and happy. We have been taking all our animals here for over 30 years and feel so lucky to have found them.

I was very impressed with the good customer service squeezing us in to bring our dog as quickly as possible. The vet also schedule our dog for surgery without much hassle, being considerate of our schedule limitations. The veterinarian was great! A nice and easy to talk to person... Definitely a 5 star Vet clinic!

Was pretty skeptical at first with all of the poor reviews I've been seeing. However, they were able to squeeze my baby in the same day when she woke up very sick. So thankful that she was able to be helped so quickly, especially with the busy schedule they have. Back home and resting and feeling better

Always extremely booked up and usually an hour late to scheduled appointments.That’s okay, but what’s not okay is the rude attitude of the woman at the front desk that we have had to deal with time and time again. There’s no point in being rude towards your clients!! Seems like she hates her life and needs to find a new job.

There are about 2 good vets there I’ve been taking my dog for shots since he was 7 weeks old. Today my visit sucked! The vet (which I’ve never met) was very rude & hateful about the fact he double booked his self. Then at the end when I was supposed to get my first months of flee & tick tablets for FREE (as my regular vet said) I got charge $60 for one single tablet (the last 2 times I’ve been there and checked out the they’ve told me it wasn’t put in& try to argue about) there for their communion with each other isn’t there at all and I wouldn’t recommend if you’re a young dog mom to bring your baby here they will definitely take advantage of you like they did me!

This is a great vet. Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. However there is a lady in the office that is let me say, a witch, in better terms. I was recommending this vet to a friend because we’ve had a great experience with this vet and the lady had such a bad attitude my friend will not be going to this vet in the future. She was willing to drive over an hour from her house since I told her that this vet was great.I have also come in contact with this lady on the phone and person and she was the same way with me. I recommend that Paxton vet addresses this issue.

Only one specific person I had a problem with and I’m not even sure what her name was. My dog went for boarding there while I went on vaca. My dog is also a rescue and has really bad separation anxiety so I called frequently and asked for updates, on my last day of vaca I called and this lady answered giving me “she’s fine” as a response and every time I tried asking if she was eating, was she getting along with the staff, was she using the restroom she steadily got more rude and impatient like I was inconveniencing her with my questions about the well being of my dog. I will never be taking my dog there again for boarding if certain staff feel so inconvenienced by my calls to make sure my dog is okay. I love my dog like it’s my child and I’m not letting their rude staff members keep me from checking up on my baby and knowing what her condition is.

Aww I was here on a really sad day. My senior FIV positive cat that I adopted 4 years ago from a shelter had to be helped out of his very weak, sick body.They were very kind and compassionate, making a tough day a little bit less difficult.
